They are shitty bakers. Never again for a cake. We went to get my babys paw patrol cake they charged us extra for decorations and i provided the toys, $ 100 for a full sheet. When I sent my brother for the cake, it was nothing of what we asked for, the color paw prints it was supposed to have werent there, the name was spaced out, the main logo was crap and on top of that they didnt even set up the toys on there. Well all we wanted was the money back for decoration and they are charging us $ 10 just because we didnt have a actual picture of the cake in hand and we sent the pictures to their phones. NEVERAGAIN. We will see eachother in small claimd because yhey cant be doing this to people… And to top it off the cake was super DRY!!!

I was surprised when I first came here. It is very plain and not fancy. But the most important is the selection is large and the bakery is very good. I was never exposed to Mexican pastry much before I moved here but found out I like it a lot. Also their prices are a fraction of the brand named stores. They are also fast, I have never waited more than 3 – 4 minutes to get waited on.

They don’t take credit card. The great business model to turn away 60% of your customers so that you can save 2% processing fees. Get a grip. No one does cash anymore. Nowadays credit card acceptance is part of any business. I think their prices is about same as Ortega down the street.

*Tee hee hee* pink elephants. What started as an inside joke betwen my friends and I, became a trip out to a bakery in Morgan Hill. We were obsessed with the name«Pink Elephant» because of our joke. So while we were in Morgan Hill and waiting for our friend, we decided to make a stop. This is your typical Mexican panaderia with all the goodies that come with it. Yummy cookies, pastries, and fresh breads – its a diabetics dream(or nightmare) come true. It took us a while to decide on our picks, but Hubs and I ended up buying 5 pineapple pastries(two for us and 3 for our friend and his fam). There were just so many options that it was hard to pick just one treat. We ate them right away– they were still warm and had the perfect amount of sweetness. The price was right too– less than $ 4 for the 5 pastries. Now why 3 stars? Because the lady was soooooooooo rude. I swear its like she was mad at us for entering her shop that Sunday morning or something. I know she was working on something in the back, but we weren’t being needy or seeking attention or anything. We told her right away that we were going to peruse for a few minutes before deciding what we wanted. She just stood there tapping her foot, and we felt really rushed. I also asked her to bag two of the pastries separately(so that we could give my friend’s family the other 3 pastries without having to finish our pastries right away) and she still put them all in the same bag. Anyway, its still worth 3 stars for the yummy pastries and cheap prices. #Yelp100Challenge

Pan dulce! That’s it! Two words that will change your what you think you know about Mexican baked goods for just a tiny fraction of whats in your pocket(sans the lint of course lol) I truly love this place and its a MUST stop in place when I’m in Mo Hill.

Spent about $ 5 on a heart shape pastries, 2 pieces of a cake, coconut and like cornbread or something. The pastry was ok, kinda of stale. Not sure if that is how they are made. The cake, my husband ate later, it was so gross! He took one bite and spit it out right away! Dry & old! Not a place I would ever go to again.

I visited this bakery today and was not disappointed, I had an apple turnover with the sugar that sparkles sprinkled all over. Yum! The prices are very decent and you get a lot bang for your buck! They always have fresh pan dulce and there are NEVER any flies trapped in the glass display cases like in some Mexican markets… yuck! Great place to go when you are on a budget and have a sweet tooth!

We were on our way back home from a weekend trip to Monterey and I was in the mood for some really good pastries. After reading reviews of other Unilocalers for this bakery, I decided to stop by to try them out. Ugh, I was so utterly disappointed! Granted, I had higher expectations because of the other reviews. Yes, they have a huge selection of Mexican style pastries and sweet breads, but most of it(if not all of it) contain very cheap ingredients. Their pastry cream tasted so artificial. The whipped cream on their tres leches cake tasted like it was made from powder. We walked out of the bakery with a bag full of sweets for $ 6, but I only semi-enjoyed one thing — their apple turnovers. Overall, their products are about the pastry quality level of Food Maxx. I would definitely save my $ 6 next time.

I go here once and a while to try something new or yummy. As a white girl who knows nothing, it’s been very hit and miss. A lot of their things taste like going rancid lard, ewww, seems like it wouldn’t as they make things fresh but… And when I go, things are NEVER the same price! I can go in and get the SAME2 cookies that I got the week before from somebody else and be charged up to a dollar more! I don’t like the empanadas or maranitos, maybe because I was spoiled from the MH Bakery(now out of business). I personally like the Pink Elephant in Gilroy better, consistent prices at least. But this one suffices when my daughter and I want a sticky sweet treat.

If your into mexican pastries and bread in the morning this is the only place to go in morgan hill. Everything is cooked daily and the strawberry shortcake type bread they got is off the hook! My coworker gets a big spread from here maybe once a month to bring to work and it’s always fresh as all hell. Of course the Pan Dulce is the highlight here and everything is priced well. You can get a big bag of goodies here for less than 5 or 6 bucks. Check it out if you get a chance.

Pan Dulce YUM On occasion I like to get donuts for work in the morning. I decided to change it up and buy some mexican cookies and pastries. Everyone loved them. And the cookies are only like .30 cents or something, ok maybe .50…I don’t recall exactly but it was pretty cheap. Cheaper than donuts! They also sell tortillas & make cakes. I recomend the hot chocolate if you get a chance.

The Pink Elephant Bakery is located in downtown Morgan Hill and has been in this location for over 15 years. The bakery offers Mexican cookies and pastries as well as juices, water and milk. The empanadas only come in pumpkin and apple but they also offer a lot more variety than other bakeries. The staff at the pink elephant is very friendly, if you ask them to recommend something they will immediately try to figure out what your tastes and needs are. This location is very convenient and parking is plentiful since it is located in a huge shopping center. Pros: Wide selection of pastries
