Worst car wash ever… My husband took both cars to be washed at Papas. My husband has chipped paint on his car and I have a ding in my windshield. This was brought to the managers attention and reviewed via video. My husband was told that the owners would be contacting us. The manager called back and said we would not be reimbursed for the damage. The owners refused to talk to my husband. I believe the owner who happens to be a physician in town, has no desire for customer service in their side business. This is very disappointing since we are all about supporting local. Papas car wash competitor is directly across the street and we will be taking our vehicles there. Too bad Papas. It looks like you are losing customers all of the time…

Horrible service from both high school managers and the owner that has no respect for customers. I recently bought a used car, 2014 Ford Fusion (I was born with a permenant disability that prevents me working professional jobs like a policeman, fireman or airline pilot, not even military) so excited to have this car with long term saved up. So on the 6^th day of owning it, I decided to go to papas car wash, and upon paying, I was greeted by this teenager. Nice ride he said, he helped the cc transaction go easier, I pull around the bend, a car ahead of me lining up, same teenager walks over to passenger side, pointed at mirrors, I quickly told him no no no it’s ok. He asked if they are automatic folding mirrors I said no but don’t worry about it, he pushed hard on attempting to fold it in. I felt the car nudge pretty fairly, he was pushing he mirror so hard while I was trying to say no no no, he broke it completely cleaned off, the wire for the auto dim and electric adjustment was holding the mirror together, he tried playing it casual. Looked at me and say mirror on top nicely and then started directing me in to tunnel. Oh hell no that didn’t just happened? I parked on the spot, I told him what did you do? I walked over to the mirror to barely touch it, it falls over. The kid nervously mumbled and shocked unsure what to do, I told him calm down, accidents happen no one is hurt, let’s get manager here and figure this out, manager comes. Looks at it, asked questions, kid was honest and upfront, I thanked him for that and manager tells me ok, we will cover this. We’ll fix it, I’m like when? How? Manager was all, let’s go through car wash and we will fill out accident report, the owner will contact you on where to go to get the mirror fixed, it broke the brace clean with no way of reattaching it, I said you’re gonna leave mirror hanging in car wash I don’t think so buddy. Manager wast sure what to do, calls over another manager, both dumbasses, both managers whisper each other and looks behind since its holding up the line. Quickly runs to get blue tape. Starts taping it all over the door and asked me. Lets meet on the other end. I said no lets get my car out of tunnel bay and resolve this now. They urged and pleaded me to go through. So eventually I did and quickly the mirror once again fell off the tape. Upon pulling out, manager high school blonde directs me to park in bay, manager high school nazi tall kid comes with clip board and asked for my info, while other manager evaluates the housing of the mirror and holds up, tells me come here, to look at these substance that appears to me looks like white lubricant for mirror open/​closing I assumed, but he goes, this is glue of some kind. Your mirror broke before and this glue was holding it. I was like wait a minute, your little guy over there was pushing car so hard it broke it off, you all are responsible for that period, they said no, likely not, that the owner will quickly dismiss this, manager nazi started taking photos, asked for me to give my info and sign here for owner to review. Nope I wasn’t having that. Bull crap, I told those high school manager, please call the owner, get him here, eventually he came, walked strIght over to mirror, I walked over, seconds later. The owner tells me come look, what is that, I told him I don’t know and certainly neither do any of you, that looks like lubricant or something to flex the housing open/​closing, owner looked at me in a smart ass way, says this is glue (very loudly, pointing at my hearing aid as if I’m hearing him). Man I was offended, and he said, this is not factory, I will not cover this. I tried explaining to him how is it not factory and how the heck you decide what goes if you’re sure if that’s glue. Secondly, I explain to him so if one of your employees walk up to my car, and after I directed him not to fold them, he breaks my mirror off, you won’t cover that, he loudly said noooooooo!!! Man, these people, especially this owner that I never met, who, discriminated intentionally and mocked me, to let me leave with a busted broken off mirror. I was shocked to see that happened, I should have called the cops to report that individual for property damages. But then again, I appreciate this kids honesty and owning up to it, but not the owner manners and ability to repair my car. Never will go there again. I took me time to barely get mirror fixed, but every time I drive by it, I’m disgusted with their service.

