Fully satisfied with my experience. I called at 9 am, and my spent garage door mechanism was entirely replaced and running by that afternoon (springs, track and motor)! I have been using Precision Garage doors for years. They always have great service at a great rate.

I chose Precision door out of three different companies. The price was mid range but I selected them because I was impressed with their high ratings and the quality looked good.
Today my new door was finally installed! The installers arrived when they were supposed to and everything went as scheduled. I was very impressed by the installers (Sergio and David) knowledge and professionalism as they showed me all of the features of the new door. It was not a typical case of hurry up and pay me so I can leave. Instead they took the time to answer all of my questions and make sure I was comfortable with everything, and help to move items back into place before leaving. All in all, a great experience. Door looks excellent, runs quiet, mail slot was installed as i asked, and Sergio and David did a great job with the installation. Highly recommend.

We have used Precision since purchasing a vacation home in Ventura 3 years ago. Both garage doors in the home were older but our Precision tech got them lubed and up to snuff. I appreciated that he didn’t automatically give us the hard sell. Eventually we did have them replace one garage door system and will replace the second one when needed. I’m glad they use the Liftmaster system because we have that same brand in our permanent home and have had very little trouble with it. They aren’t cheap but they guarantee their work so I feel like it’s money well spent. Precision techs have always been very responsive, prompt and friendly. I would highly recommend them!

My husband had called another service before contacting Precision and the idiot messed up all four clickers and we couldn’t open our two garage doors. Called Precison and Mike came out and fixed everything in a timely, quick manner. Mike was absolutely wonderful… Excellent service. Very knowledgable and definitely will only use Precison from here on out.

Needed a new garage door and called Precision Door Service. Got a quote the next day. Daniel ran me through the process and did a thorough job scoping the project. As good as it gets. Made forget the other quotes I received.
The day of the installation, Sergio came out and began the process promptly on time. The door was installed beautifully in both functionality and appearance. He also spent time with me on care instructions. These guy are top notch and highly recommended.

My tenant called me on a Sunday and said that the garage door would not open. I said I would take care of it on Monday but my tenant insisted that it be fixed immediately. I didn’t think I would find anyone to fix it on a Sunday but Precision came right away and fixed it and there was no extra charge for Sunday. So far the door has had no more problems. I would use them again.

They actually have a live person answering service call on a Sunday evening. What a pleasant surprise. The technician came out the next morning as promised to change a broken spring. It was a joy watching Tony the technician at work. He has to be the fastest spring changer in the West. The whole process took under 45 minutes and it was paperless. Keep up the good work guys.

Trevor was wonderful. He was on time, polite, personable, and efficient. I had non working remotes and needed to sync them with my car. He did it in no time flat. I wish I knew more people with garage door issues in order to recommend him. I will recommend Trevor and Precision to people in the future.

Fantastic Job! Made appointment to replace garage door opener and the installer arrived in less than 2 hours. I had actually already connected the rails together and to the motor. So they only charged me $ 250 after the phone rep previously quoted me a higher price. Nice! Then it only took the tech Trevor J. about 2 hours to lift it up and install it, rewire it, set my security code, etc. Also got courtesy call from the installer telling me that he was on the way from Burbank. And Precision even hauled off the old unit. No need to figure out how to dispose of that old clunker. These guys definitely know what they’re doing. Even as someone who likes to do-​it-​myself with repairs, it was worth it to hire these folks to do it right.

Had a technician here to install a new keypad and sell me 2 new programmed remotes. Made appointment on time, called before arriving, quick and efficient service and professional yet friendly attitude. Would definitely recommend Precision Door.

I am very happy with the service I received from Precision Door and I would highly recommend them to anyone with a garage door problem. Toni was my technician and he was excellent. He was at my home within the time period I was given by customer service. He is very professional, courteous, knowledgeable and friendly. I have nothing but praise for this company and I will continue to recommend them to anyone who needs garage door service. I feel like I have a brand new garage door!

I made an appointment yesterday, the technician (Russ) came today as promised. He was supposed to arrive between 2pm and 6pm and called around 1pm to ask if it was OK if he came a bit earlier. He then hit traffic and rain on his drive to Carpinteria so called again to say he’d be a little later than originally scheduled. I found that very professional and courteous.
Russ asked pertinent questions, and offered up a couple of scenarios as to what the problem might be with our door, along with estimates of each repair solution. He fixed the door within an hour and the final cost was right were he said it would be. He even provided an extra remote to replace our very old one.
I would recommend Precision and Russ very highly.

