Needed some help finding the perfect lipstick and a very beautiful woman named Kenna helped me. I had a lot of make up questions and she was very kind and patient. Thank you!

Got my makeup done by an amazing guy at Mac inside Macys– I wish I could remember his name. I will update if I find my receipt and his name is on there. I needed makeup done for my maternity photos the same day, told him exactly what I wanted and he NAILEDIT. Not only that, but I had my daughter with me because my husband was getting his hair cut, and he did my make up perfectly WITH a squirming toddler on my lap. I kept apologizing and he insisted that I stop apologizing and that he had all the time in the world and it didnt bother him at all. He was patient, personable and did my makeup perfectly! So thankful– will be back for sure!

I came to this MAC for a bridal trial a month before my wedding in Monterey, and Marilyn(Mary) was my makeup artist; she did a great job, this I won’t dispute. However if the artists ever offer to freelance and«come to you on location for 70.00», don’t do it! Mary told me I could either make my appointment for the day of my wedding at MAC for 50.00, or she could come to me at the hotel for 70.00(who wouldn’t want that?); I was stoked that my bridal party and I would not have to travel the day of the wedding and booked the day with Mary. Fast forward to the week of the wedding; I touched base with Mary to ensure we were still set, only to find out that she never got the time off approved from MAC, and that she would no longer be able to make our appointment. Yeah, THAT’S what a bride-to-be wants to hear four days before her wedding. She told me to call in to MAC and request her for the day of, but when I called, they were completely booked up the day of my wedding. The man who answered when I called(Jesse) offered to take her place(another freelance), and after a little bit of attitude, told me to text him the details and he would confirm back. This guy knowing I was desperate, doubled the price,(stay classy). Luckily I was able to find another makeup artist that was available and came to us at the hotel for close to the same price I was originally quoted by Mary(Spa Bella — I HIGHLY recommend them, but that’s for another review).

Ugh! What is wrong with these MAC representatives? Terse, rushed, impatient, insouciant, ill mannered, pedestrian, lumpen, indifferent, and overall bad for the MAC brand. Thank goodness Sephora is opening in a few days! No more Stanford runs. No more putting up with crappy sales staff who don’t know customer service. Perhaps their Selfies are their priority.

Unlike other experiences at MAC counters or freestanding stores I have visited, I have always received prompt, friendly, courteous service at this counter. The sales reps are willing to take the time to test colors on you and answer questions. Plus, you do not get the«I am cooler than thou,» attitude many MAC reps can possess.

OMG!!! MIKE, the makeup artist here, did my makeup today. It turned out so beautiful. I walked in just looking for concealer. He was so courteous, helpful, and also offered to do my makeup and show me some tips. And he did! My makeup looks flawless and I bought all the essentials, when in the past, I only had purchased MAC eyeshadows. I’m so excited to try my new makeup! Ask for Mike when you go in because he’s awesome at his job and courteous at the same time. It’s hard to find these days!

I have been shopping at M.A.C. since the day I learned about makeup. I have been to stores all across the country during my time in the Marines. I have to say the team in Monterey is By Far the best I have ever worked with. They are always helpful and never make you feel stupid for asking a question. If you don’t know something just ask and they will happily show you how to get the look that you want. I had pre bought a Lipstick and Liner that were limited stock, unfortunately I’m a disabled Veteran and one of my major issues is isolation. So the purchase was there for sometime. Today my friend was at Macys and I asked her to go pick it up. They did let her do so in understanding of my situation. It made my day to get my new colors. Thank you so much to David, Santana(I hope I spelled it right) and Everyone else there for making retail/makeup therapy so enjoyable. I will continue to shop here and would urge anyone else for a love of makeup to do so.

I had my makeup done by Santana here and I really like that before she started applying makeup she asked about the event, my dress, and my preferences. I told her that since I’m 31 and going to a true black tie event I didn’t want to look like I was 18 going to a rave and she delivered gorgeous results. I made an appointment about a week prior and when I got there I did have to wait about 15 extra minutes which put me a little behind but it was worth it for a beautiful result.

My first makeup trial for my wedding didn’t go so well. Color was horrible, didn’t get the look I wanted even after bringing a picture(I mean NO where close). Called to speak with Terri, made an appt with her and HOLY love of GeniUs! She did an Amazing job! I could actually picture myself the day of My Big day. I felt more Beautiful then ever.

