I have an ancient swamp cooler, but they do everything they can to keep it working, without trying to upsell me like many HVAC firms do.
Prices are reasonable as well!

I have used this company three times on rental properties, and I have always been pleased with their work. Twice for AC they fixed the problem for a fair price. Once for a heater. I also asked for help with a water heater, and they fixed it for me for nearly free because they found the issue to be a cheap part. I have felt they are always very responsive, quick, fair, and honest. They do very good work. It has been years since I used them the first time, and no issues with their work.

I called this company because they were one of the few heating & air conditioning businesses near me listed on Unilocal that «claimed» to install evaporative coolers and who had a pretty good rating. I was clear with what I was in the market for when I booked the appointment for an in home estimate. Note: normal humidity in the summer here is about 20−30%. That being the case, evaporative coolers are usually (but not always) an effective, yet economical cooling option in this area. However, on occasions when it is too humid, I have a perfectly good working central A/​C unit. It’s just that it’s a bit expensive to run all the time. When making my appointment I was told «Warren» would be at my home between 10 – 12 in the morning. At about 12, when Warren still hadn’t shown up, I called to verify they were still coming. I was told, yes, he’s still on his way and he’ll meet with me soon. Okay, no big deal, I figured. I know summer is the busiest time for A/​C guys. So I’m cool with cutting people some slack. When Warren and his partner showed up, about 45 minutes late, looking dirty and like they’d just rolled out of bed, I was a little put off. Still, I figured, so what, maybe they just got done with a dirty job or something (again cutting them some slack). At any rate, Warren and his partner immediately started in with the bait and switch routine and a hard sell for me getting an entirely new system. Warren said, «You know an evaporative cooler won’t work on a day like today.» I was like, «Oh really? And why’s that? He said, «It’s too humid.» Mind you, it was 100 degrees and humidity was 20% that day. I’ve lived in other homes in the area that had coolers and they worked just fine. Then he went on with «I can show you a new air conditioner and forced air unit that is much more economical than what you have now.» His partner then added «the unit you have now is a piece of shit and you’re taking it in the ass with operating expenses (wow, charming, I thought) and it’s not cooling good enough.» Now, I deal with people from all walks of life, in my profession but despite this, I was a bit taken aback with their unprofessional attitude. And the bait and switch technique? Come on Warren, is this how you guys drum up business? I reminded Warren, I wasn’t about to spend $ 8 grand or more on a new A/​C unit and furnace, and that the whole reason I’d called him was for giving me an estimate on an evaporative cooler unit with installation. After his partner walked around my house and spent about 10 minutes alone in my backyard (doing what I don’t know), he then left for their vehicle without saying anything. Meanwhile Warren and I haggled for a few more minutes more (actually he haggled). At which point I told Warren. «Listen man, I just want an estimate for an evaporative cooler and installation, nothing more.» Warren said «Ok» then went out to his truck where I assume his partner was waiting. About 10 minutes later Warren came back inside my home again to talk to me and said «here’s some info on A/​C units and furnaces you should consider getting. Oh and here’s a brochure too about Evap. Coolers. But I can’t give you an estimate on that today. I’ll have to get back to you with that information tomorrow…» Wait, wasn’t that why I had him come to the home in the first place? And guess what? Tomorrow came and went and I still haven’t heard from them since. No estimate, no phone calls, nothing. I hate to bad mouth small business men but Graham Air and Heating is a joke. If their work is anything like their professionalism and the type of integrity they exibit, I wouldn’t chance it. As for the 2 customers that gave the 5 star ratings, I can only asume they must be either from friends or family.

My AC was on full blast all last summer and it still wouldn’t keep this place cool. Finally I did something about it. Warren was my service tech and he was great. Very cool, very personable. He treated my home with respect even though he had to come in and out a number of times between my upstairs pad and the downstairs basement where the AC unit is.
At the end of the day, he got me hooked up. Some of the ducts were crushed by other repairmen working in the basement and he replaced them, fixing the air flow problem. Now my AC is summer-​ready again!
Great service, great pricing… friendly, clean, on-​time, and down-​to-​earth. I’ve recommended them to three of my other friends so far. Two have used him already and both had great service as well. Give ‘em a shot!
