Waited a very long time for food and the waitress said it was due to the kitchen being backed up. Ordered vegetarian omelet and the eggs tasted like they were watered down. The pancakes were mediocre at best. My utensils were missing a knife. They claim to have he best breakfast but that’s definitely not accurate.

Lived in Myrtle Beach for 25 years and have been eating at Harrys for 24 of them. Never really had a bad meal be it a 530 am hungover breakfast, a quick lunch or a combination of the two. It’s RARE to find a place, especially in MB, that keeps a lot of the staff year after year. That says something in and of itself. This is a small, family owned business and it shows because they know thier customers by name… regardless of where they are from.

I really enjoyed getting breakfast at this place on our way home from the beach! I have gone to Myrtle Beach ever since I was little and had never eaten here. It was pretty busy on a Sunday as most of the places we saw. Our server was very nice and we had fun joking around with her. The food was great and so were the prices!!! I love an old school breakfast place that serves all the good eats and lots of smiles!

I don’t know where to start honestly. The service and hospitality is just as amazing as the food. Our server was very polite and attentive. I was expecting the food to take a half hour to prepare, however it was out in what felt like 10 minutes. The eggs were delicious and soft. The waffles were awesome. The pancakes were soft and actually tasted like buttermilk and not flavorless(like ihop). THEBESTBISCUITS I HAVEEVERHAD. FORGETANYOTHERPLACE. Overall my girlfriend and I both agree that this is our new breakfast place at Myrtle Beach. Highly encourage everyone to try this place out, guaranteed you’ll come back. We sure will.

Waited a half hour for breakfast for four on an average day. The waitress said she would«comp» an extra order of bacon and apple juice because of the wait, but did not! Just an overall bad experience. I will not eat there again, nor do I recommend this place.

The pancakes had good flavor but were thin, small, and not as fluffy as I would have expected. I find it extremely odd that they leave an open container of creamer on the table all day. I requested sealed creamers which they didn’t have. My omelet was dry, but it was packed with veggies which was very good. It seems like the place nickel and dimes you by the way they charge for certain substitutions and for the extra charges for«premium» items which seemed pretty standard to me. The sausage and egg biscuits are a great deal! They come with a lot of sausage and are a decent size. The biscuits were moist and warm. Anyway, the place is good if you’re close, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to return.

Went here for breakfast yesterday, I honestly cannot see what the fuss is about. The place is small and busy, and you’d assume people come for the food, though I can’t imagine why. I ordered French toast and a scrambled egg. What I got was six pieces of bread, but they didn’t dunk the break in enough egg batter to make it like real French toast, this was more like toasted bread, and no powdered sugar or fruit or anything with it. Just. Bread. The bland scrambled egg came along next to it, on its own plate but sorta spread out to try and make it look bigger than it really was. My Sister ordered a mushroom and Swiss omelet, again… Bland. No salts, peppers or anything to make this thing at all delicious. Unfortunately we were sorely disappointed especially with the quality of the meal and wouldn’t recommend this restaurant.

Service was decent, food was fast, pancakes had a cardboard texture. Do not get pancakes.

We found Harry’s on vacation and loved it. Now that we live in Myrtle Beach we love it even more. Food is great prices are good and the family service is awesome. Their cornbeef omelet with grits is my favorite. Love eating here and will be coming back more.

This is my must have breakfast place in Myrtle Beach. All the waitresses are wonderful, definitely ask for Nicky. She’s a sweetie! The eggs Benedict are amazing, but my favorite is the Greek omelet. The pancakes are wonderful too. The owner was Harry, he has passed so his daughters and son are carrying on his tradition of great food and wonderful, southern hospitality! This is a locals favorite, as another review said, there are other breakfast places around… But I only suggest going to Harry’s if you want a great breakfast with some awesome people that make you feel rite at home!

