The Home Depot

I came to this Home Depot to return items I ordered through the Home Depot Web site. The lady on the counter could not figure out how to return my items and they made me wait for 20 minutes. It appears they do not know how to handle returns and they need more training in addition to customer service.
Home depot management please train your staff in politeness and return policies.

Wow. What can I say? I’ll never go to this Home Depot again. Not only is it understocked on general items, the staff is well, I don’t know-​distracted, slightly dim, I have no idea. They sure don’t want to assist! So, today, after searching this ill-​thought out store, we selected all of the items we needed for a small repair, and found a ceiling fan and over hood we thought would be perfect. We finally found a check-​out, the cashier is busy doing something with her change-​for nearly 5 minutes, then she turns around and says, oh the computers are down, cash only! Forget it Home Depot. Lowe’s has the same stuff, and the same prices-I’m done with Home Depot.

No matter how much you spend, if you pay with cash and need to return it without a receipt you are SOL… They will pretend to attempt to try

I actually am looking for work, I am not hired by Home Depot as of now. With that being said everyone was friendly at the store saying hello. I did in fact purchase a 16 oz Red Bull which tasted great as usual. Purchasing said Red Bull was easy and uneventful at the self service check out.

This place gives Home Depot a bad name. When a business says they close at 9 PM but shut the doors at 8:53 there will always be an issue. If you claim that your business stays open until 9 PM do not close your doors seven minutes earlier and tell customers they cannot come in to buy a small item. I am a pro member at the Home Depot but it seems that doesn’t even matter. DO NOT GO HERE. THIS PLACE SUCKS.

We shop here frequently every Halloween we buy the huge decorations an this past year purchased new washer an dryer, fridge, an patio set (now have our eye on a t. v online). Plus other small things throughout the year. Usually when we come we are always greeted an helped pretty good customer service. Also the past 4 or 5 years we have got out xmas tree here. This year we came to get our tree on Monday night. My kids have a cold but we still made it around 530pm we waited in the cold for approx 30 + minutes to be helped (not the workers fault!!) But home depot only had 1 employee doing the tree lot he helped everyone (in order) an had a smile on his face I believe his name was Nick. Not only was he cutting ties off the tree to show the customer the tree but he also had to take tree to front an re tie it an ring up the customer an load it for those whom couldn’t do it. He was very nice an had no problem doing it but to me that’s alot of work an very heavy lifting for 1 man! It was a very long wait in the cold for my kids.

DO NOT PURCHASE TOOL WARRANTIES! This company has the biggest racquet since the mob. It is almost impossible to get a repair on a tool because all the employees are intentionally kept in the dark on what the procedure is to allow a customer to use one. I purchased an air compressor with a three-​year warranty and have spent the past three weeks getting bounced around from one person to another. Taking it from one repair shop that would not repair it; to another repair shop that would not repair it. The shops were supposed to be Home Depot approved shops. Don’t purchase any warranties on tools.

Not a frequent visitor but I was very pleased with my visit today, went there to pick up packing boxes and the greater pointed me on the right direction and it was a speedy check out SPECIALLY for a Sunday, cashiers and all staff where friendly which is all I ask from my hardware store

Bad customer service from an employee by the name of Aaron. My mother asked him if he can find out a price on a specific item because the items where mixed around. My mother couldn’t see the numbers on the barcode because she had forgotten her glasses. I was walking towards them when I heard Aaron say «well the price is where you got it from»! What kind of answer is that? I told him thank you for your help Aaron as he walked away. I went over to see the manager from this store by the name Joseph. He apologized for his actions. I just hope he gives him some coaching on customer service beacuse that is no way to help a customer out.

First off, I have to start off that a good handful of employees obviously got their jobs here because they knew someone in the company… They stand out a lot (usually on their cell phones, young and dumb, and they’re rarely of any use if you ask them for assistance). But that’s not just this store, you run into these everywhere. I’m giving this store a four out of five though because an employee who IS well rounded and experienced in the field, and to top it off I received constructive criticism. I send my best regards to Willy (in Electrical/​Lighting) for KNOWING his area of responsibility and being as helpful as he can be.

Last week we went in and we were looking for bolts to make a picnic bench & there was the sweetest lady named EVIE working that aisle she was so helpful went down our list and showed us everything we needed. Not only that but she asked us what else we needed and told us the exact aisles to go down. It was pretty busy down her aisle & she still took the time to help us.

I find this location far superior to the Day Street location. Everything from parking to availability of items is much more!

its just like all the rest, but there are better stores, just not in this area.

Ok, I have mixed reviews for this store.
The bad review is that their selection sucks! But I guess that applies to ALL Home Depots. I also feel they overcharge for their installations. I purchased a toilet from them and wanted to know how much it would cost me to get it installed. They came back to me with an estimate of $ 179!!! I told them that I should have stuck with Lowes. They only charge $ 99 for their installations! The only reason I went to Home Depot was because they are about 15 minutes closer to my house and i got lazy that day. My bad! I eventually installed the toilet myself.
The positive review was that the other day I was searching for some dark bronze door knobs. I had purchased some at Lowes earlier in the day but I didn’t get enough. So I figured I would get some more at Home depot (again, closer to my house). Well, they didn’t have the same selection and what they did have was about $ 3 more! After letting the guy at Customer Service know how I felt, he quickly went to the aisle, grabbed the knobs I needed and sold them to me for the same price Lowes had even though the knobs were a step up from the ones I previously bought at Lowes.
So, while I would love nothing more than to slam Home Depot for their lack of selection, I have to admit they came through for me like a champ … this time!

My car was hit in their parking lot under a camera. When I asked if they could look at the camera to see who hit my car they told me that they would not help me.

Just your avg Home Depot here. I am guy though so I love this place. I always walk down the wood isle just for the smell of saw dust. The employees here seem to have a bit more knowledge than other Home Depots. Considering employee knowledge overall has gone down over the years

Great location though service is hit and miss but you can always swing by Farmer Boys in the way home

Better than the other one.

I like all Home Depots because I am man. This one is easy to get to, the aisles are clearly marked, self checkouts are always working, and I always receive help when I need it, which is rare because I usually know what I’m doing. Oh, and there is a Farmer Boys next door so you’re kind of set for the afternoon. There are quite a few «contractors» sitting near the street entrances so when I feel like I don’t want to do the project myself, I’ll hit em up.

This one is barely OK. Just like most THDs help is hard to find. When you do find help they either a: don’t know how to help you or b: are annoyed you are interrupting their conversation with a co-​worker.
I only come here cause Lowes is clear across town
On a positive note the Day laborers dont attack you as you pull in!
