This place is small but the food is great and so is the service! They are very sweet and it was a great experience!

Super delicious crepes! We were very impressed by the variety of sweet and savoury choices. One of us had the Cooked Banana and Caramel which was divine. The other had a Ham and Cheese. It was a little dry and just okay. Pretty terrible coffee, but you’re there for the crepes!

I’m so happy I picked Crepes of Brittany as my breakfast spot for the only day I spent in Monterey! I’ve never had a crêpe experience before and now I’m nervous that my next one won’t compare. Besides the food and coffee being excellent, everyone in the place including my fellow patrons were super friendly. The owner Ben gave me some excellent hiking suggestions — now I have to plan a trip back out to finish up his list of must sees!

I lived in Brittany as an exchange student. My host parents who were Breton would host crêpe parties where we would sit & visit for hours while they made the most marvelous sweet and savory crepes. My best memories in France come from these wonderful crêpe soirees. Crepes of Brittany comes very close on their quality to true French Crepes. Not as good as my French host parents, but still pretty good. Every time we come to Monterey we will come back to Crepes of Brittany. The wait is long, but I feel the wait is worth it. Do yourself a favor and get both a sweet and savory crêpe(the complete is my favorite). If you are lucky enough to get a seat outside, the view from the pier is a delight. Just watch out for bird poo. We witnessed a girl get bombed as she was just siting under the awning. I sincerely hope you don’t have the same experience.

The sweet crepes here were stellar, and the ice cream was also amazing. Highlights were the Nutella crêpe and the pineapple coconut ice cream. Yum! Great meal in the sun by the sea!

If you’re in Monterey do yourself a favor and try out Crêpe of Brittany. They’re a little tiny shop in the corner of fisherman’s wharfs. Their crepes are amazing! I’ve only been here twice, but every time I’ve been impressed. This time we had the Peach Melba with vanilla ice cream and it was delicious! Price– $ 5-$ 10 Service– excellent Wait time– 5mins after ordering our crêpe

Saw the many good reviews on Unilocal and decided to give it a try. Unfortunately my experience was not a positive one but I won’t be too harsh since they actually seemed like good guys and were friendly. It was around 3pm in the afternoon, there was a line of about 7 groups ahead of me. Took about 10 – 12 minutes before I got to the front of the line and ordered a crêpe. Not too bad if the crêpe is as good as the reviews implied. Ordered the Caramel with extra banana, ended up with Crêpe with Cooked Banana Caramel. I realized they had the wrong order when I paid for it as it was $ 1 higher. I figured, ok, no biggie. Paid the amount and went on waiting patiently as the people in front of me got their orders. After about 15 minutes of wait and the people in front of me were all served, now it was my turn. Alas! The next crêpe that they served were for the lady that was behind me. Alright, no biggie, next one is mine. Wrong! The next ones that came out were for a group that was behind the lady behind me. She ordered 3 crepes! I didn’t want to make it a big deal so I thought, alright, the next one gotta be mine. The guy actually looked at me and I think he realized he just skipped my order. He told me mine is next. Well, NOT! The next 3 crepes they served were for the group of ladies that were behind the group that was behind the lady that was behind me! They only had two pans and each time took about 4 minutes. Go figure how long I had to wait for my crêpe. If the crêpe is really awesome, I won’t be too upset. Well … it’s just ok. Not worth the wait. Probably would have been better if I had worn a skirt and some makeup to get my crêpe 30 minutes earlier.

Vist date 01/30/2016 A quick breakfast stop, when all other places are too busy. Our visit was a quick last minute thing, and we we’re glad we stopped by. We were thinking breakfast, and so decided on a couple of the Ham Eggs and Cheese crepes. Not bad. Of course almost all crepes are sweet. But this was a nice switch. It took a little while but the cooking process takes time, and I don’t mind getting my food hot. Would I eat here again, yeah. But maybe next time we’ll order one sweet and one not. As for the price… 2 breakfast crepes 2 small waters a tea and a small apple juice, seemed a little much at 24 dollars and change. I don’t know, maybe it was fair, for tourist spot anyway.

Super friendly people and amazing service. The owner got talking to us and got us a complimentary crêpe to try something different. Just love them. They are moving soon, so do keep track of them and visit them in their new location too. My wife certainly will on our next trip to Monterey.

