Once Upon a Pony & Petting Zoo

Super happy! My kids and guests had a blast… wish I could’ve spent more time with the animals but I was running around hosting. They did fabulous

I hired Teresa’s service for my daughter’s birthday to be celebrated at her preschool. The pricing was reasonable and she arrived earlier to setup. She brought all sorts of animals: different types of chickens, a little goat, tortoise, guinea pigs and bunnies; they were all very well cared for.
The kids LOVED it! Teresa prepared an enclosure and since there were about 15 kids, groups of about 4 or 5 kids took turns going in to play with the animals.
After the party she even cleaned up after the animals!

Teresa and her daughter made my daughter’s third birthday unforgettable and so special! We will be talking about this party for years to come.
I researched many different pony companies and in the end booked hers. The 5 star Unilocal reviews definitely help give me added confidence and assurance that she would 1) arrive, 2) arrive on time and 3) have great customer service. All these things are important when not wanting to disappoint your little guests, especially after reading the other reviews of other companies. Of course I could have gone with a more cost effective company and get two ponies for less than the one pony for an hour… but like the previous posters, it was worth every penny. Teresa and her daughter were so professional. They made sure we got all the pictures we needed and suggested them. When you’re hosting a party sometimes you don’t think of all the pictures you should take with the pony. And, i asked for the pony to be dressed in pink and purple, to go along with the theme. The pony, Blue, was so beautiful and with the costume, was right out of a fairy tale. I still can’t get over how adorable he was! And he didn’t look gaudy, just adorable. They even had a little sticker with the number 3 on the pony to give it that personalized touch.
The pony was a hit at the party and all the kids loved him! We had about 20 kids and everyone had a turn and some had two turns that wanted it.
I would highly recommend her and her company!

Teresa and her pony was so wonderful! Her pony was a HIT at my daughter birthday party! We had 18 kids and all the kids get to ride multiple times in our back yard! They just can’t stop talking about it. Our theme is «my little pony» and Teresa dressed her pony up last minute as rainbow dash! Thank you, Teresa for making her birthday so memorable.

My daughter had a petting zoo at our house today. The animals were unbelievably gentle with the kids and Teresa did a great job of cleaning up after the animals so there wasn’t even a tiny bit of droppings left on my grass. I really appreciated how professional she and her daughter were and how sweet their chickens, bunnies, guinea pigs, and goat were. I would book them again and again! The kids had a blast and it was really sweet!

If you are planning a party with a petting zoo. Once upon a Pony is the only way to go. Absolute professionals. Starting with the initial contact. I booked like 2 or 3 weeks in advance. I called to see if the date and time were even available and it was. I wanted two hours but she was only available for one. I couldn’t change the date of the party and all the other times were booked. So I took it. Not reluctantly but gladly took it. This is why I took it. My wife leaves me in charge of Research and Development in our house. I researched the hell out of all the petting zoo/​pony ride party services in the Bay Area. I went to their websites and they all seemed about the same. So I came to Unilocal where you can’t make everybody happy and if you read enough reviews you can judge for yourself at what to expect on the high end and the low end. So when Teresa couldn’t stay for the amount time I requested my mind started turnin thinking of ways we can still both come out on top and I got quiet. This is just on the phone mind you. Teresa gave it a few seconds and said here let me give you a number to this other company. Of whom I will not mention. I said nope I will take the hour with you it’s fine I will not use anybody else. We set the date and I got the details of what to expect and… fast fwd to the day of the party. Teresa and her daughter showed up on time provided the animals with a very tidy set up. They were great with the kids and everything very went well. Once upon pony’s Unilocal reviews were noticed at the first contact. The Unilocal reviews were confirmed while they were at our party. This truly was a Five Star experience. Don’t take my word for it. Unilocal some of the other companies that do this before you make a decision. And believe me when you read those reviews or nightmares I should say. You will see why Once upon a pony stands alone. After the party I thanked Teresa and mentioned to her why I would only use her. She said her daughter made the Unilocal account and she’s never seen the reviews. It’s too bad cuz you don’t find many places with Five Star reviews. Btw my daughter was turning ten but we had children there as young as two and everybody had a great time. Special shot out to Mary the goat. Love ya girl.

