Kiddie Academy of Morgan Hill

Our two sons, 5 and 9 years old, attended Kiddie Academy for half the school year. We had to pull them because the permanent school they are going to has after school care on the property.
Our kids had a great experience while they were there for the short time. I will add a few things that stood out that is very important to me:
— How they handle our son misbehaving.
Let’s just say my son isn’t an angel. I’m not saying he’s horrible, just has a lot of energy and poor impulse control at times. The staff and management were able to handle all misbehavior issues during their stay. I did receive a few phone calls. It was only a heads up not pick up your kid call which I really appreciated. Communication couldn’t have been any better!
— Facility was clean, didn’t smell like a high school football locker room. Very important to me.
— the staff. Mary is the one who took care of my 5 year old. Loves all her kids and treats ALL of them like they are her own. I did notice teachers in other rooms and age groups. They all seemed like they enjoyed the kids and their jobs.
Sad to leave your facility but I would recommend Kiddie Academy to anyone! Thanks again for your awesome service Celeste and Mary! We will drop by to say hi sometime.

My husband and I, together with our 5-​month old son, had the opportunity to tour this daycare facility last week. Things we like about this facility:
1) Security: Their code-​driven entry and computerized check-​in right by the entrance door gave a good first impression of how secure this facility is. They have two cameras in the infant room. Viewing privileges (that is, while your child is in attendance) is $ 10/​month in addition to the tuition. Very minimal considering that it allows access for up to 5 people. This comes in handy for us since My husband and I would like to see how our child is doing throughout the day. Plus each set of grandparents would be able to watch him to because of the additional access.
2) Infant Classroom Size: The 4-​to-​1 ratio (four infants to one teacher); it allows for consistent attention for each infant and care for each is not compromised. This is very important for us in regards to our son. This is the first time we are considering daycare and knowing that our son will always have someone watching him is very comforting to us.
3) Warm and friendly staff: We were greeted by their friendly staff cook. Then we went on to meet with Ms Nikia who was gracious and accommodating to give us a comprehensive tour of the whole facility. The tour was during daycare hours so we were able to see the interactions of the teachers with their students in each class.
4) The accolades: Assurance for us that they’ve proven themselves of their credibility as a business and as a learning center.
5) The waitlist: Yes, because it gives us the impression that they are really that good that other parents are competing for a spot for their child/​children to get great care.

I absolutely love the Kiddie Academy. With regard to any previous incidents that other reviewers mention, my philosophy about it is who cares? The place is likely better because of it. I’d feel more uneasy about a childcare center that has been flying under the radar for years and believes they are invincible. My two kids, ages 2 and 4, absolutely love it as well.
They get so excited in the mornings when they see the familiar faces of the wonderful staff, and ask about them when they don’t. My kids have been in the toddler, 2, 3, and 4 classes – due to age changes in the past six months or so, and I cannot say enough about how warm and inviting the teachers always were in the toddler class, for sure, and how awesome Ms Maria was in the early mornings with my son. All the attending kids seem to be very content. I think everyone employed there knows my kids’ names and vice versa, and they all appear to have a passion for what they do, or at least a talent for it. When Ms Bertha was in the 3 class, my daughter mentioned her daily,…Ms Bertha this, Ms Bertha that… she went on and on – in a good way!
The teachers have been very honest with me and the communication is good. You can meet with the teachers frequently and see how your child is progressing, as well as the areas in which your child may need some additional nurturing.
The kids go outside at least twice a day I believe, eat good food, take great naps, make endless amount of artwork to bring home, learn lots, and sing new songs, etc. It seems non stop but the kids also have plenty of free time to play and use their imaginations.
The Director, Kami Pacheco is awesome. Its obvious that she cares for the kids and gets joy from seeing them happy, healthy and prospering. She also seems to be good at keeping her staff happy, because they stay and have smiles on their faces.

I’d recommend Kiddie Academy to anyone looking for childcare or Preschool for their child (ren). My daughter has been attending KA for 18 months and I continue to see her academic and social skills soar.