This place came to my rescue after a HORRIBLE trial run for my makeup for my wedding. I came into them looking like an oompa-loompa with expired mascara crumbling all over my face and they saved me. I had a trial right there and then with Terri, who was a complete sweetheart. She wrote down everything she was using and really listened to me about my skin’s issues. I ended up switching ALL of my makeup over to MAC that day(and I was a devout user of Bare Minerals for many, many years). I came back for my wedding makeup as well as a couple of my bridesmaids and my mother in law. We all looked FABULOUS. I got so many compliments on my skin and how radiant I looked on my wedding day. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, MAC ladies! You saved my wedding and you introduced me to a much more natural looking every day face too. :)

Terri has resurfaced :-) Back again at M.A.C Monterey after a brief M.A.C stint in Salinas, I’m all smiles. She is the sweetest, most sincere make-up artist with many years of experience under her belt. She has worked at M.A.C. since 2000 and is coming on her twelfth year at M.A.C. Just this week alone, I’ve bought a host of my staples and newbies with Terri as my beauty guide. It’s always a pleasant experience for me coming to the Monterey M.A.C counter because all the ladies are knowledgeable, non-pushy and super sweet. They let me take me take my time perusing all the make-up and they always use sanitized make-up tools and products. I entrust all my beauty/make-up care to the salesgirls at Monterey, esp. Terri. She even remembers all my favorite products and keeps me apprised of any new collections, promotions and upcoming events.

I was turned onto MAC by a former co-worker who allowed me to use her powder foundation. I immediately fell in love the product because it felt clean and fresh on my face. She advised me to go to the«MAC counter» in Macy’s at the Del Monte Shopping Center. When there, Lydia came up to me and asked if there was anything she can show me. Long story short, I immediately started using MAC while steering away from, well I won’t say what other product, but the«pink» was shortly converted to black. EVERY single time I go see the MAC girls/boy, I’m ALWAYS treated as a valuable customer. Lydia and her crew are extremely professional, talented and very knowledgeable. I will continue to use MAC exclusively. Thank you Lydia for all the beauty tips. You and your staff are AWESOME!!!

First of all, location at Del Monte Shoppung Center is unique & beautiful. MAC girls are very knowledgable and very talented! I got my makeup done here in June by Gabbie for my grad party, turned out absolutely fabulous and using the min purchase($ 75 during summer months) I found some great everyday makeup products she recommended I invest in. Gabbie has done makeup for 7 years, she’s fast, and amazing! I recently got my makeup done for a winter wedding($ 50 min purchase) was in a complete hurry and she got me in and out, with unbelievable transformation! 5 stars… Thank you Gabbie!

I’m a huge makeup lover, well beauty lover in fact. My three passions: Makeup, photography, and food, and in that order exactly. Its really bad to do in this economy I guess, but I don’t tend to look at prices when it comes to anything in those categories. However, I am also not a fool and definitely do my research before making a large purchase. Anyway, as most know, MAC is one of the more popular high end brands. When someone mentions MAC, there’s a sense of «fru-fru» that goes with it. It’s thought of in a fancy, expensive, but definitely well worth my money kind of way, so I will not judge this review by the products, but rather the representatives of the products. Unfortunately, I was there on a lunch hour only and did not have time to look for the sales people’s names. There was only one GENTLEMAN who came over to ask me if I needed help, and I wish I could remember his name, but I don’t. I do remember that he was tall, Mexican, and pretty, but that’s it. He was the only one who offered service and at the time, I was just browsing. A little later on, I finally remembered that I went in to see if they have the MAC custom palettes and when I asked the other young sales girl, she had NOIDEA what I was talking about. She attempted to sell me the holiday plaid stuff they had, and I told her that that was not what I was talking about. Since my time was a-wasting, I told her that I had to leave and would check out the store in Salinas to see if the custom palettes. She replied, «Well, we don’t have what you’re looking for, so check another store». I’m not sure if I’m more bothered by the words or the tone that she used. I definitely will not be going back to this store.

This place is awesome. I always send my clients over to these girls! Go see Lydia or Elisa! They will help you with whatever you need, whether it be a special event or night out on the town. I also recommend checking out the events which they teach you great makeup techniques! Also they have good skincare stuff, I usually buy the face cleanser and shave cream.