We were seated quickly and the staff was very friendly. No longer does the restaurant smell like an ashtray! The busboys were quick and professional at keeping the tables turned over so there was a minimal wait time. The food was good. My friends had pancakes, which they said were delicious. I had scrambled eggs, bacon, and grits. The grits were creamy and not lumpy. The eggs were spot on. The bacon was crisp. I know you must be thinking, «Well who screws that up?» Trust me… their competitor down the street succeeded. The gift shop area isn’t too pushy and you are in a tourist town so it’s kind of to be expected. Forego this type of restaurant if you don’t want to see it. If you just need a quick breakfast this place fits the bill.

O.K. it’s hard to mess up breakfast. We eat here at least once a year when we come to MB on vacation. My father-in-law loves it. Cheesy gift area up front, but hey, you’re in a tourist town.

So I’m going to give Harry’s 4 stars. I mean, was it slap you in the face good? No. But it was cool. It was cheap. The bacon was fresh. The grits were good. The eggs were good. It was more like a home cooked breakfast, not as bad as Denny’s but not as good as you need it to be in order to rave about it. Since I’m from California, first time in South Carolina, I LOVED the local color. And it sounded like they have a lot of regulars because the staff knew people by name as they came through the door. I thought that was cool. Will I be looking for something slightly more spectacular the next time I head out to find a meal? Um, YEP! But, it didn’t even come close to sucking so… give it a go! I mean, just to mix it up and get a good down home feeling…

Harry’s was walking distance to our hotel, and wasn’t a bad place to eat breakfast, its just not great. There really isn’t anything here that differentiates it from the other pancake houses on Kings Highway. Staff was friendly, and when we left they gave us a card for 10% off our next meal. We didn’t end up using it. As others mentioned, there are better places for breakfast in Myrtle Beach.

Skip it! Way too many other good places for breakfast. Food was mediocre at best and service was almost terrible.

When you walk in you may think you have went back to 1972. This place could def use a décor update. The waitress I had was very friendly and the food was warm and delicious. I had the pancakes and bacon. I would recommend checking them out for a good breakfast option.

The food is not bad… but it isn’t great. Its OK. We both had omelets with sides of hash-browns. The portions were very large and tasty. I also got a side of blueberry pancakes with whip cream. The canned pie filling blueberries were horrible, I could not finish these. Be sure to order pancakes with NO topping. The one thing that I LOVED was that each table got a coffee pot. We didn’t have to keep bothering the waitress for refills or waiting for her to come around. Service at this place was amazing! Our waitress was fantastic(wish I would have gotten her name). She was super friendly and always wore a smile. I also got a special prize inside my whip cream… the lid to the whip cream bottle. The waitress was quick to fix this and we all had a good laugh. This place would be great if you were super hung over and in need of large potions of food to soak up an all night spring break drink-athon.

My son got the chocolate chip pancakes and they pretty good. I got a bacon egg and cheese biscuit(the cheese was extra) and an English muffin. The biscuit totally fell apart so I had to try and scoop up pieces with a fork. The egg was not fried in a circular form, so it didn’t really fit in the biscuit at all. The English muffin I had to ask about, and it came out after I was done with the biscuit. My husband got the club sandwich and it said it wasn’t all that great. It wasn’t the worst place to go to, and I think if you’re looking for pancakes they’ll make you happy. I didn’t smell any cigarette smoke in the whole restaurant so maybe they don’t allow smoking anymore.

Not bad for a breakfast but not an extraordinary destination for breakfast. My friends eggs Benedict looked really good, but my scrambled eggs and hash browns lacked any flavor, so Texas Pete to the rescue.

The service was top-notch. Our waitress was very friendly; she always wore a smile and seemed genuinely interested in how we were doing. She took our order promptly and accurately and our food arrived quickly. As for the food — it wasn’t bad, but I wouldn’t rave about it either. I would give it another try. My biggest criticism, and the reason I will not return, is the atmosphere. The moment we entered we were hit with the smell of stale cigarette smoke. I would have to agree with one reviewer who said it smelled like«an ashtray». Perhaps this is the reason the food didn’t seem as desirable as it could have.
