J.Crew

Stopped in the store while in town visiting. I had a pleasant experience while shopping in the kids section for my niece. There was an associate strictly in that section and he was so nice offering to find sizes in items that were not available on the salesfloor. While he had no luck in the stockroom, I appreciated his help.
This location is neat and organized and there were plenty of employees on hand. I usually have a hit or miss experience with J Crew service in general, regardless of location, but this one visit was a good one.
Tip: Womens sale is hidden away in the back in same room as Kids clothing.

Nice store but the sales associates at this location have a bit of an attitude. I mean c’mon, you’re working at a J. Crew in Green Hills Mall– this ain’t Louis Vuitton on Fifth Avenue sweetie. Other than that, it’s a great store!

This J Crew is really good. The MENS section is much larger here than many locations. They’ve got some really strong staff members here, too, that really help you. The selection is pretty deep as well. I like it.

I’m a longtime J. Crew shopper. Because, while I love to frequent local Nashville stores (and do!), I find myself returning to the Crew again and again for beautiful basics. And I’m smitten with Katie Ferrell. Katie’s one of the «personal stylists» that J. Crew talks about in their national messaging. Really, Katie IS their national message. I’m old enough to be this young woman’s mom — but she just totally GETS my style. And she never bullsh*ts me. She’ll tell me when something doesn’t work. She’ll even say, «It looks fabulous, but you know you won’t wear that…» And she’s right.
Today, Katie took it up a notch. Over the last couple of years, I’d bought two pairs of J. Crew’s very popular MacAlister wedge boots. Loved ‘em. But on both pairs, the cording/​seaming kept coming loose. Took them to be repaired, but it happened again. Today, I finally got organized and brought both pairs back to the store. Katie took one look at them and said, «Oh, this isn’t good.» Now granted, one pair was bought 2 years ago, the other last fall. But she (and J. Crew) just made it right. Per my request, she swapped out one pair with a new pair (saying, «if there’s any problem, bring these back») and for the second pair (in a color no longer carried), gave me a credit. AND made it all easy with no fuss.
Of course, you might think «well, of course, the store should have done that.» Yeah. But so many places don’t. Even sweet local places. Katie and J. Crew made it easy and seamless. And reminded me again why it’s a great Nashville place to shop.

I love J. Crew. LOVE! This store used to have great customer service, which I consider to be along the lines of friendly greetings, «May I help you?», starting a fitting room, checking up on me while trying things on, etc. Well, my last visit here was kind of spotty, but overall still nice, so, I’m giving it the 4 stars. Yay! I’m still a fan.
Hot tip: If you are an XXS, XS, or XL, this is your store to score. Sizes Small — Large seem to sell out first.