My son attended Kiddie Academy for over 7 months. I was thrilled for him to start after reading the reviews, taking a tour, and hearing all they had to offer, but was extremely disappointed in the end.
My son thrived in class 3 with Ms. Geneva and Ms. Bertha. The structure was great for him, and he began talking (he has a small speech development issue) and learning new things very quickly.
Once he moved in to his pre-​k class, with Ms Stacy things went downhill very quickly. Within a few days, my son went from a «good kid who was making huge improvements» to a child who was problematic, labeled as a bad kid, by other children in his class (according to his teacher), and was someone who was «targeting» other kids. To hear that a 3 year old was targeting other children was absolutely ridiculous, and couldn’t be more unprofessional. I finally had enough and pulled him out immediately, when I was watching the video and saw that he was sitting by himself, away from the rest of the class, for 30 minutes to over an hour, several times a week, for not behaving. I am all for timeouts when needed, but when they last longer than 3 – 5 minutes in preschool, I find it to be abusive. When asked why this was the first time we were hearing about these issues, and why he didn’t have these issues in his previous class, I could not get an answer. Instead this particular teacher was quick to label him as a hyperactive kid who needed help, and pushed him aside so she didn’t have to deal with him. Stay away from this school, if you want the very best for your child. This place is far from it and does not want to make an effort if your child needs a little extra help.

Originally this reviewer gave us 4 stars which was fair for the brief amount of time she spent on a tour. We received the shipment of free bags the day after she was here, so I would have been happy to give her a bag the next day. This reviewer changed her review to one star after she heard about an isolated incident on the news, which was handled immediately and does not reflect the policies and philosophy of our school. Other than this review, we have only received 5 stars from existing families who have enrolled and know our school and staff very well.

Yes originally I gave more stars before I found out that security and obviously clear lack of character judgement was revealed by this incident.
I thought it was great how they had fingerprinting and cameras, however that did not stop the person who was giving the kids drugs. Heightened security doesn’t matter when the devils are INSIDE the walls if you know what I mean. My first review I was trying to be objective to this place but if you read it, you will see that I got a weird vibe from the kids there they were quiet and looked sluggish. I did not want to assume or say anything obviously because I was thinking of sending my child here and owners read these reviews.
I’m sure families who came there before they knew about the drugging gave them 5 stars, sure. But now that they know, I’m thinking they would probably change that. I really hope there are more steps to ensure that kids are safe here, and really at all facilities. It’s sad and unnecessary for that to have happened, and makes me not too confident about these Unilocal reviews for this place. High reviews yet this happens…

Love the staff! They are always friendly and personable. Every teacher walks by my little guy in the hall and calls him by name. It’s a very nice atmosphere.
My son had Miss Geneva his first year in the 3 year old class and Miss Stacy now for the four year old class.
He has never said anything but positive things about both teachers. Interestingly enough the only feedback I hear from him that is relatively negative is when he tells me when the other kids aren’t cooperative in class.
He started out 3 days a week, Coincidently in the last two weeks, he has requested to start 5 days a week now. Apparently Miss Stacy is doing something right :)
I have to mention that Miss Mary, not only is super friendly but makes the most amazing cupcakes and I actually had her bake for my sister’s recent baby shower. Cutest presentation! Love Love Love!
When he has so much as a tiny scratch on his cheek or scuffed knee from the playground, there is always a form filled out by teacher reporting the incident, what happened, if another child was involved, how it was resolved «hugs and and ice pack» lol and the lesson that came with the «incident» «We should always make sure that we take turns and pay attention if there are others around us.»
Miss Ang, Miss Janelle, Miss Jenny, Mr Zack are often mentioned on the drive home. I just love that I can drop him off and not worry.
The hours are amazing, if necessary 6:30 to 6:30…early meeting/​late meeting, you never know how crazy work can be,
I will mention that my son was enrolled when a teacher (that he had never had) was fired and then later arrested for a sleeping pill incident.
The only reason I’m bringing this up is because I feel that is isn’t relevant to the reputation of the school… you can’t control crazies. It has been mentioned in another Review. It’s actually what made me think to write a review…
Who goes on a tour of a school, loves it, and then changes a review based on hearing something on the news???
Can you imagine the moment the news comes on…“well, I better go update my Unilocal review about a school that my child never attended. It is super important on my to do list for the day.“
Of course, I’d likely feel more angry if he had ever had that teacher. In fact, I’d probably want to go after her myself. Let’s call it a maternal instinct instead of violent.
I’ll just say this (if you can’t tell from my lengthy review) The quality of the teachers is excellent. The school’s staff provides a loving and nurturing environment to our children. I’m forever grateful to the people who are there since I can’t be 100% of the time.

