We stopped to get gas at the Chevron and the tire had a slow leak due to a nail. Lucky for us George is with right around the corner. When I called he said swing right on in and he’d get it taken care of. 10 minutes later I was on my way to Santa Barbara! Thanks George!

My experience with George was great.
I needed an old suspension bushing pressed out of Austin Healey leaf spring. I stopped by another shop in Morgan Hill and they wouldn’t touch it. Then I was recommended to see George.
George took the part right in and within 20min had the bushing pressed out. Thanks to George our car is back on the road! Highly recommended.

Great service, someone you can trust.

Phoned up for a smog check, fitted me in within the hour. Awesome service, will use again

George is a great! He has been fixing our family cars for years. We love his work, he’s timely and very thorough. I would recommend his services to everyone. This is a place I can trust.

Do not use this guy for auto service !
Brought car in for oil pan change, where he was supposed to take out the complete oil pan and put a new one in place, brought in the part for George, and when it was ‘done’, I paid the bill and opened the trunk to find the part I had brought him so he could change it!
When I went back inside, with the part in hand, he looked surprised!
Then he said, he’d change it right away.
What kind of auto service is this?
Fraud.

1) Awful Customer Service, Poor Communication, Over-​Priced, Rude Owner With Bad Temper
2) Our car sat at his shop for week without being able to get George to give us an estimate to rebuild a damaged head
3) We were tired of getting the run-​around and still no estimate, so we told George we were going to pick up our car to take it to another shop
5) George flipped out, cursed at us, and would not let us pick up the car unless we paid him $ 400 cash for pulling off the engine head (way overpriced for only pulling off engine head!)
PLEASE, do yourself a favor and read Chuck V, Linda A, Mike B, Randy C, Jr. W., Jaime V, etc. etc. reviews. Learn from us!

Car was blasting out white smoke only 40 minutes into our road trip. George’s shop was right around the corner from us and had great reviews. They got us in right away & got us back on the road in a couple hours for a fair price. Owner is very knowledgable and friendly, as well as his sons and other workers. Definitely would recommend them… wish he was our current mechanic back at home.

These guys are awesome. Great and fast work. Very reasonably priced. I had tires replaced on my dump trailer. I brought it in and they replace tires in one hour. I ordered tires online. They received them and called me when shipment came in. They disposed of the old tires. If you need tire service I would definitely recommend. They are really nice to work with. Their customer service is top notch. They answer the phone every time. I consider this crucial in this type of business. Thank you for your work I really appreciated and will definitely recommend to my friends.

Full service mechanic shop. I showed up at noon with my work truck and a flat tire. They jumped right on it, the owner helped me. Their service was awesome and were more then fair for the replacement tire i needed and got me out and back on the road quickly. I went there because of their Unilocal reviews and plan to go back for other car repairs. Strongly recommend! Thanks guys!

Had a flat tire from a nail and the lug nut lock shattered as I tried to get the tire off the car. I had the car towed to George and he had it fixed and rotated all my tires for me in a few hours. Great service, really nice guy, I would definitely take my car back for future service.

Finally a car place you can trust! Great service, friendly and very honest and fair pricing. They know what they are doing! They kept us informed of progress and changes and completed the work exactly as promised. Called them after getting a very high estimate from dealer locations — both of our cards (Toyota and Honda) needed some work. Saved us literally hundreds and hundreds of dollars! So grateful to George and his friendly staff!
George is a great auto mechanic — we highly recommended him. Very impressed with the way George took care of us (and our cars). Felt very confident when George was finished with our cars and we won’t ever go back to Honda or Toyota services now that we found George! :)

I had the pleasure of meeting the owner operator George and let me tell you the man has a sense of humor. Most of the time I work on my own vehicle and proud of it but I took on a task that involve removing a fuel pump and I tried for hours to find the sweet spot to install but no way. I called George’s Auto Service and explain the situation and he said no worries just bring it in. Well I had it towed and in by 11:30 am and back on the road by 4pm. Great customer service and I like the way he does business. Thanks George

