Drove right to STS after realizing I ran over screw on way home from work. It was about 520pm and thought for sure I’d be out of luck. Right to the front desk and asked if they could plug. No worries. Left there by 548pm. Helpful, courteous, quick and friendly. Not to mention decent price. Was expecting upwards of 20, but spent less! Happy days!

Terrible service. Unfriendly and kept my car all day and then told me they don’t do that work here. Could be my imagination but i felt a bit of homophobia after i mentioned my husband. LGBT customers just wondering?

I highly recommend STS in Morristown on Hanover Avenue. They are very honest with the work that needs to be completed on your vehicle. The staff is very friendly and always accommodating.

Had been here a few times before. The service was OK. It is in a convenient location for me and the waiting room is fairly comfortable. Which is a good thing because they always kept me waiting a very long time, generally at least twice what they told me it would take.
The reason I am giving them such a low rating is because the last time I went there it was for an oil change for my husbands VW. Unbeknownst to me, VW’s require synthetic oil. I am not a professional auto mechanic. I assumed the professionals there knew what they were doing. If you ask me something in my field I can tell you the correct answer. I don’t think the onus of knowing what kind of oil a car takes is on me. Nor did anyone ask me if synthetic oil should be put in. This incident makes it appear that a very basic level of knowledge is lacking. I will never go there again nor will I recommend it to anyone.

Horrible! I brought my car in for a tire repair (nail). I was asked if I could leave it and come back. I had no problem doing that as I could go back to work and return later. That was at 12:00 noon. Called at 3:45 pm to follow up, only to be told it was just brought in! Really??? So I had a co-​worker drop me off and I had to wait until 4:30pm! That is ridiculous! 4.5 hours to remove a nail and patch a tire??? Yeah, will not be returning here.

I had what I perceived to be an issue from a prior service visit. I discussed it with the management team on staff and they addressed my concerns in a way that told me they valued me as a customer. I always believe you judge a company not when things go perfectly but how they handle any issues. By this metric I am very pleased with sts and the morristown location in particular. I would go straight here for my next tire/​repair issue

Service with a smile make this dealer my go to in NJ. They carry the Nokkian tires that I want and care about their customers like family. It’s rare to find a tire dealer who take each task with care and consideration.
Plus, they are all over New Jersey!

Brought my car in several weekends back because my tire was leaking air. I dropped it off at 9am and by 2:00pm, I still had not heard back. I called STS and spoke to someone on the phone. They told me my tire had no leak. So I got to pick up my car, knowing it has a leak. I had already filled up the same tire numerous times. Once I arrive, they tell me they found a small leak. I then wait another 40 minutes, as they were «supposedly» fixing the leak. They charged me for fixing the tire. Several days pass, same tire starts leaking again. Fed up with STS, I took it to another tire place in Morristown called Dean Tire. The folks there found a huge crack in my tire instantly. It was apparently never patched at STS and furthermore to top it off, the location of the crack was not fixable. I got the tire replaced and it’s been fine since. I would not recommend STS as they have horrible customer service skills and are overall inexperienced. A major disappointment. I will not use STS again.

I had the pleasure of going to sts in Morristown n. j I came in for an oil change and a rotate. to my surprise I need other repairs to my vehicle. they brought me out into the shop, introduced me to my tech and showed me exactly what the issues were with my vehicle. I never received such service at the dealership. the fact that they took the time to show me and explain the repairs proves that you actually can trust them. they even printed out coupons for me to help with the cost. WHO DOES THAT??? many Thanks to Dominick, he was a total gentleman and a pleasure to work with

My wife got new tires from this store. I went back before July 4^th because the unbalance issue. They are very friendly apologized for the short of hand due holiday. The oil was changed before I realized it. So I pulled out my i-​phone and downloaded a coupon right away. Overall, it is a OK place.

