Great storytime for toddlers with Kat!

This is a great library to get some mid-​day work done. It gets a little noisy when school is out, but this place is very comfortable.

I Love this Library. Very charming, with beautiful bronze art pieces, great recommendations and displays. I especially enjoy the native garden and trails that surround it. Been checking out books, movies and music from Sno-​isle for over 30 years .They borrow from other libraries, add the books you request consistently and are a wonderful resource.

This cozy little library offers a clean, new, and quiet feel with a FIREPLACE! That automatically gives it a +1 star. With large windows at the north wall, lots of natural sunlight shines through that area, which appears mostly occupied by middle-​aged adults reading up-​to-​date magazines. I haven’t checked out the other materials but it looks like they have a good inventory of books in both good and smell-​good condition.
I mainly use this library for the study area but perhaps not suitable for others. When they constructed this library, I don’t think they paid much attention to the noise architecture; it’s the most perfect square of a building I’ve been in. I can imagine how much the sound can travel with noisy patrons/​kids especially since there are NO WALLS to block it. With that said, I’m surprisingly the most productive here especially when I use my ear plugs. And the WIFI is great.
What I really like about this library is that I feel safe inside and I trust that people aren’t out to take my things. I will definitely revisit and check out the other things they have to offer, like the open area they have in the back to hang with your kids.

This is the loudest library I have ever been in by a long shot, including the library at my grade school. I don’t understand why the staff would allow such activity to go on inside of what is supposed to be the most calm and quiet place in town. It’s anti-​clockwork yeah? They even have a security guard. He did a pretty good job of intimidating me with his dirty looks, but completely fails at keeping the calm. If you live in Mukilteo and love reading, or just a calm quiet environment to work, go to the Everett public library. They even have a café there. Cheers.

Fantastic neighborhood library here in Mukilteo! Even if the location is a bit small they can have material shipped here in a matter of days. It is part of the large chain of Sno Isle libraries in the Snohomish county. The staff is there to help you if you need help applying for a card or finding a book. The location is next to a trail where you can walk your dog and read a book at the same time! Genius there are a good amount of comfortable chairs in this library to sit down to enjoy a book or just relax. But be sure not to make too much noise as they will get mad and tell you to be quiet. There is also a large assortment of DVDs and newspapers to rent and view in addition to the books they have there. Tables that they have are large enough for study groups and etc. this is a great library to get things done!

If you come in the afternoon its a holding tank for kids whose parents do not want to pay for childcare… and not a few quiet kids… noisy gangs of kids eating at the tables and having great fun… as if they are at a playground. I know the library staff are not policemen (they do have a «guard» in the afternoon)…a little intimidating for the small town of Mukilteo.

Although a lot smaller than Lynnwood library, Mukilteo library is a lot quieter and CLEANER! They have a quiet study area, which is about ½ the size of Lynnwood’s study area, but very quiet and you can actually get stuff done. The library gets busy from around 3– 6. If you want a quiet, peaceful place to study, come to this sno-​isle branch after 6 pm.

We made the move from King to Snohomish County last year, and I rather randomly chose the Mukilteo branch to sign up for my library card and check out our new library system. It rocks. First of all, the building is beautiful and I love the bronze sculptures that greet you outside, and the interior is bright and welcoming. They have free wireless which saved us since it took over a week to schedule installation at home, self checkout (like at the grocery store), and a great collection– I don’t think I’ve ever left a library without checking something out! The staff were helpful and signing up for my new library card took just minutes. We are truly spoiled in Washington with all of our kick-​a$$ libraries (if you don’t believe me, move to Texas for a year!), and the Sno-​Isle system doesn’t disappoint.