My mother ran her own daycare for over 25 years and has watched all 4 of my children. However, when she became ill and had to retire my littlest one was only 7 and needed after school care. I was very skeptical and extremely picky when I started interviewing daycare centers. Most had too many kids that looked neglected, facilities were dirty, equipment was old and breaking down, and they had a high turn over rate of workers. The others didn’t bother to return my multiple calls for information. Then I called Kiddie Academy in Morgan Hill, Kami returned my call in a very timely manner, answered all my questions. She was professional, knowledgeable, genuinely warm, and very patient with me! The facility itself is very clean and well organized. The kids are all smiling and happy and so it the staff! They have a so many fun activities for the kids to do in the Summer. The communication from the staff and use of social media is awesome. My daughter has a great time and I am so relieved to know that my daughter is safe, well taken care of, and having a blast! A big concern of mine was that my daughter is lactose intolerant, however since they have an established staff everyone knows my daughter and her dietary needs. I am so glad I found this place. Thank you everyone at Morgan Hill Kiddie Academy for taking such good care of my precious daughter and giving me peace of mind while I am at work!

This review is WAY overdo. I have two daughters who go to Kiddie Academy. My oldest has been at Kiddie Academy since she was 4 months old and she just recently turned 5. My younger daughter is 3 and has been going to Kiddie Academy since she was 3 months old. My journey began when we started touring childcare facilities for infant care. As a nervous parent of an infant I struggled with having to go back to work and leave my baby with someone else. I checked out EVERY childcare facility in town and nobody else compared to Kiddie Academy or came close for that matter. Kiddie Academy far exceeded my expectations with the SUPERIOR child safety, facility and classroom cleanliness, nurturing Staff, structured curriculum, optional webcam service and the healthy food and snack choices. I can truly and whole heartedly say that all of the classrooms have loving, nurturing, compassionate, fun, active, caring teachers who keep the parents informed and updated on progress of their children. Kami the Director is always smiling, sweet, and giving updates also. My older daughter started Kindergarten a week ago and her teacher within a few days said that she is at a 1^st grade level and that she would move her up if she wasn’t so small. I can thank Kiddie Academy for the structured classrooms and learning they have provided to her. Kiddie Acadmey treats your child like family. It’s a good feeling when your children are excited to go to daycare and happy to see the smiling teachers. I highly recommend this daycare.

My daughter has been coming to Kiddie Academy since she was a year old and is getting ready to graduate to kindergarten. From the first time I dropped her off until now, she absolutely loves it here. She is very prepared for kindergerten, knows how to write her name, all her primary colors, counts to 20 just to name a few.
Kami the director is awesome. There was a time when I thought I might lose my assistance with childcare and I would have to pull my daughter out and they were more than willing to help me in any way possible to keep my child there. I would refer Kiddie Academy to any friend or family member to entrust them with their precious little ones.

Kiddie Academy is Amazing! My son is always looking forward to getting up in the morning and going to school. The teachers are fun, warm and loving. There are always sounds of laughter and joy and colorful art displays as you walk the hall. Not only are the children academically and socially prepared for kindergarten, but they are given the opportunity to live, love, and learn with children of all abilities– as it should be! They are like a big family and you feel the genuine warmth and compassion from all the staff. It’s a wonderful place for fun and learning!

This place is amazing with children. My 2 Grandsons began going here a few weeks ago and they love it. From the Teachers to Kami the administrator I couldn’t feel more at ease when taking them here. Both boys look foward to going and I even get to peek in once in awhile and watch them having fun on the web cam. The class rooms are spacious with plenty of things for the kids to do and the outside playground is even larger with lots of toys to play with. I am glad I found this place and highly recommend it to others that are looking for a safe and loving place to leave your kids or grandkids…

My name is Jennifer and i have two kids that attend Kiddie Acacdemy. Everday when i pick them up i ask them how there day was, they always come back at me with positive words. They enjoy the kids that are in each class. I mostly spend time in the toddler and infant room, it is always clean and organized the teachers are very friendly and really do care about your children. Kiddie academy is a place i can trust to leave my kids, it is a safe and secure place that i dont hesitate to leave my kids. There is a online site that you can go to and watch your kids if you are worried at all through out the day. I definitly Reccomend this academy for any age they are available for all ages. There is plently of space for each child to play! having second thoughts go take a look. You’ll love it!

Kiddie Academy is amazing! My daughter goes to Kiddie Academy in Morgan Hill for their after-​school program. She absolutely loves it. When I arrive to pick her up she always wants to stay longer! The staff is fantastic-​very loving and nurturing. The facility is beautiful… spacious and most importantly (for me) clean! I cannot say enough about the quality of care my daughter receives each day. I know quite a few people with their kids at Kiddie Academy ranging in ages and i have yet to hear a complaint! Do yourself a favor and check them out!
