Thanks to the technician who is working in the office, named Tim. I have eye examination this morning. Tim performed all checking and testing for my eyes. He did it very careful and did all the steps thoroughly. (I have near sign, etc. for more than 40 years, so I am so familiar with the equipment and the testing procedures for eyes). He also explained and answered my questions in detail and in professional way. The true professional opinion is very helpful to person who is not a professional in the industry. This is very appreciated.

I was very disappointed with Dr. Beers. He is mainly interested in selling expensive surgery than diagnosing the problem or prescribing the right contact lenses or glasses. I went to his office for a checkup and new contact lenses. When I entered the examination room there was a computer playing a slide show about lens replacement surgery. After spending a few minutes with me he recommended the lens replacement procedure that was plying on the computer. Once he determined that I was not interested in the surgery he said good bye and walked out of the room very quickly!!! The contact lenses he gave me are not correct for my eyes, but next available appointment is 4 weeks out. Home Depot approach to eye examination!!! I can not recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Beers is an excellent doctor. He takes the time to get to know you and really takes the time to make sure you have the correct prescription. He is honest and never pushes unnecessary surgery. The staff is super friendly and you feel you are in good hands with him.

I have been going to Dr. Beers and Dr. Shahinian for a number of years. The staff is always professional and very friendly and are always eager to answer any questions. Both doctors had made me aware that eventually I would probably need some correction due to increasing evidence of a cataract in both eyes. I decided it was the right time to have the surgery. So in January, I had my left eye done and then in February, had my right eye done. A Toric Lens was implanted during each of the procedures. The actual surgeries are done at their off site surgery center, just blocks from their office. The surgery center staff make you feel very welcome and make sure you are always comfortable. The procedure takes about a half hour and there is no pain at all. You remain awake but are mildly sedated. I now have ²⁰⁄₂₀ vision and after wearing glasses full time for for almost 50 years, I now only need a cheap set of «readers» for the computer. And I’m also happy to report, that my golf game has improved as well. Thanks Dr. Dan and your entire staff!!!

I’ve seen Dr. Beers for 2 different conditions this year. Both times he and his staff did an excellent job both in the front office and the medical staff. This summer I had excess floaters. The staff made an appointment for that day and Dr. Beers dilated and checked my eyes to confirm it was nothing serious. Floaters happen to people like me who have had posterior vitreous separation.
Recently my eye was cloudy again. This time Dr. Beers found that I’ve developed Glaucoma in my right eye. He started me on eye drops immediately set a follow up appointment for the next day. Fortunately the eye drops are working and I was thankful for the quick diagnosis and treatment.
I would recommend Dr. Beers.

In 2010, Dr. Beers performed my Lasik surgery. I was 21 and had about –5 perception for both eyes. He told me I’m an ideal candidate, etc, etc. Post surgery I had ²⁰⁄₁₅ vision. however 4 years later I need glasses again and now have developed an astigmatism. If I was told it’d only take for 4 years, I wouldn’t have thrown away $ 4,000.
I did it because I figured $ 4,000 was worth it, if it lasted at least 10 years, since I was spending $ 300+/year for new contacts and glasses.
Before Lasik I wore glasses/​contacts for about 8 years, only near sited.

Dr. Beers was aware that I was looking to get rid of my glasses prior to recommending that Lasik would achieve the desired results. The surgery did not help at all. I had to schedule my own f/​up visits and during those few times Dr. Beers and his staff seemed fairly nonchalant about my success. His comment ’ you are looking for perfection’ took me completely by surprise. He suggested f/​up surgery but who in their right mind would allow someone twice over to ‘play’ with their eyes. Would anyone expect any less especially after spending $ 4000 and specifically telling him that I no longer wanted glasses On the contrary I later went to Lenscrafters and I told one of the staff about my experience and she looked at me and said I would have told you in 5 minutes that you would always need your reading glasses. Suffice to say I had to spend an additional $ 500 on glasses soon after. The bottom-​line is that I got stiffed and Dr. Beers and his staff were less than honest when suggesting that I was a good candidate for Lasik.

A former coworker recommended Dr. Dan Beers when I was searching for a great ophthalmologist and I have been extremely happy with the care he and his staff have given me over the past 10+ years. Although I’m not a candidate for LASIK surgery, if the day ever came that I needed it, I know I would be in great hands.
Dr. Beers and Dr. Volpicelli have a wonderful staff who are very professional and welcoming to their patients — I always look forward to my appointments.
I would also like to add some words of praise for their on-​site Optical Shop, and one person in particular — Lee Ann Antonioli. Ms. Antonioli has helped me with several pairs of glasses and sunglasses, and always goes the extra mile. In addition, she is very friendly, warm and personable. I really enjoy talking to her while she helps me with frames choices, and feel as if we are friends.
I highly recommend that you see Dr. Beers and his staff — I know many people who patronize opticians and optometrists, who are not medical doctors. But I prefer to have someone with the knowledge and experience to diagnose not just vision, but everything in regard to the eyes and vision. I think vision is the most important of the five senses, and the comfort I feel from knowing that I am well taken care of in that regard is beyond measure.

I am a Dentist and as such my eyes are my livelihood. I have been researching doing LASIK for a while and was very nervous about doing it. There are a lot of bad stories online which concerned me. I did my homework and once I met Dr. Beers all my fears were put to rest. He and his staff were awesome! The procedure went very well. Dr. Beers and his staff were very comforting during the procedure. The whole thing took about 5 minutes, awesome! I would highly recommend Dr. Beers to anyone considering this procedure. I see the world in HD ²⁰⁄₂₀ now and I love it!
