Started out in Carmel and has moved from Cannery Row to it’s locations now in Downtown Monterey. Family owned and run.

Bought a belt there — the guy was really unhelpful («do you have women’s belts?» «some» — waves a hand). Found a belt — it was cute. Wore it once and it broke when taking it off. Went to return it (only in town two days) and they had closed early so I couldn’t return it.

I absolutely hate to shop for clothes. I was staying at a local hotel in Monterey and had an hour to kill… I walked into this little shop and instantly found 8 items I wanted to buy. The clothes were unusual, not what you would find in a mall — but what you would find in a high end, artsy boutique. The great thing was that the prices were not boutique prices so I ended up picking up a number of items here. The woman working at the desk was helpful but not pushy, and she even gave me some pretty pearl earrings that were on the counter for no extra charge. They were only 8 bucks, but the thought was so sweet, and I really liked them. Excellent place to find unique, well made clothes. I ended up wearing everything I bought there on my trip for the next couple of days. I’ll definitely be back.
