Not an honest shop, and they don’t stand behind their work. I would not recommend coming here.
James, the counter man is very stubborn, and will try to sell you on every thing… He convinced me that they can do a steering/​suspension job, and that they could do it right, even told some stories about how superior they were. Thereafter I thought they were a good candidate to perform the service.
They did end up completing their task, price wasn’t too bad, and took an appropriate amount of time. So that was pleasing. But shortly after picking up the vehicle and taking it for a short test drive, I noticed that there was an issue. They did a poor job of installing the part, as a result, the steering wheel was off 45degrees. So I went back to ask James and the mechanics about the issue. They immediately got defensive and tried to convince me that it was from another cause. I am pretty mechanically savvy, and know my stuff. The guys were BS me hard. As I started to call them out on their bs, they got very aggressive towards me, and kicked me out of the shop.
I was outraged by this unprofessional and aggressive behavior, I tried to reason with James, but he was very aggressive at that point and urged me out the door. I then left on my out will, and swore to myself that I would never go to this establishment again…
Please do t waste your time with these people!

James has a good crew working for him. My Tesla had a slow leak which made my 80 mile daily commute a little dicey. These guys are very comfortable using the tools and were able to jack the car, dismount, find the screw, repair, test, remount, balance, install and torque to factory specification all in less than 30 minutes. The only problem I had was towards the end when they were torquing the bolts when the wrench contacted the top of the enamel coated spoke and damaged the finished. My $ 30 patch ended with a $ 250 wheel refinish. Morale of the story: if you have a standard size and finish wheel that needs service, these are your guys. If you have a 21″ high offset wheel with a delicate finish, better stick with the premium service professionals that are more experienced.

James is amazing!
I called to shop around for tire service and be was very honest about the tires he found for me.
I asked him «would you put these tires in your kid’s car» and he said «I just installed them last week in my son’s car».
I felt like he really wanted me to have a good experience and he found me the perfect tires. He has been working there for 13 years and it shows.

Came in to patch a tire that had a huge bolt in the tread. The service was actually fine at the desk, waited 30 mins for them to repair it, but it was $ 30 to patch it. A little expensive in my opinion.

I went in for an alignment, having replaced the control arms and struts myself. They got me right in and were vy helpful. Initially, the alignment computer was showing my car *way* out of alignment. The mechanic, Miguel, worked the adjustments, explaining what he was doing. He got it most of the way there, but when he test drove it the steering was still pulling to one side. Investigating further, when Miguel discovered I’d dont the previous work myself, he asked if I’d tightened various bolts with the suspension under load or in the air; when I said in the air, he explained how this torqued the bushing and pulled things out of alignment. He jacked it backed up, loosened the bolts and retightened them and, voila!, straight as an arrow.
Sounds like a small thing, but the extra time and attention Miguel took made a big difference. It would have been very easy for someone less thorough, scrupulous, or knowledgeable, to have hypothesized all sorts of problems and racked up a hell of a bill.

My car is a nail/​screw magnet. It must be.
While everyone else on the road around me is happily driving to wherever, my car has this special attractive force to find every nail on the road.
Fortunately these folks take care of me. I have had tires plugged many times over the years and when the nail is in a place that they cant plug it, I get a new tire and I’m on my way. Reading some of the other comments, I have never had a problem with these guys.

Only as a last resort…
They will somehow find something wrong with your car.
Charge way way to much…

$ 30.00 for a tire patch? Are you nuts? Down the street at another place $ 18.00! That’s what a reasonable price is. I guess Good Year wanted $ 30.00 because, (I was told) the tire needed re-​balancing do to the added glue and patch. «Now let me see: tire weights an estimated 35 pounds and the patch and glue equals about ½ ounce? This guy,(George) was out to rip off anyone in need for as much as he could. Will I «ever» return to this place for anything, I DON’T THINK SO! I feel sorry for the ladies who visit this tire shop unaware of their tactics.

Steve, George, and the rest of the gang are amazing! I’ve been consistently satisfied with their service and I’ve been coming here for several years. I’ve built a relationship with them and their treatment of me and my car shows. Great service, great prices, and great mechanics! Their sincere advice has always been helpful. I had my tires replaced on my 2012 Scion XB — got a good price and they had them in stock which made me happy. I sat in the waiting room and over heard them for about 40 minutes and trust me they people are just fine. Matter of fact I had a talk with the manager about a lady who came in and expected him to match a tire price at a Costco. first of all that’s just plain rude to do to a shop keeper… she used her cell phone after they inspected and lifted her car in the air and didn’t charge her… now shes gonna run off to Costco for 6 hours. I am taking my motorhome there tomorrow and I have trust they will check the air and inspect it for me as I am their customer for life. The only reason im leaving a review is because they were honest enough to display these terrible reviews I saw today when I looked up their phone number 4 rings professional person answered… I have had Goodyears since my 1979 Dodge Magnum in high school and I tell you these tires rock, enuf said.

Stay away from this shop!!! I stopped by this morning to have a tire patched and was told by the Supervisor (Asian decent) that my tire could not be patched because of the nails location. The nail was located dead center on the traction portion of the wheel. I have an automotive repair background and could not believe this guy’s cricket sales practices. I took my tire to another tire shop and my tire was repaired with no issues. Beware!!!

