Established in 1975.

In September, 2005, my dream of owning and running my own business became a reality. The former owner of Pent-​Air, Inc. (a Naperville business for over 30 years) sold his business to me in the interest of retiring in a few years. We changed the name of the business and it is now Dutchman Heating and Cooling, Inc. We are a Christian owned business and have been since 1975.

My name is Mike Bakker and I have been working in the heating and air conditioning field since I was 16. My dad owned a heating and air conditioning business on the south side for which I worked for several years before moving to DuPage County. I worked for a few larger companies in the area, both as a Service Technician and as a Service Manager, doing residential and commercial work. I then decided it was time to branch out on my own as the business practices of some did not always coincide with my values. I feel that quality of service and installation should be the top priority in an HVAC company. When other companies feel their install is complete we then go through our 81 point check list of additional items. Our checklist sets us apart from the industry and helps make your system more efficient, reliable and deliver capacity and comfort levels for which they were designed. This attention to detail is what separates us from our competitors.
