Specialties
At Creative Carpentry and Woodworking, we specialize in interior finish carpentry. This type of carpentry includes crown and other interior trim moldings, wainscotting, built-in cabinetry, fireplace mantels and surrounds, interior and exterior door replacement, columns and beams, kitchen and bath cabinet refacing and other custom requested projects. Another thing that we specialize in at Creative Carpentry and Woodworking is listening to our customers needs. We may make some suggestions to our customers throughout the planning and designing stages of their projects, but we will always let them make the ultimate decisions based on their own wants and desires.
History
Established in 1979.
Starting out as a small remodelling company, Creative Carpentry and Woodworking has evolved into a highly skilled interior finish carpentry company. We still do some light remodelling and repair work for our customers that request it from us, but the vast majority of our work is both stain and paint grade finish trim and cabinetry. Many years ago, we recognized that there was a real void in the marketplace for a firm that specializes in finish carpentry, not just a handyman or general contractor that says they will do finish carpentry. Since that time, we have been very fortunate to have a very loyal and appreciative core of valued customers that have experienced that passion that we have for what we do. Finish carpentry at Creative Carpentry and Woodworking is not just a job that we do for a paycheck, it is in our blood, and what we love to do. We think that our passion shows, and invite our prospective customers to experience it for themselves,
Meet the Business Owner
Tim M.
Business Owner
As owner of Creative Carpentry and Woodworking, I have been in the building trades my entire working life. As a young early teenager, I was helping my father when he would shingle roofs, as part of his roofing business. I also went through the building trades program when I was in high school. After graduation, I worked full time with my father again as he had transitioned into more of a small remodelling company. He was a wonderful teacher of the trade, and I owe the majority of my present day knowledge to him. But even though I enjoyed remodelling, I still wanted to learn how homes were built in the first place. I then worked for a home builder in the local area, and rose to foreman position within 2 years. After a couple more years of building homes, I decided that I wanted to get back into the remodelling business, and started my own company. It wasn’t until the mid 1980’s that I started specializing in finish carpentry. Ever since that time, it has been my passion.