This place is a joke. They are not busy but take forever to work on your car. They start on it then stop to do something else. The guy behind the counter is rude & a smartass. I asked him which three tires needed replacing he told me to look & I can figure it out for myself. Took one hour & I had to ask if they were finished yet because I had to go to work & it was sitting there finished. I’m going to try & avoid this place unless of an emergency.

If you’re looking for tires or a tire repair in Morgan Hill, keep driving a bit and go to Calderon. I waited over an hour and paid 30 for a tire repair only to end up with a flat 3 days later. When I took it back they told me there was another nail that wasn’t repairable. They didn’t even take my tire off the rim to make that statement. I left and went down to Calderon and my tire was repaired within 10 min. The people at this location are shady. Don’t waste your time no matter how convenient they may seem.

Typical mechanics shop… go in and ask them to look at something and they find 3 more things ‘you should replace.’
I went in for 2 tires and they ended up charging me $ 1200 for a whole list of things.
2 hours to replace brakes?

This is a long story but I had to share…
We brought our car here because my parents used it as a tow vehicle on an RV and left the parking break on (for 300 miles!)…destroyed the breaks. Goodyear is a tire store, not a break store, and its a LONG story as to why we ended up here so I won’t go into it except to say it was stupid on our part. ANYWAY…
They «fixed» the breaks for about $ 1000. I drove it for a few days, and one day I was driving on Tennant going across the railroad tracks and the breaks suddenly locked up… while I had the GAS on!!! This was completely bringing the car to a stop, right on the railroad tracks. I had 2 kids in the car and if we had been stuck on the tracks with a train coming… super scary and I was panicing since it was close to rush hour when the CalTrain goes by often. I kept pushing on the gas even though the car was stopped, I was about to get out and get the kids out of the back and run… but by some miracle, there was just enough juice to force the car forward about 5 feet (took about 30 seconds to get there though)…and that was enough to bring us safely off the tracks (still scary close though). Someone came by to help me get the car breaks working again or I’d have to call a tow. (it’s such a blur, but he did something in the engine/​fuse box and it released/​unlocked the break… so happy he was there!)
I drove it back to Goodyear, in tears and shaking, and told them what happened. They said it was a coincidence and didn’t know why the breaks would have locked up. I could see them huddled together in the back, talking, with confused looks on their faces. No one seemed sympathetic at all. I left and immediately took it to my regular mechanic, and he saw many mistakes they made in the repairs and fixed the breaks properly and tested and retested it to make sure they didn’t lock up again… and they never locked again after that! My mechanic was furious at the magnitude of the mistake, because that was not just leaving us «stranded» but could have been a life threatening situation.
In hindsight, I wish we would have sought legal action. at the time, just happy to not be dealing with them anymore. (its painful that they got to keep our $ 1000) Maybe they are ok for putting on tires, but in my experience they are not mechanics!

I have been here twice for tire repairs. Each time they were able to take me last minute and have my tire fixed during my lunch hour. The guys here are always respectful, friendly and helpful. They never try to rip me off. Therefore I was shocked to see what the negative reviews were saying. Whether it’s a couple, a man or a woman by themself, I’ve never seen an unhappy customer. Being a singe female, I know what it’s like to be ripped off and treated poorly by mechanics; it has never happend here. Definitely give them a try!

I needed some new tires mounted to my wheels (I supplied the tires) along with new front wheel hubs (which I supplied as well). These guys are a mile away so I thought I’d give them a shot since my normal place was too far away to meet my time issues that day.
I gave them a call, gave them the info, & they gave me a fair quote for the work so I loaded everything up & headed over. So my truck, with 200,000miles on it, has some original brake parts wearing out, the upper ball joints were getting sloppy, & the pitman arm was developing play. I knew this, can’t afford to get it taken care of yet & was wondering if they’d catch it all.
They did, they gave me the honest heads up I deserved, & after I told them those issues were on the repair list & just couldn’t be afforded today they simply finished doing the original work order.
Very nice guys, did quick thorough work, called me with updates & when completed, completed work before they said they would be done, met the quote, & they will def get to align my truck once I get the steering & ball joints taken care of.
Alignment price for my 4×4 was $ 90, tire mounting & balancing for 4−22″ tires was $ 100, & they gave me a fair quote to do the hubs. I’m kinda thrown by the bad reviews… nothing could have been better. For alignments, mounting, & balancing I think I found a new place to go.
Easy, good customer service, got in, got worked on, & got done.

Had a nail in my tire and was in a hurry. They got us in and out very quickly with a fairly priced new tire. Easy!

STAY AWAY from this Place-​NEWER owner CHARGES double on whatever services he provides… Never even let him touch my truck-​He indicated that the RIms on my truck are the cause of my suspension problems_​_​I HAD to inform him that those were STOCK 22″ wheels. Seriously Moronic…

We’ve been using this Goodyear shop for our Ford Ranger since we moved to Morgan Hill back in ’04. Since then we’ve had to have the clutch slave cylinder replaced twice (The second time was just out of warranty, wouldn’t you know…) and the water pump had to be replaced again after just three years.
And what’s even more interesting is that when my (mechanic) Dad saw some of the diagnostic issues and (to him) labor overcharges at Goodyear, he recommended that we take the truck to the dealer to get the water pump re-​replaced. Did it, and JUST got a call from the Dealership that the clutch wasn’t working properly because the line apparently hadn’t been bled correctly. That’s another $ 87 for a job that should have been done right the first time… not the third.
Only go here if you like spending your money over and over again for the same work.
