The heart of Mount Princeton is our geothermal springs. Guests lounge in crystal clear, odorless waters reaching 135 degrees, constructing cooling currents with smooth river rocks. Revered by the Ute Indians as a ceremonial bath, these springs also feed our pristine pools, complete with a water slide, averaging 95 degrees in temperature.
Our new Spa and Club offers relaxing massages and nail services. Pamper yourself with our extensive menu of spa and nail services.
History
Established in 1860.
The Ute Indians may have been the first who soaked in the hot water, recognizing the healing benefits of the minerals. The first European settlers were freight haulers and surveyors interested in homesteading and mining. They built a way station, hotel, and freight depot to accomodate those traveling over Tincup Pass, bound for the mines of Ashcroft and Aspen, and over the Altman Pass toward Gunnison County.
In 1965, a lodge and dining room were created of native river rock and timber on the old foundation of the Mt Princeton Hot Springs Resort Hotel. Today Mt Princeton is a popular destination, newly modernized, thanks to the current owners. Rooms were beautifully rebuilt and log cabins were built by the creek. The same «old west» Colorado hospitality prevails in our attentive staff and management, who are eager to introduce to you the imcomparable Mt Princeton Hot Springs Resort.
Meet the Manager

Manager
I have been at Mt. Princeton Hot Springs Resort since 2003. I have witnessed the improvements first hand. The new cabins and Spa and Club are a fantastic addition to our mountain get-away. The hot springs is a relaxing way to unwind after a long day of hiking or skiing. I enjoy them most in the winter time especially when its snowing on a full moon night. Come relax in the hot springs, a luxurious cabin or a room and experience a true mountain vacation!