I took my car to my local STS with a flat tire on 5−3−12, and am sorry to say that I will never return again. I had never been to STS before, but it was conveniently located near my job, and my right front tire went flat during the work day. I had to replace both the flat tire and the other (left) front tire since the other front tire was bald. Just nine days later, one of the new tires was already flat (the left front). Since I had elected to buy the cheaper version of my usual tire, I suspected that even though I had been driving very carefully and avoiding potholes, it might just be flat due to a poor quality tire. Luckily, it was a Saturday so I was able to take my car to an auto shop near my home. They informed me that the left front was likely flat due to sidewall damage related to the new tire being put onto a bent rim. They could hammer out the rim and replace it with a similar tire, but since they had to hammer out the left front rim they wanted to move that now compromised rim to the back with the matching right front tire (also brand new by 9 days from my STS visit) so that they could move the back older (but better quality tires) to the front. When they removed the right front rim cap to remove the right front tire, they noticed that one of my five studs and the corresponding lug nut were completely gone, leaving an empty hole. My brand new tire had only been attached at STS with 4 lug nuts instead of 5. Please note that if the lug nut and stud would have fallen off sometime in between my visit to STS and my usual auto shop, it would have still been trapped between the rim cap and the wheel. My usual auto shop said they would not have been able to let me leave with this huge safety issue! I had to pay an additional $ 100 for parts and labor to replace what was clearly broken at STS, not to mention the dangers of driving for more than a week with my wheel partially attached.
Ironically, on May 17^th I had yet another flat tire (right front that was an older tire moved from the back at my usual auto shop). Since I was very near the STS near my work, I decided to return and tell them about the safety issue that was caused during my last visit. The staff could clearly see the new lug nut and new stud in place of the one that had snapper off as I explained the issue, but offered no apologies or compensation. All they did was replace that day’s flat tire with a new tire at full price plus labor. One staff member even said that it could not have fallen off while driving because the wheel would have frozen up. The closest I got to any sort of acknowledgement from the staff was «that’s terrible» or «I would be really upset» and «that should not have happened». Well, it did! I’m very unhappy with the service I received, and will never endorse any products or services from STS because I feel so unsafe that they sent me home in a car with a partially attached wheel because they broke it and it was too close to closing time for them to give a damn.

I’ve been going to various STS locations for 15 years. I have had all my routine service done on my foreign cars done at STS. They are extremely fair priced and do quality work. I’ve never had any issues with the workmanship, part quality or price. STS is not a franchise it is a chain of repair shops owned by the employees. I would recommend STS for any routine service.

Yes, EEK! Methinks not for sure! I am one unhappy customer of STS at the moment. As Steve mentioned this is a tire place, but even when you are here for a tire repair, you don’t neccesarily get good service. I dropped my car off at lunch, inquired when it would be ready asking 5pm? I was told no, we will call you as soon as it is ready. So don’t you think then that might mean your car will be ready sooner? Well at 3PM I call get an idea how much longer as I have a ride to arrange — alas, to my horror, they haven’t even touched my car –said they were shorthanded, only 2 people working — it would be a few hours before they could get to it. I was stunned to say the least. By 4:10 I am sitting in the lobby because I had no ride otherwise — and no surprise, they still haven’t touched my car. Earlier on the phone I asked if they were taking people who were waiting ahead of those who drop off, the guy said no, we take them in order they come in. Might I also add that when I got here I stopped counting people when I hit 5… so what after 3PM 3+ people showed up to work? And when you took my car and you were shorthanded might you have mentioned that? I kinda thought that might be a given. So here I sit waiting, fuming because I have decided to start polling customers coming to get thier cars… one lady had only been here for 1 hour and had 2 tires replaced — I brought mine in for 1 tire to be replaced. I am sooooo confused. Surely she must be mistaken on what time she came for service because these people at STS would never lie to a customer would they? I won’t even go into the details of the guy who took the order who was willing to force (aka lie) about a repair to get it done. Unless they get a refresher course on customer service and honesty I say take your car where you will get excellent repairs/​service AND stand up customer service — we shouldn’t be forced to choose.
Oh and my car is ready, in less than 30 mins they replaced a tire, did an oil change and a few other checks, why do I think they really didn’t do the oil change.

I’ve been going to various STS locations since having a car in NJ. I’ve trusted them and they’ve done good work. It can be a bit expensive, but they know their job and don’t try to add on ten other things.
Big negative can be if you are having work done and other cars come in to get tires done — as the center of their business is tires, they tend to focus on getting them done. There is a barebones waiting room, if necessary there’s a strip mall with a Wal-​Mart and some fast food 0.2 miles away, Morristown green is about 1.5 miles away.
One hint — call ahead and ask how many cars are on the lifts if you know your car will have to hit the lifts, gives you an idea how fast you’ll be done (5 lifts total I think)