DELICIOUS!!! 5 stars for the sweet peach crêpe with cream cheese… oh my goodness! It tasted like a little piece of heaven! Mmmm… I am deducting 1 star due to space and the savory crêpe that was slightly over cooked. Crepes de Brittney is located right on the water, has an amazingly gorgeous view and tables outside! There are only maybe 4 or 5, so if you see one open… grab it! I didn’t think we were going to be able to eat there, which was disappointing, but luckily my guy found us a spot inside. There are maybe 2 or 3 very small tables inside. It is small and cramped, but worth the deliciousness to me! If you are getting your crepes to go, this shouldn’t be an issue at all. They were surprisingly fast with the amount of people on a busy whale watchers Sunday. We ordered quickly and our food took less than 20 minutes… this was a very busy Sunday… as I mentioned it was ‘whalewatchers’ weekend. Back to the crepes… I had the sweet peach and he had the savory ham and cheese crêpe. I tasted his asndnd it was yummy, but unfortunately his crêpe was a little overdone and there was not very much cheese… but we both finished our plates! So, I think he loved it ;) I loved mine… I would have licked the plate if that was proper etiquette. ;) If you are looking for something delicious for breakfast, brunch or lunch and like crepes… you found your spot! Yummm! I almost forgot. .the service/people were extremely friendly, smiling, happy and had really good vibes! I left smiling too! Yummy vanilla latte as well! Maybe I should give them 5 stars… you just can’t have perfection every single time with the hustle and bustle and amount of food they are serving… ish just don’t see how that could be possible. Plus, I’m sure that they would have remade the ham and cheese crêpe, if we had asked. They were all so great! Back up to 5 stars lol ;)

Okay can I eat here for breakfast everyday??? I got the smoked salmon crêpe with brie and tomatoes and ohhhhhh my gosh it was the most delicious crêpe I have ever put in my mouth. The salmon was perfectly smoked and the tomatoes added juiciness. The salmon to cheese ratio was also perfect. I never wanted it to end even though it was so big I couldn’t even finish it. But don’t come here with more than 3 people in the rain. There are only 3 tables inside and they’re always filled! And the tables barely seats 3.

I lived in Paris for four months but can honestly say this was one of the best crepes I’ve ever eaten! This place right on the Pier is tiny(only 2 tables) but offers some amazingly fresh sweet & savory crepes. The roasted banana was so good I could’ve ordered two. The caramel sauce and whipped cream were clearly homemade and made the dish 5 star worthy. The Nutella and banana was also delish as well as one stuffed with Brie and topped with smoked salmon — which I don’t even normally like! The people there were also so friendly & fast. They also serve coffee and hot drinks — the Mexican hot chocolate was perfectly spiced. Would definitely go back here if I’m in the area again!

Cash Only! I had to say it! BUT! It is approximately 8 bucks for a crêpe. Friends, adds those dollar bills up and share a delicious sweet crêpe. Friendliest of staff! My friends and I shared the Peach Melba recommended by the cool cat that made all the crepes. I recommend sharing a crêpe because, trust me on this, it is big! Portions are great, peach was great, homemade carmel? What the heck? Even better. Seating? Indoor and outdoors, you pick. Just squeeze together and you can intimately share a big olé crêpe. If you are in the Monterey area, COB is a great after-dinner dessert date that can make any night sweeter.

We never leave the city of Monterey without having Crepes of Brittany, because this is the best place that the bay has to offer. It’s a tiny crêpe shop located on a waterside spot on fisherman’s wharf. Inside there is a small display of hand scooped ice creams to choose from, as well as a counter to order coffee. But most of all you come inside for their delicious crepes. Among the favorites I’ve tried, I like the Cooked Banana Caramel. Its banana, caramel, with whipped cream. Also I add vanilla ice cream on top(additional $ 1.25) to complete a crêpe masterpiece. Its wholesome goodness. You have the softness of the crêpe, the sweet/tang filling of the bananas, a touch of that candied flavor homemade caramel, along with the aromatic vanilla ice cream which was an addictive match. Just having this is bliss and fulfilling. Out of the crêpe places I’ve been to, this place is the most authentic in taste. Their crepes are made thin with soft insides You even see them make crepes on a roller grill. You have a choice of sweet crepes and savory ones. I come here mostly for the sweet ones. Take note, that Monterey is a small beach city, and there aren’t many stand alone mom & pop joints that have great desserts and have the charm like Crepes of Brittany.

