We stopped in for a cup of coffee and sat outside. The coffee was very good and reasonable We are always looking for a place to stop and just sit for a bit. We had our dog with and the outside tables were a plus. Refills were free.

The food here is good, but I find it a bit overpriced considering Caffe Trieste is right down the road. That may be the reason for the fact that when I’ve been in or passed by, it seems as though they are struggling to attract customers. I came in with some homework and was hoping to sit and have some food and get my work done; however, I was disappointed that there were no outlets in the restaurant and the WiFi, while free for customers, was slow to the point of not working. Had I not already set my stuff down and ordered, I probably would have just left. I wouldn’t really recommend this place to anyone I know.

Do not go here! Do not patronize this business! The owner is extremely rude and doesn’t deserve your business. He was very rude to us and we watched him be rude to the customer after us as well. There are other cafes down the street where they won’t be rude to you.

Came for the espresso based on previous review… exact opposite as described. I ordered triple espresso over ice. Apparently that means iced coffee for the American that doesn’t know how to order an espresso. Tastes good, but it’s not an espresso, it’s a 20oz glass of iced coffee.

The staff was friendly but not too observant. I had walked in and was waiting at the counter to place my order, then another lady walked in and stood right next to me. We both waited a bit longer then they ended up helping her first. I had the omelette which was average, a bit dry. Not anything that I’d be excited to order again. I had a latte, and again average. This spot is convenient but no wow factor.

Some of the best espresso I’ve had in Monterey. If you are seeking a good shot, Pino’s should be top on your list of places to visit. Very quality establishment with a friendly and easy going staff. Simply based on how excellent their espresso is, we’ve added Pino’s to our list of spots to visit while roaming around town looking for something to eat. So far, everything we’ve tried has been very good. Typically the owner is behind the counter or there working alongside staff, so that’s always a good indication. If you are visiting from Spain or Italy or such, and tired of stumbling over places that are serving you burnt, coffee flavored water, then Pino’s should help you out quite a bit and make you feel a little more at home I think. They even have an old La Pavoni lever machine on the wall for decoration and serve in Nuova Point cups! What more do you need? Maybe just a sunny day in Monterey??? Upon further inquiry with the owner, we discovered their beans are supplied fresh by one of Monterey’s best local roasting houses. A+

I have eaten at Pino’s a few times now and I love the ambiance of the café. I love the Apple and pecan Salad. Great flavor and very filling. The staff is very friendly, especially Vanessa. I’ve seen her there every time I’ve been in and her smile is always welcoming. She does a great job and keeps things running smoothly. Great place and I would definitely go back. :)

The roast beef sandwich and minestrone soup were perfect! However, the counter girl would not honor a $ 25 gift card(with receipt). So don’t forget your wallet at home!

Perfect little spot near Monterey Bay downtown. We split the omelette and had two cups of perfectly poured espresso. Service was quick and attentive and the omelet(spinach, bacon, peppers) was tasty.

EXCELLENT! Got the turkey Swiss sandwich and a cup of minestrone soup. Yum! Sandwich is quite big for $ 6.25 on really good fresh Italian bread! The gal who helped me was fab!! food came out quick, perfect for my lunch break. Will definitely be back soon!

These 5 stars are based on a single bowl of soup since that has been my only experience… But that bowl of soup was a warm breath of life on a cold, exhausting day. Seriously, try the minestrone

My husband and I stumbled upon this place when we were looking for a place to have lunch. It has a great location and just so happens the day we were there the museum next door was hosting a day of jazz bands. We had great weather, great live music, and a nice outside atmosphere. The gentleman who served us was very kind. I had a tuna melt, which was awesome. Mighty bread and great tuna, cheese and veggies. My husband had a breakfast sandwich that he said was good. Great location, easy good food, and good service.

Cute café in the plaza next to Fishermans Wharf. It was empty so the service was fast, but overall the flavors and the amount we paid for the sandwich and salad we got was just not really up to par. If you’re looking for a quick bite to eat this is the spot for you, but if you’re looking for anything more, you’re better off at another place.

We’ve walked past this café many times, but today we stopped in for lunch to see what they offer. All 3 of us had the chicken vegetable soup and it was very good! Homemade, I’m sure. We also had the Beef hot dogs and Pastrami sandwich, all was quite fine. Outside seating area was very nice. The lady who waited on us was very friendly and very helpful with the menu. Prices seem reasonable, too.

Not sure why some reviewers give this place such a rating. We were in Monterey for a diving weekend and came several days in a row and really enjoyed it!!! Great omelette, cappuccino, freshly squeezed OJ. Wonderful host. Definitely great value for the prices! A great place for breakfast.

Cute warm little location next to the Warf great to grab a quick pastry or good little sandwich. Quick easy service and across from the Portola hotel.
