Love this store great healthy food and treats for all pets, and they do wonderful work for the rescue. And a friendly and helpful staff

Cute pet store with a nice variety of natural pet foods. My cats’ wet food is 10 cents less a can here compared to Petco. Happy to have just moved within walking distance, will definitely be my new place for pet supplies.

As someone who is obsessed with my dog, I love stores like this. I actually wasn’t planning on coming here, but I ran out of dog food while staying at my boyfriend’s house for the weekend and this was the closest store that carried her specific food. This place is pretty big and is basically a department store for all your pet’s needs. They have everything from food, treats, toys, health supplies etc for your dog or cat. They carry most of top high quality lines of pet food here, along with premade raw options as well. As soon as we came in, an employee came over that was super friendly came over and greeted my dog and I and asked if we needed help finding anything. I didn’t need help finding anything as I already knew what was I looking for, but I like when stores do this. I can’t tell you how many times I have been in other retail stores standing around clueless and can’t even find anyone free to help. I was able to quickly find her food and also picked up a few cans of wet food while I was there. I was shocked by the price of her food! I had been paying $ 19 a bag at the store by my house in Philadelphia for the 5lb bag of my dog’s food, which is a high quality, grain-​free kibble. When they went to ring it up here, it was only $ 11.50! I could see a couple dollars difference, but that’s a huge difference for the exact same food. I thought it may have been a mistake but I have returned to Buzzy’s since and the food was still the same low price. The place in Philly must have been robbing me. I can’t believe people have said this place is too expensive, high quality stuff is obviously going to have higher prices than cheap stuff. I find their prices to be very reasonable, reasonable enough that I will make the further drive over here from now on even though there are stores that sell her food closer to my house. They also does a lot to support good pet related causes and hold adoption events in the store. I am so glad to have found Buzzy’s!

My dog and I love going to Buzzy’s! They have a great selection of high end food and treats. The staff is always very helpful and friendly. I have been there so many times and really do not understand the reviews that complain about customer service. Also I find that the prices are very fair and they do a lot to help animals in need. Great store!

I’ve really tried to like Buzzy’s. Really. Not only is it expensive, but I also have to seemingly beg to get help from employees who are too busy chatting with one another. Despite living only a mile away from Buzzy’s, I travel to Braxton’s in Wayne/​Radnor for the bigger cat and dog items (leashes, toys, beds, collars, et al.) and go to Spot’s in Narberth for food and treats.

This store has a great selection of cat stuff. I really feel like felines are so neglected in the Philly area so it was nice to walk in a pet store and actually see a cat section rather than a shelf with one dusty and lonely cat dish. I can find plenty of great items for both my dog and my cat. I was offered help as soon as I walked into the store. I had visited darn near every center city pet store the day prior to finding Buzzy’s and you know what… the staff was the same at every store… kind of… hmmm…mean. I met ONE Philly pet store owner that was actually chatty, helpful, and kind! Too bad her store was dog-​centric. The only thing that bothered me about Buzzy’s was when the woman who rang me up asked if I belonged to the rewards club and I said no… she never asked me if I’d like to join! Isn’t that the followup question? I’ll ask to join next time. Overall, this store is pretty nice and offers quite a lot for a non chain pet shop. The people who work there are very friendly and my puppy Sammie loves going there to get groomed. They have an assortment of bake goods for the dogs. They have a wide range of dog food and treats for the dogs. They have the best dog costumes too!

I just wanted to update my last review —
I think they’ve taken the customer service complaints to heart. I’ve been in the store several times in the last few months, and their customer service has improved a lot. The staff is friendlier, way more helpful and I’ve been greeted almost every time I walk in.
PLUS, I’ve noticed that their prices are actually CHEAPER than PetSmart or Petco for many items we buy for our animals,. Well, Petco is outrageously expensive, but that is another review.

Very cheap prices, more often than not they beat the internet prices and with Buzzies you don’t have to worry about shipping!
We get our food here, we special order it because they don’t keep it in stock (it is an obscure dog food). We have a standing order but it can be a little bit of a hassle because ever now and then the order for some reason does not get filled. Somewhere on their end the order gets misplaced or the slip isn’t filled. I would dock Buzzies for this but each and every time they place another order and give us free samples of the dog food we order to hold us over until our next bag comes in. I can’t be anything but happy with free dog food (I own two Great Danes).
Other than that one little hick up — that gets me free dog food. The place is great! The staff is friendly and always helpful even carrying dog food bags to my trunk when I had a broken clavicle.
Cats for adoption are always so cute and worth playing with for a few minutes.

Superior products for creatures great and small. The mission this store has is top notch: supporting companion animals and their owners.
This is not the bargain basement of pet food marts but the quality food my pets eat has meant fewer trips to the vet. Healthy pets are happy pets and that makes me very, very happy.

They carry very high quality pet foods, but like the other reviews said, they are sorely lacking in customer service. I shopped for about 20 minutes and not a single staff member spoke to me. (There were at least 4 employees working and zero other customers in the store.)
They’re also very expensive-​you can get much better prices if you order online. If they offered good service I’d probably suck it up and pay extra to support a local business, but for $ 1 more per can of cat food (not exaggerating!), I’ll skip being completely ignored and order online.

