I had put off getting my wisdom teeth out for 15 years and now in my early 30’s I decided to stop procrastinating and go for it. My wisdom teeth would cause me pain for a week or so a couple times a year. If you are young (teenage years) and reading this, my advice is you just get it over with now. Besides, your parents will cover the expenses if you get it done when you are still living at home. ;)
Dr. Pulsipher had me come in for a consult appointment first. He went over all the procedure details and his associates reviewed my dental insurance coverage and my out of pocket costs. Everything I had questions about was answered and disclosed at this appointment. Never had any surprise costs come up, they are a very professional office/​staff. I work as a pharmacist in retail and I have heard horror stories about extra charges from dentists/​oral surgeons from many of my patients. Didn’t have to worry about that with this office, as it was a written out contract disclosing the breakdown of costs, what my insurance picked up and the remaining amount I owed. During my consultation visit I have to note how wonderful Dr. Pulsipher was with my kids, a 1 and 4 year old, who by the end of the appointment were getting a little restless. You can tell he is a family man by the way he helped my 1 year old put back on his flip flop. Very kind and patient; you get the feeling he loves his job and is very personable.
The oral surgery went well. I woke up not sure if I had the procedure yet. Once I realized my mouth had cotton shoved inside I took this as a good indication the procedure was now over. There was an assistant who was there moments after I came to and was reassuring and helpful. I was released to my husband and given instructions for the next couple of days. I did end up developing dry socket (I realize now that I do an involuntary sucking motion with my mouth that probably brought that on, oops). It was quite painful but the office was great. They cleaned and packed my mouth with clove oil soaked compresses that they put in the lower extraction sites. I had to have this done twice. The first by the other oral surgeon and the second was done by Dr. Pulsipher. He gave me a lot of anesthetic shots in various places in my mouth (won’t lie, this was a lot better to get done when sleeping under anesthesia). He used air and water (thus the numbing) to clean out the extraction sites and packed them up really well with clove solution soaked packing. They gave me a script for the higher strength Norco as the 5mg/​325mg did not help the dry socket pain (being a pharmacist I was hoping to not even touch the narcotics but unfortunately I had no choice as the pain was quite unpleasant to say the least). They did warn me the 3^rd day is the worst day of recovery. That combined with dry socket sucks. Be careful to follow their directions to not use a sucking motion (and obviously no straws) or spit till they tell you it’s fine to do so.
Dr. Pulsipher and his office staff were wonderful through all steps of my 4 wisdom teeth removal. I am very happy to have finally gotten this over with. It has been 8 months post-​op and extraction site holes have been closed up and healed for awhile now. Thank you Dr. Pulsipher and team for your skill and professionalism, couldn’t be happier with the procedure/​outcome. :)

After careful thought, I feel compelled to write a review here. I think it is important to know how your child may be treated if they are under Dr. Pulsipher’s care. Our 13 year old daughter needed to have her wisdom teeth pulled as part of her orthodontic plan. The initial consult went great and we left feeling like he really knows what he is doing and he took a lot of time to explain not only the wisdom teeth pulling but what her possible jaw surgery would entail down the road. The problem came the day of surgery. Totally different experience once they have you booked and in the office. The doctor NEVER came out to see me before or after her procedure (wisdom teeth), an assistant came out with her meds and to tell me that everything went ok. I would think the parents of a child would be able to talk with the doctor briefly.
When I told the assistant that I didn’t think the pain meds prescribed would work for my daughter (previous experience), I was told to call them in a few hours if they didn’t work. Well, sure enough a few hours later, she was in severe pain, swollen up to her eyes and I could not get a hold of anyone. It was 4 oclock on Friday. They were supposed to be there until 5:00. No, after hours numbers to call at all. We managed to get her through the weekend with the help of a family doctor. When I called Monday to say that she was still in severe pain, we were brushed off and I was told I didn’t listen to the after hours call to get the number. What? There was not a number given. Furthermore, when we went in for a check up Dr. Pulispher did not listen to one concern I had about her pain. She has terrible TMJ and we knew her surgery would be even more uncomfortable than most. But, he truly did not care. He spent about 3 minutes talking to her. It was like a totally different person. Weird. Needless to say, we will not be using him when the time comes for her surgery. We are headed to a specialist out of the area. Then just to top it off, when the bill came we noticed they charged us for an extra hour of anaesthesia. Uhhmmmm, she was only in there for like 45 minutes. I truly feel this office just wants your money and that the doctor is extremely arrogant. Just my two cents. I think this is only the second time in years I have written a negative review about a business. I like to promote the good ones. Maybe it was just our experience, but I feel bad my daughter was treated so poorly.

Came here, referred by my general dentist. Not under the best circumstances I showed up and signed in and was given a couple of pages of questions very few of which to my head «don’t have anything to do with dentistry». I answered them anyway leaving, my privacy at the front door.
I was introduced to Heather, the holder of the key of knowledge. I listened and thought about all the information she was imparting unto me. I needed to make a decision about what is surely going to affect me for a longtime to come. «Oh well» I said «Let’s roll» and we made plans.
Within a few days I was sitting in the Surgery Suite «the room that be locked at least it appears that way. I’m sitting there in this sterile room in more ways than one, heh? I hate this part of all dental visits! «Waiting for the needle», yeah that’s it. Waiting for that big prick in the. What. no not that. Don’t we all have dirty little minds?
Dr. Pulsipher is a competent surgeon. With good chairside manner and other than the Crack, boom blash of one of my molars the procedure proceeded quickly and with no pain.
Yup I can’t really say I loves it? It was done well and quickly I would recommend the good doctor to anyone that found themselves in a similar situation.