Trent was our technician and he was great to work with. Very thorough evaluation, but not too pushy. He told me what needed to get done and did not push for more than what was needed. Completed the work in a very timely manner and was kind and professional to deal with.

I arranged an appointment for an estimate, since our garage doors were long overdue for maintenance/​servicing. Tony called the morning of the afternoon appointment to ask if he could come over early (which freed up my afternoon). He arrived promptly, assessed the situation, and gave me an itemized estimate for the servicing, explaining every part of the process. We have used Precision in the past, and been very satisfied with their services. Today’s visit just underscores that appreciation for a job well done.

And wow, made it happen! I have a wood garage door and it cracked breaking the glass and what a mess. Daniel came in a checked it out told me what he could do and what he couldn’t
Boom done, it’s up and running and I’m going to get a new motor soon, this was just the heavy door and now strong going up and down better than before. They showed up pretty quick and made it happen, in the end that’s what matters

Great experience with Precision Door Service of Simi Valley. Spoke to a live person quickly to make the appointment for the next day, given a four hour window of arrival, and was called with an even more accurate ETA that morning. Techs Mike and trainee Trevor were exactly on time, friendly and courteous. They serviced the opener quickly and thoroughly, explained what the problem was and how it was caused, reviewed their repair warranty and made certain I was happy with the service visit. Very highly recommended for any garage door service, this is the second time I’ve used them and both calls were spot on.

This is my 2^nd service call from Precision Door. The technicians are polite, personable and thoroughly explain what your repair options are and the costs. On both visits, the technician arrived within the proposed schedule, called before and arrived on time. I will continue to use Precision Door for my garage door repairs.

Best company I’ve worked with. They are prompt, quick and they never try to up sell you.

I have only had good service from them over the years. Workers call in advance to let you know they are on their way and arrive on time. Work is done per the estimate. I’m located in Van Nuys area. I noticed other reviews where service was not done on time. Results obviously vary. Prices for services rendered were reasonable. I’ve never felt ripped off like some of the other reviewers posted.

Our old garage door cracked and wouldn’t close, we were in a pinch. Initial service call was handled very well, they came right away on a late afternoon. Salesman presented options, was polite, not pushy. Scheduling was a bit frustrating. Initially, we were told we had to wait two weeks for our new door. Then two days later, we were told three weeks. After much discussion with the company, we were told the promised two weeks would work. A few days later yet another call came offering installation the next day, which we couldn’t do.
Meanwhile, our our old door became increasingly less functional and we called to say we needed something done immediately. We were told no. We persisted and eventually, we got the installation we needed.
In the end it all worked out. It did take effort and persistence on our part. Technicians who installed door were on time, polite, helpful and even swept our garage when they finished.
Overall, we were pleased.

And after an entire day’s ordeal as they showed up 1.5 hours after their promised window, and after I was late to my daughters 5:00 rehearsal, after just 5 days with the $ 2200 garage door, it isn’t working. And I have to take yet another day off of work to wait for them to show up during a 4 hour long window that they do not honor.

My mother in law has been ripped off by this company! Her garage door would not close all the way. They charged $ 355.00 to replace the rollers and it still will not close all the way. They want more money to come back out to fix it. They told her $ 355 was nothing. They ripped her off.

I have nothing but very positive things to say about this company, they were very professional through the whole process of service. I would highly recommend this company and what they have to offer to anyone and I’m a very hard person to please :) .