My first time here and last. I took my wife’s vehicle to get washed and detailed. After all said and done, I paid around $ 55 for a poor job. It being my first time here or even getting a vehicle detailed, I was unsure of what was to be done. So I brought it to the attention of the person doing the work. The vents, center console, and inside door handles were missed. The front inside windshield was never cleaned and the carpet was poorly vacuumed. He stated to me the package I bought was for a 20 minute detail of the interior. Ok, well if I knew that, then I would have passed. I gave a tip and went on my way. Take this review as you may. But if someone in management tells you that they will get in every nook and cranny. That’s kinda what you expect.

Plz fellow Unilocalers save yourself some un-​needed & very much undesirable drama from their shady and faulty equipment. I have been there a total of 3 times and should have listened to my gut when I first saw the broken front window of a Toyota 4 runner. Literally the machine came down on the driver while in the wash and busted out the front windshield of her car, there was even glass all throughout the interior of her vehicle. The lady was frazzled and pissed to say the least; but I hoped it was just some freak accident on the Car wash’s part and I went back another time to get my somewhat dirty car washed (my fault). The second time I went to this place, another weird accident for a suburban next to me. Some how the machinery went faulty again!!! So this all brings me to the 3 rd visit; which led to my car becoming another victim of Papas Car wash. Might I add that my car is less than a year old and has minimal to no scratches on it. So anyway my car came out of that place with hairline scratches throughout the entire vehicle, with no rhyme or reason to their pattern. After I drove out and noticed I spoke to the manager and he claimed,” I have to review the video”. So he reviewed and obviously found fault because he handed me an invoice that clearly states the tAke responsibility of the scratches. I mean I’m no genius, but I’m thinking after giving me a costumer vehicle damage report that they accepted responsibility. So anyway, they sent me to a local shop, where they continued to tell me that they would not start on the car till Papas ok’d it. So then I have to go back to papas and explain that I need them to ok it… Yeah, they also are no geniuses that work for the management. They continue to tell me that they have to review the video AGAIN!!! Okay, whatever!
Then I go back to the local car shop and there they tell me that my car is #4 sent damaged from papas this week, and papas is not going to pay because the scratches are inconsistent with their faulty for lack of other words, machinery.
So very long and extremely annoying situation. They were at fault for the accident, then they took it back.
Beware!!!
Don’t go to this place there is literally a nicer spot across the road.

This is by far the best car wash in New Braunfels, Tx. Always keeps my car looking new as when I first purchased it. Thank You Pappa’s !!

Horrible 1^st time experience! Will never again use their services and letting everyone know of their horrible service from their car wash attendants all the way up to the owner of the company. Took my Chevy Cruze to get a quick express wash $ 18 during my lunch break and ended in a nightmare. The car wash attended had lack of compassion for his job or the property of others vehicles and failed to give any sort of instruction on how to properly enter the wash. After entering the car wash, the attendant attempts to yell at me (while windows are rolled up) to place car in neutral AFTER my car is on their tracks and during my wash! Not only did I have to roll the window down to hear him we had to stop the entire wash, reverse out and in the process continually scratch and dent my vehicle!!! My car again had to be run through (correctly this time). After exiting and inspecting my vehicle several scratches were noted all over car. An incident report was taken by asst Manager Robert, who specifically tells me what EXACTLY caused the damage to my vehicle after I asked what could have caused it. He even stated that it was negligence on their part due to reviewing the camera and observing their car wash attendant’ lack of notifying any instructions until it was too late. He ensured me that all would get taken care of and that i would be notified by the owner, Benny, by the next business day. This occurred on a Monday, 7÷13÷15 I finally notified the company on 7÷16÷15 to have a follow-​up due to lack of communication on both management and owner’s part. I was told on this day by asst manager Robert that owner had still not made notes regarding reviewing my incident. When finally notified back later this day I was simply told by Benny, the owner, «your car was like that prior to entering the car wash, we are not liable.» Even denied the FACT That the assistant manager specifically could explain to me what caused each damage. Shame on this company for not taking pride in their work, not even attempting to try to see the customer’s side of the incident and shame on the owner Benny for not even asking to take a first hand look at my vehicle and inspect it himself. Majority of my damage had to be looked at at an angle due to the way their equipment scratched my vehicle, I have worked with cameras for 8 years and I know that regardless of HD cameras or not, if it is not live CCTV feed and rather Intellex, a camera will NOT see this damage on my car prior to entering their car wash! They use this as a scapegoat to get away from liability for damage on customer’s vehicles!!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE, safer going across the street to the other car wash where your car is in good hands!