We used once upon a pony Friday night for our daughters 4^th bday party. Teresa showed up right on time with shorty the pony. Teresa and the pony were the sweetest and was an absolute hit with all the kids as well as all the parents watching. Will be using this company again and highly, highly recommend!!!

I was extremely pleased with my experience with Once Upon a Pony. Teresa was extremely friendly and professional since our first phone call. She didn’t require payment up front, and arrived on time to our son’s first party. The party was a success and all the kids (25+) were able to ride the ponies more than once. Each child was even given time for video and pictures. I would highly recommend Teresa and her beautiful ponies to anyone I know. Both staff were friendly, patient and professional! Loved them!

Once Upon a Pony made it to my granddaughter’s 3^rd birthday party and oh what a day we had.
Blue the pony and his petting zoo buddies were once again the highlight of Tiffany’s 3^rd birthday party. Blue was nicely dressed in braids, ribbons, bows, and the #3 sticker on his rump. he is a most gently pony. Some of the children too young or afraid to ride Blue last year were 1^st in line to ride Blue this year.
The petting zoo had bunnies, chickens of all colors and feather types, guinea pigs, a goat, a turtle in a pen so the children could look at the animals from the outside, or they could go in the pens to pet and chat with animals.
Now Tiffany is on the «A» list of toddler parties to attend. As long as Tiffany still wants a pony party and this wonderful Once Upon a Pony is around we will celebrate each year in similar fashion.

Sunday was our daughter’s 4^th birthday.
Teresa came ontime, did an amazing petting zoo setup, brought Blue for pony rides. Everything was done great, children at birthday party had a great time. Teresa took each kid for a ride around for about 1.5 hours.

We had the pony «Shorty» for my daughter’s birthday party. Showed up on time and gave rides to all the kids. Very professional and the kids loved it.

We hired them for our grandbabys 3 birthday and they were great! Sweet, caring, animals in great care and very sweet with the kids! Will hire again!

We could not be happier with once upon a pony. We hired them for our son’s birthday, and it was definitely the hit of the party. Teresa was very accommodating and did such a great job with the kids. Everyone loved the animals — especially the pony! I would absolutely use them again and would highly recommend them.

We hired them for my twins first birthday and it was a blast. My daughter probably went on 8 rides! She loved that pony. The petting zoo was perfect. The animals were so good with the little kids and babies. Definitely will use them again! Thanks again

I hired Once Upon a Pony last summer for my daughter’s 5^th birthday. The pony and animals they brought were wonderful. I told them that my younger daughter was afraid of chickens and they brought baby bunnies instead. I felt that it was money well spent and the kids had a great great time! They even brought a goat. It was wonderful. Thanks Teresa!

Don’t be afraid to hire them for just the petting zoo.
My son was turning 2 when we hired Teresa. He loves animals but I felt he was too young for a pony. Just tell Teresa your requirements and she’ll work with you.
Teresa and her daughter did a great job with all the kids and all the kids, aged 2 to 10, loved all the various animals she brought with her.
I was too busy to stop and chat but it looked like she had brought quite a selection. Teresa came early and stayed late.
I’m sure we’ll call Teresa again, this time for a pony party, within the next year or two.

Ponies are great, the people suck! Just wanted to take a picture of my child on his pony ride. Was told to move to another location to take a picture, by the time everyone moved out of the way I missed my chance to take his picture. Asked the owner, if I could try again to take a picture was told need to pay for another pony ride. Finally, after she called me a «pissed-​off» customer, she agreed to let my son sit on the pony again, but then stood in the picture. Ruined the picture and our day.

I hired Once Upon a Pony for my boys’ first birthday party. We had Blue the Pony and the petting zoo. It was a HUGE hit! The animals were sweet, clean, and entertaining. Theresa and her daughter did a fantastic job all the way around. On time, friendly, returned all phone calls and answered every question. I tend to be hard to please, so it is my pleasure to highly recommend Once Upon a Pony :-).

We hired this delightful company for my son’s 3^rd birthday. Theresa is very professional & prompt with phone calls & email. They don’t hassle you with a deposit, cancellation fee etc. Arrived early, beautiful pony, surprise bunnies, kids had a blast. My son went on about 10 rides around our cul-​de-​sac. We had 15 kids and everyone had a grand time in the one hour that Shorty, the beautiful pony was with us.
