Dr. Lindly is a native Californian. He has lived and practiced on the central coast for over 26 years and enjoys hiking, mountain biking, snow skiing, and camping with his family. His wife of 26 years, Charlene, works in the office part time as a receptionist and office manager. Dr. Lindly and Charlene have two children, Matthew a senior at York School, and Courtney a freshman at Santa Catalina.

I just got work done by Dr. Lindly. He was absolutely wonderful and all of his assistants and dental techs were great, too. They were very honest with me and flexible about pricing based on my insurance coverage.
I’d seen a dentist before this that told me I needed a root canal, but Dr. Lindly looked at my x-​rays and said «No way. It’s a deep cavity, but we can fix this.» So glad I didn’t need a root canal.
The other thing that really made him stand out was this: I’ve been told by a few dentists that I need a bite guard because I clench my teeth at night. Over the counter ones were too uncomfortable to sleep in. The hygienist who cleaned my teeth at Dr. Lindly’s office saw the same issues and talked with Dr. Lindly. They decided that, because my insurance doesn’t cover the bite guard, they were going to be flexible with me in terms of pricing, and they helped me get to a price that I could afford.
He’s the only dentist in the practice. He has an oral hygienist and at least one assistant, plus a front office person or two. Every single staff member I met during my two sessions was friendly, sensitive to my needs, and just all around gentle with me. I have a little bit of a fear of dentists because of a bad extraction from when I was a kid, so these folks were so, so perfect for what I needed. There was hardly a wait time for either of my appointments. They have a beautiful waiting room but I didn’t really get to use it. Everything was sparkling clean and the chairs were super comfortable, too. I know these are little things, but they made a difference to me.

What an amazing family dentist! I had been putting off going to the dentist for almost 5 years because I knew I would have to get a lot of work done. He was helpful in making it cost effective and let me gauge the pace at which we did the work. He cares about his patients deeply on a personal level and I have been telling everyone they need to go there!

I know it’s a dentist office and who really gives five stars to them? This was the best experience I have ever had. Maurice was amazing. I never had a doctor be so outgoing to a first time patient. He gives a great deal of time to your mouth. He really cares about patients and their dental care.

I recently moved to Monterey and a friend recommended dr lindly to me. I have always hated going to the dentist but he staff here always makes me feel welcome and comfortable. Dr lindly truly cares about his patients. Not only does he give great service and care but is willing to go above and beyond for what is best. I can’t say enough good things about the way I have been treated here

I was so pleased with my cleaning! The hygienist was friendly and shared info that I found very helpful. I had to return for a filling and it was actually a pleasant experience. The doctor was gentle and I had zero pain! I’m glad to have found dr lindly!

Good ambiance of the clinic with a very nice view. Mary is wonderful! She always managed to answer all of my question. Easy to make an appointment and if you can’t make it they are willing to work with your schedule (which works for me a lot since I have a job too). Now Dr. Lindly is amazing! Very knowledgeable and taking his time to explain to his clients the procedure and what’s needed to be done. Today I am gonna get my second crown YEY!

Didn’t expect to see only 1 hygienist for a family of 4 getting their teeth cleaned which turned into me saying I can’t stay past a certain time after all who expects to spend 4 hrs getting their teeth cleaned. I was then lectured by Dr. Lindly about how much he has to pay the hygienist for the hour I can’t stay (I had to go to work)! Oh and that he doesn’t make any money on military families (like that’s my fault)! So I rescheduled my cleaning but then cancelled I won’t be going back he was very unprofessional! To top it off he wanted me to call off of work!
I am editing to respond to the comment:
I have always gone to private dentists I have never experienced a 4 hr appt. I did consider you and your time and my schedule by taking the 8 am appt slot I didn’t have to be at work until 12 and I usually arrive 15 min early to be on time! If you make no money on military patients that’s on you and it’s very unprofessional to tell me about what you do or don’t make and how much you pay your hygienist what 57 $ for the hour. I also notified you immediately when I realized time was an issue I was not disrespectful if you or your time. I Have have since found a great dentist Dr. Bayless who will more than meet my families needs. And I am still waiting on the bill from MetLife and if it shows you billed for a cleaning I will be sure to let them know you only took X-​rays and never cleaned my teeth. I will also not recommend you or your practice to anyone which I had done b/​c you came recommended to us. In fact I let our orthodontis know how horrible the experience was as well, they quickly put me in touch with a new dentist.
Like I said in the PM own what you said and deal with the fact I think your unprofessional.

So it’s not like having my fillings replaced is my idea of a great time or anything, but Dr. Lindly and Elsa made it a quick, painless, and dare I say almost enjoyable experience. They’re so empathetic and kind, and they made a point to say they weren’t in a rush so if I needed to take a breather that it was fine. They explained what was going on, and what to expect, and I’m almost looking forward to going back to get the other side done. Almost.
And Mary… Mary is a *gem.* I wish all medical front desk staff were of Mary’s caliber. She’s so on top of the admin side of the house, and explains what everything costs and how they’ll do the billing and what you should expect to pay. And the office environment is wonderful, and basically I never want to go to any other dentist.

Going to the Dentist is pretty hard for me to do and finding a good one is hard enough, but Dr. Lindly, Elsa and Mary are so great! I went in as an emergency add on due to a tooth ache and Mary fit me in between patients and scheduled me in the following morning. Elsa was so caring and always checked on me to make sure that I was doing okay, she even held my hand during the initial injection of analgesic. Dr. Lindly made sure I wasn’t going to feel pain and I was very reluctant but I hardly felt any pain at all. The dentist is the last place I’d ever want to be but this office surpasses them all! Worth the drive from Salinas to Monterey. And very nice ambiance as well! Well done guys!

Dr. Lindly has been my dentist for many years and he is an excellent dentist. He has a great staff that always has a smile and is very nice. Like everybody in these economic times I struggle sometimes. I cannot afford dental or health insurance, so it’s hard putting aside money for my dental care and sometimes I go too long for my cleanings etc. Dr. Lindly understands this hardship and does everything to make getting dental care possible. He lets me make payments on my crowns, so I do not put it off until I break a tooth. He does not try to overcharge or up-​sell you on anything, explaining that my Target mouth guard as long as it stays put in my mouth at night, will work just fine, so I did not have to get a $ 1,000 specialty mouth guard. He has a very nice office that overlooks Lake El Estero. It is super clean. He has up-​to-​date magazines in the waiting room with complimentary bottled water, although I never have to wait more than 5 minutes if at all. I highly recommend Dr. Lindly.

Dr. Lindly was my general dentist’s (Dr.Bradford Carl’s)partner for awhile. He did my fillings very well and very quickly. My dad once came into Dr. Carl’s office with a dental emergency after a business trip from Moscow and Dr. Lindly found out that he had a broken crown, and he performed a root canal very efficiently. If I ever have a dental emergency when Dr. Carl is out of town, I hope Dr. Lindly will be on call.