Only been to this place a few time but they are always leavening my vehicle clean and looking nice I would defiantly recommend this place to my friends

This place does it, and does it well! The price, and service, keep me coming back. The coolest part of it is that you can use your debit card inside, after you’ve paid for your wash, to leave a tip… and they always deserve one.

The amount of time Pappas spends on each vehicle is fantastic especially when you consider that they are much cheaper than the wash tub.
Family owned and operated by locals. There’s no reason to go anywhere else.

I have only had one full service car wash and it was great. I do go often for self serve special. Very nice place. Thanks for the free wash today.

My husband has a monthly service pass and just loves being able to just stop by and get his car looking like new.

Went here for the very first. I am in animal rescue so my car needed a heavy duty detail in which I was happy to pay. But a manager came over to me and asked about a dry stain on the back of my SUV. It was a puppy who had vomited 5 months ago. It was a dry dusty area on the seat and floor and back. I was told they could not clean that area because it was a biohazard and they do not have gloves. Really, totally dried up stains? But there is no hazard that the employees wear no gloves while using all those chemicals? So I was refunded 22 $ and they clean all but that area. I won’t be back here and it’s sad because what they did do for the price was good.

Long waits, cars taken out of order, rude employees, employees washing personal vehicles when on break making the order more confusing. The cost is good for the service, but the stress that comes with it overshadows the value.
To improve, stop practice of employees washing vehicles on break, issue ticket numbers for full service washes to control proper flow. Train employees to properly interact with customers. Rudeness should never be tolerated.

You get a great car wash at Papa’s, I think the best in town. State of the art recycle water system, courteous employees, free vacuums, and upgrade available if you want them to dry your vehicle off. The price is right, would recommend it to anyone!

Worst car wash ever. The only good thing is the tire dressing. Don’t expect miracles but a better job than a 5 year old could do. The inside didn’t look like it had been vacumned. Supposed to have leather air fresher not whatever this is. Tried to talk to manager but there were several people in line and they were in office where their conversations could be heard for a ehile before that. Not going back. $ 25 down the drain. Th herr are several car washes in town so step it up.

Excellent wash service. These guys do a great job and they are very quick compared to everyone else in town.

Very disappointing experience. We paid for the wash and left our car there because it was so crowded – which I thought was likely a sign that they did good work, silly me. We got back about an hour later and our car was not clean at all. There were water spots all over it from obviously sitting out without being dried and dirty rag smear marks. It was an awful half-​ass job on the outside and the inside looked like they’d used a leaf blower instead of a vacuum. I should have complained, but the total chaos of the place just made me want to get out of there and never go back.

Love my car wash! I think the price is right and you can use your HEB receipt for discounts! The service was quick and Cory was awesome! I didn’t get the names of the guys who did my car but they were polite and did a great service to my car!

Just had my first car wash at Papa’s and it was wonderful!
The set-​up: It’s sorta like a combo between the drive-​thru kind at the gas station, and the attended kind like Wash Tub. You pull up to the kiosk and pick your package; you can choose between a simple exterior only drive-​thru, or the interior package which includes the exterior drive-​thru PLUS the interior/​finishing touches which are done by the attendants. Even though I did the exterior only, I still interacted with 2 different staff people and both were friendly, welcoming, and knowledgable. There’s also free vacuums that are self-​service.
The wash: Very successful! My car NEVER gets as clean at the gas station drive-​thrus. A staff member even unscrewed my antenna before I drove in, which I much appreciated. I had to pay $ 170 years ago after losing mine in a drive-​thru car wash, so yea, I loved that.