I was passing through on my way to Southern California when my car started to sputter and my emissions light went on. I pulled over, Unilocaled, and found George who ran diagnostics tests for a solid 30 minutes. George could tell I was a little anxious about the light since we had another 3 hours to go on the road, but he took the time to explain and reassure me that it was most likely my computer recalibrating.
Watching George say goodbye to his son, listening to him speak proudly of his 4 sons, and his wife, the love of his life — I knew George was a good man. A person whom I could trust despite my nerves with car trouble in general. He didn’t charge me for his time. For George, it was a simple random act of kindness. So I hit the road with my daughter in tow, a warm heart and a desire to pay it forward to someone else.
That was a nice thing you did George. Thanks — and know it had a ripple effect, and a great lesson learned for my teenage daughter.

George is such a knowledgable mechanic and downright great guy. A couple times I didn’t know how I was going to get my car over to him, since I had my kids with me. He drove over with his son and picked it up, then delivered it to my doorstep by days end. That’s service. He has worked on all my cars the last five years and I wouldn’t know what I would do without him. Highly recommend George’s auto. –Toby

We took our vehicle into his shop with a transmission issue that was already known to us being that the car would not go into reverse without some effort, but drove well otherwise… We left it in there for two days came back to pick it up and drove off the lot with the vehicle only able to go into low gear. this after paying him to tell us something we already new…
I went back and of course he and the person that worked on it denied ever touching anything on the car.
My first sign of something too worry about is when we first went in there and he went on and on about how good and honest he is…“thou protest to much”… If they have to tell you how good and honest they are then turn and run the other way!!!
Needles to say stay away. lesson learned

Been here a few times now and the 5 star reviews are right on the money. I always wait for a bit to post just in case something happens, but it has been a few months and everything he worked on is still working great.
I randomly stopped by once on whim and he came out and took a look at my truck. He diagnosed it the same as another shop that couldn’t do the work for a couple of weeks. I couldn’t wait that long with the axle and all. He was about a bit more expensive on that one, but he insisted that he was worth it and did a great job fixing the problem. Not to mention he said I could drop it off the next day and have it by the next morning. Also, I had another problem… Stopped by and BS’ed for a minute and he took a look and set me up to drop it off again. Even my nervous lil toddler likes this guy.
Here’s the breakdown:
1. Great for drop-​ins, but obviously don’t expect it.
2. Nice guy that will hang out and chat for a bit about other options for your car.
3. Insists on American made quality parts (rare these days)
4. He or one of his guys will seemingly drop everything to get a quick eyeball on what the problem is.
5. Has no problem telling you how it is.
All around nice shop, nice people (even when ya stop by with a stupid question). I think the bad reviews are people who just have no people skills, like being a normal polite person with reasonable expectations.
I am pretty sure I will get my suspension done over there pretty soon.

Very impressed with the way George took care of me (and my car). He is very honest, and didn’t give me a run around. I felt very confident when George was finished with my car. I won’t ever go back to Honda services– I was always disappointed when getting my service done there. George takes care of you!!!

I moved to Morgan HIl in 1996, George took care of my old cars (87 Chevy Cavalier, 70 Jag Xj6) until I sold them. The only reason I am not going to George now is that the dealer is taking care of tmy cars as party of a maintenance/​warranty package. Durng the years George has taken care of my cars, I had a lot of confidence that things would get fixed. Things did not always go right, but I always knew that I could go back to George and get things made right.
My Cavalier was frequently towed into Georges on weekends, but he always got it back on the road. I have had more pleasantly obseqious service with my Mercedes at the dealership, but they were usually a huge financial rip-​off., albeit legal.
George is very practical and his prices are reasonable. Like all of us, George is just trying to make a living while managing a lot of mechanic– employees, and sometimes things go wrong. But he’s always been responsive to my very few complaints, He is also a very generous family man, and has helped out the child I wss mentoring. You can pay a lot more for service and repair to your car, and you may get the «best practice» in the way of repairs-​and pay for them, but I have great confidence that George knows what really needs to be done.

Our Tahoe had a very annoying beeping from the e-​brake. George fixed it with no appointment at an extremely reasonable price. George is a VERY nice, honest, hard working guy. Super friendly, a MH local for over 30 years and just an all-​around nice guy. I give this place a ten!