Well, we saved this spot for a rainy day on our ‘to-do’ list and if you noticed this morning it was raining, indeed. We marched on over and found the idea of crepes pretty good, given the weather; I wanted something sweet and my partner wanted savory. They have a limited selection, but it all sounded pretty good. The service was really friendly and it had a very laid back summer tourist-spot feel. Ever hear the phrase, «the odds were good, but the goods were odd»? We knew we were going to get some crepes and coffee, but we were weirded out that there are separate cash-only ordering counters for crepes and drinks… and only one register all within 8ft of each other. Luckily I had some cash on me, although they were quick to point out the ATM around the corner. This, in an age of square-reader, is a little odd. Cramped quarters aside, we were able to post up and they brought our food on Dixie plates and we had to score the plastic ware by the door. While that seems fine from a sustainability standpoint, the check was just under $ 30, which I felt was high for the quality and service. We’ve paid the same price down the street for a decent sit-down breakfast… In the end, the food was ok and the destination is neat, as it is on the wharf. But, I don’t think we’ll be back anytime soon :-/

Crepes! Crepes! Crepes! I was a little skeptical since this place is so close to tourist central but wow it was fantastic. Indoor seating is limited but there are a few tables outside too. We had the apple cinnamon and Brie Carmelized onions and we’re thrilled! Heads up they only take cash.

Holy Crêpe! I’m so pleased to have found this little gem during my recent visit to Monterey. Crepes have always been a weakness of mine and after seeing all the praise for Crepes on Brittany on Unilocal,I knew I had to give it a try. This is a cute spot located in Fishermans Wharf. Then interior is charming and cozy — exactly what you expect of a little eatery along the wharf. A couple of tables inside, with also the option of al fresco dining on the few tables set up outside the entrance. I recommend the outdoor tables if you can snag one, the views along the bay are just so serene. As I entered, Terry, the owner, greeted me with a big smile and a friendly«Good Morning». We chatted for a couple of minutes about the area and my vacation until I finally ordered my crêpe. Even though we spoke only briefly I got the impression that Terry genuinely loves what he does, his restaurant, and his patrons. It’s always great meeting such passionate restaurant owners. As for my order… I got a savory crêpe with ham, pesto, mushroom, spinach, cheese, and tomato. And dang, it really was a great way to start the day. All the ingredients were super fresh and the crêpe was light, had good chew, and was just the right thickness(enough body to actually hold the filling). Compared to NYC where I’ve had far less tasty crepes for far heftier prices, breakfast here was a refreshing(and delicious) change of pace.

Came here with my family for breakfast before heading back to the bay… we had our pug with us, and this place said they were dog-friendly so went here This restaurant is located right in the beginning of the strip, adjacent to a souvenir shop and an Italian restaurant… They have four tables outside, and it is first-come first-serve… There were so many people lined up already either waiting for their food or ordering their food… luckily, just as a family was leaving, we were able to get two tables to fit 8 of us all around… This place is cash only, but there’s an ATM available just outside the restaurant if you need it… Everything looks good on the menu, but this time I around, I wanted to try something sweet but new… I usually get a banana crêpe or apple cinnamon crêpe with ice cream, but this time I tried their Peach Melba… mmm…Ice cream, peaches, and their blackberry? sauce decorates this delicious crêpe… it’s the best crêpe I’ve had thus far… It was only two people cooking the crepes, while the others were working the register… it’s kind of a wait for your food, but they’re working as fast as they can and keep a professional composure under pressure…

«Hmmmm…Peach Melba». I have been dreaming of peach melba when I first laid eyes on it in Unilocal. And with plans of going to Monterey Bay I can barely contain my excitement as we placed it in our itinerary to drop by this picturesque place and finally get a taste of this delectable dessert. So imagine my giddy expression when I came and placed my order. First, the place is small as it shares its space with a café and ice cream shop. It has nice seaside décor with a tourisy feel to it. the outside seating is a view to behold as it is facing the dock with the sail boats and the water. Just perfect if your holding a cuppa java or devouring your plate of crepes. When you order your crepes tell the lady over the counter of what you wanted and then pay over the café. We were lucky that there was an empty table right across the counter where they make and assemble their crepes. It was like watching a magic show, I was full of awe. Then I saw the lady talking about my order. the guy folded my crepes, placed it in a paper plate, then the lady assembler took a big scoop of french vanilla ice cream placed it in the middle and spooned in my fresh peaches cooking in hot syrup(drool) and then folded it more, squeezed caramel and berry syrup on top and then topped it with sliced almonds… Her parting words as I moaned(seriously, I have no shame) «I know you will enjoy this». Heaven parted and angels sang when I took that first bite…5 stars!