My owners take me here a lot. We’ll they take us a lot. Me, my brother and the next door neighbor. The place is really bright and I can see all the stuff I want. Most of it is at head level which is great because I can lick things and we don’t have to buy them. That’s a good thing because I don’t have a job and if I had to buy everything I licked… well.
I saw other reviews that some humans don’t seem to like the staff. That is really unusual because in the 100 trips here I found them to be great every single time. They let me jump on them and they talk in funny voices. Funny voices make me laugh dog style inside.
They have the food I like, the treats I like and they even have bunches of toys that squeak. I don’t know what it is about squeaking but it gets me every time. Even when the neighbor comes over to hang out she grabs the squeaky stuff. Something about that squeak.
Anyway I just learned how to read and type so excuse any grammatical errors. This human language thing isn’t the easiest. I saw that my owner signed up for the Bow Wow club. It seems to be worth it because he was singing some song in the car about getting a free bag of dog food. I forget the lyrics but that seemed to be the main point of the song. «La La free bag of dog food La La». Humans.
Any way this place is worth the trip. Everyone seems really cool and they all have nice knees. They even have ice cream.

Buzzy’s carries many great products and you have a wonderful variety to choose from! I come here bc they are the only place I know who has the food my dog LOVES! Yes it is pricey but that’s not an issue on my end at all, anything my dog loves, I’ll get him. However it’s nice I can run in quickly, grab what I need, and head out the door …
Which is what I want to do the second I am in there …
I don’t know why, but the staff is always so grumpy and rude. I never get a «hello» or «can we help you find anything». Someone is always mad about something or grumpy for whatever reason and they no problem talking about it loudly as if no customers are there. And I highly dislike the way the «house» dogs are reprimanded. I’ve heard «shut up!» too many times …
Im desperately looking for another place that carries my dogs favorite food … until then I am stuck sucking it up and going here … I hope someday to be pleasantly surprised … but I won’t hold my breath.

I must say I am rather puzzled by the poor ratings Unilocalers have given customer service at Buzzys. During both my pregnancies I went there to buy giant bags of grain-​free dog food, and every time they offered to carry them to my car. Overall the staff was helpful and friendly when I couldn’t find an item. Yes, it’s expensive, but everything pet and baby related is because the industry knows that parents will pay the high prices. Their vast selection can’t be beat. I live in Philly but gladly drive the 25 mins to frequent this Nordstroms for companion animals.

I found all sorts of things I’d been looking for but couldn’t find anywhere (at least, without ordering them off the internet). including Snoozer products!
I got a bunch of Himalayan Chews which I’d seriously been looking for for at least a year now. They also had awesome toys and just all sorts of stuff. I wish I had found it way sooner… but at least we did get to go at least once…

At Buzzy’s you will pay high prices for high quality products. The difference here is this store’s great mission to help orphaned pets.
I followed Connie, a wonderful sales expert, over to Buzzy’s. This store respects their customers & sales staff. They also work with rescue organizations to host in-​store adoption drives.
The latest & greatest? A Pit Bull seminar titled «Punish the Deed, Not the Breed» spreading the truth about pitbulls & debunking BSL. For a store in the burbs, that’s one initiative I can stand behind and am willing to travel for.
Back to the high end products. This shop is definitely for the pampered pup! Some may think spending $ 12 on SPA’s Ginger Grapefruit shampoo is a lot for a dog. Given that my last bottle kept me going for almost 2 years I think it’s worth it.
There’s plenty of parking, the store is clean & there are free treats for your furry friends.

I hate to write a nasty review for a store that puts alot of effort into ped adoptions and working with the spca, but really, the store itself is a overpriced snooty pet store on the Main Line. Organic dog food– really? For dogs who are perfectly content scavenging for trash on the streets of Manayunk, spending close to $ 2 a can on organic chicken dog food seems like a travesty. I’m quite sure they really wouldn’t care if the chicken was free range or not. So I gave up on looking for affordable dog food, decided my dogs would starve (kidding of course I hit up the Trader Joe’s dog food section– super cheap!), and focused my efforts on a new leash/​harness.
Since one of my dogs has turned into Houdini and can manage to free himself from any harness/​leash, I needed something industrial and a little help from the staff to boot. Unfortunately everyone was too busy socializing at the registers. Even the desperate looks of cluelessness thrown in their direction didn’t seem to do the trick, I finally gave up and left empty handed…

Buzzy’s has a good selection of high-​end dog, cat and small pet food and toys, but I’d rather spend my time at Braxton’s in Devon.
The sales help at Buzzy’s is, for lack of better description, weird. More then once while in the middle of shopping I was asked if I was ready to check out (when I clearly wasn’t) and another time I was looking at cans of dog food and a clerk decided to take that moment to make sure the labels were all facing forward of the cans I was standing in front of. It’s just odd.
The atmosphere and selection at Braxton’s is much better if you can get out there.

Buzzy’s is one of the best pet stores around. They sell an amazing variety of high quality foods and supplies and even have a freezer full of BARF diet stuff (if you can stomach feeding it to your dog, which I can’t). The staff is amazing; they are super friendly and helpful, and even carry bags of dog food to your car (or maybe I just got lucky!).
In addition to being a great place to stock up for your pampered pet, they also are active in the community and regularly have adoption events and fundraisers for local rescue groups; no puppy mill puppies here! In fact, they have cats from a local rescue group (not sure which one) in the store all the time. Not only can you visit the adoptable kitties when you’re shopping, but you can also check them out through the online kitty cameras!
My only complaint is that high end products cost an awful lot, and I’m super poor! Oh, and supplies are pretty limited if you have anything other than dogs and cats.