This review is for two service calls.
The first was in 2007 when I had a broken spring. The technician told me I needed an overhaul. So I was talked into the $ 600 service that replaced springs, cables, and rollers, because it had a lifetime warranty. The technician was Jeff and did a wonderful job. I felt a little suckered when he left after paying $ 600 for a broken spring service.
So here it is in 2015 and one of my cables is coming apart. I remember I have a lifetime warranty and I still have the receipt. I called on Monday, June 29 and spoke to a very nice lady, but I didn’t get her name. She couldn’t find my name, phone number, address, or even invoice number. She told me that the technician would have to approve the warranty work because they didn’t have my receipt on file. She also told me there would be a $ 49.00 service call if he found the parts to not be in warranty. I scheduled and Mike came out on Tuesday, June 30. He told me that it was under warranty and it was going to cost me $ 125 for the hour minimum of labor. I questioned him many times about this and he left the decision up to me. He showed me their menu of prices and what a good deal I was getting with $ 100 cables at no charge. Because of the safety issue of frayed cables and the risk he told me of my garage door falling, I chose to have him replace the cables. He replaced the cables in about 15 minutes and did a nice job. He even sprayed lube on my hinges, and springs.
When he left I felt I was suckered again so I called Precision and the call center had billing call me back later. They did and I spoke to another lady, again I didn’t get her name, and she confirmed everything Mike said about the price. I told her of my disappointment about how I was never told about any labor charge other than the $ 49 service call if the technician found I was out of warranty. She told me she would talk to her manager and get back to me Wednesday, July 1, in the morning. I never heard back from them.
I feel that the original $ 600 service was a scam and I was upsold on services that I didn’t need. I did it for the lifetime warranty which I was never told it didn’t include labor.
Their price menu is inflated to give you the impression that you are getting a good deal. Amazon has a pair of 7 foot torsion cables for $ 8.95. I can ‘t see how their cables are worth $ 100.
Their communication with customers is very deceiving. They NEVER told me about any labor charge, when I originally had the service done and bought the overhaul lifetime warranty package and when I spoke to them in the phone to make my appointment for the cables.
In the future I’m going to do some checking around before having precision back for work on any warranty work.
I’m disappointed in the way this company upsells and deceives customers into thinking they need more than what they really do.
I also feel that if they have to charge labor it should be quoted on the phone that there is a minimum of 1 hour labor and what that cost is!

Daniel was the technician that came out to replace springs on my garage door. I called at 3:30 in the afternoon with very little expectation that someone would be able to get out until the next day. Daniel called me and said he would be here in 20 min. He was on time and showed me everything that was wrong with the door.
Fixed everything in 30 min and was gone. Great service! I’m not sure what more you would expect. I would use them again.

Purchased our home over a year ago, and two weeks ago our garage door stopped working.
Called Precision Door out to take a look at it, as their sticker was on the original door, so I figured I’d start with the company that had installed our garage door years ago.
Estimator came to our home, and checked out door. He made recommendations on what was needed (a complete new garage door, new springs, new hinges, etc. etc), and I agreed to have the work done.
The technician, Luis, did a very good job. He arrived on time, worked fast, completed the work in a timely manner and left the area as clean as when he arrived.
Unfortunately, there was a major item which, upon completing the original work, I was informed was needed before my garage door would work!
I feel that if I’m given a price to replace the garage door, springs, hinges, etc. etc. and I“m told that the motor works fine, and isn’t needed, dropping a (originally quoted price) $ 600 extra on me, in order for them to complete the work, isn’t fair or right! After spending well over a thousand dollars for a new door, I was left with a choice of spending additional money, or being left with a brand new, inoperable door!
They eventually did reduce the price, but it does feel that their prices are arbitrary and fluid! Only after arguing with them did they give me a discount price, which, the technician told me, was given to customers if they purchased a new garage door (which I was!)
Bottom line, while their door, motor and remote control system are working very smoothly and quietly, double check their prices prior to starting the work, and make sure they agree that you’ll end up with an operational door when the agreed upon work is completed!

Precision was faster than I expected. Mike was my service guy. Very polite and helpful. He gave me my estimate, which was good. He did an excellent job fixing my garage door. Plus, the wheels were noisy and squeaking so he put something on them to lubricate them, now my garage is so much quieter. Also, he pointed out how the last garage door installer should have done it differently because my garage won’t fully open. So I will definitely use Precision when my motor finally breaks and it’s time for a new one.

Ever bring your car in for an oil change and have the mechanic say you need thousands of dollars of repairs, when it is running fine?
I messed up my door by releasing one of the springs. This threw the door out of alignment and brought the cables off the rollers. The result was the door wouldn’t lower. When the tech arrived he immediately started talking about all of the things that could be wrong with my door. I told him I knew what was wrong, I just wanted him to get it back to the way it was. I would have sent him away but I figured I was already paying the $ 49.99 service charge so might as well have him do the work.
He was very knowledgeable and showed me what he was doing. Of course he found all kinds of things wrong, even though it was working prior. I agreed to a few minor part replacements but not the major overhaul he was recommending — full set of new springs for $ 500.
The total charge just to reset my springs, replace the cables and one roller part was close to $ 500 (I should have just done the springs)!!! This included the $ 49.99 service charge. When I called the office to ask about this charge I was told that this cost was not waived when the work was done. I have NEVER worked with a service company that did not waive the service charge when the work was done. Had I known this I would have paid him and sent him on his way, had someone else come and just get the door working.
Overall, the work was good and professional, just be prepared to be upsold all sorts of repairs to issues with your door you never knew existed.
