Meet the Business Owner
Doyle S.
Business Owner
I began my culinary Journey on my family farm in Arkansas, where I found my passion for growing. I moved to Murphy in 1972 for the rick soil and clean water. After sailing around the Islands for close to a decade, it was time to plant some roots. Before I opened Doyle’s Cedar Hill, I opened and staffed numerous successful restaurants throughout the region and Atlanta. The Oak Barrel, Sydney’s Just South, Spencer’s in Marrietta and the Château in Buckhead.
The dream of Doyle’s Cedar Hill Restaurant brings a little bit of the islands to the beautiful mountain farmlands of the Southern Appalachians. Doyle’s opened it’s doors in the spring of 2002, and not long after, Doyle and his son organized and launched the Cedar Valley Farmers Market in Downtown Murphy, offering a connection from the farmer’s garden to your table-and ours! For the past 12 years, Doyle’s has been dedicated to supporting local farmers and gardeners. The benefits of this symbiotic relationship helps us all.
