Great guys work here.

I will never set foot in this store again. This store sold my son an opened game listed as «new» and when he tried to exchange it for store credit, they offered him $ 15.00. Meanwhile, the game was never sealed to begin with. The employee then suggested my son buy «used» games incase he doesn’t like them and then you don’t waste as much money. Funny, they didn’t tell him that when he handed over $ 39.00. I guess they’re allowed to deem what’s new and what’s not new regardless if it’s wrapped or not at the time of purchase. So long GameStop. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere.

I dropped in to set two phones (Ma + me) up with Cricket Wireless through Gamestop. I had some particular circumstances that caused the default phone setup to assign the wrong area code to my mother (I’m from CA, she’s here in NJ). After we realized that, Travis, the manager, then spent an hour patiently working with Cricket Wireless to fix the situation.
At the same time, he continued to advise his one staffer whenever the staffer was unsure of what to do (which seemed fairly often), welcome patrons as they came into his store, thank them when they left, and briefly answer questions when there was a lull in the conversation with Cricket.
It was an impressive display of calm professionalism.
On top of this all, the place is packed with games. I haven’t played console games ever since my two children arrived but one day I’ll get back into it, and if I’d probably try out a Gamestop simply because of the service I received here.
