** I did not eat pizza ** I stopped in here today to get some food while I was doing laundry across the street. The guy working was super nice, so no deduction there… but I got a grinder and I don’t think I will have another from here. The bread almost seemed like it wasn’t cooked all the way and the toppings were nothing to write home about. Probably my least favorite sandwich I’ve had since moving to New Haven because of the bread situation. If I’m here for laundry & starving, I definitely won’t get another grinder… but I’m willing to give them a chance for some pizza or a calzone since the guy working was so nice.

Best veggie California pizza — chock-full of broccoli, tomatoes, spinach, and some other goodies. Fresh, not too greasy.

This has become our family’s go-to place for pizza and on days when we get tired of cooking. They are generous with their toppings and have great customer service. The delivery is always very fast too. Take note: the store’s owner is different from back in 2011 or 2012, so the poor reviews earlier on Unilocal should be disregarded.

We live in East Rock and ordered from here because they are close by and we got a coupon in the mail. The prices were relatively cheap and the portions were relatively large. The cheese pizza was decent. Not New Haven style, more New York style with foldable slices, which we prefer. Good stretchy cheese. They forgot our soda but came back later with it plus one extra to compensate, which was very thoughtful. We might order pizza from them again. Not the wings though. The wings were gross. But their decent pizza, convenient location, and customer service will keep our business.

SERVICE was fast as hell literally fastest delivery I’ve had with the Eat24 app. Food was fresh and great had the burger, poppers and tenders all was really tasty and delivery guy was very polite. First and definitely not the last time for this place!

My family and I order from here often and it’s certainly one of our go-to pizza spots. The wings & the stuffed bread are ONPOINT and the service is always awesome. I will certainly order from here again:)

Good wings, fast delivery, friendly service. Pizza is pretty good, and anything else I’ve tried has been good. They forgot part of our order once but more than made up for it on our next order. Will use them again and again.

This place is great. We order pizza every Friday as a family tradition and they are always fast, friendly, and the prices are good. When I was pregnant and my husband was out of town I was eating here twice a week! They are so fast that this evening they actually took the stated 45 minutes to deliver(usually it’s far faster) and we thought something was wrong. Nope, they were still on top of things and the owner Robert delivered our pizza with apologies(for being in time rather than crazy fast!)! WE were the ones who needed to apologize, we have been spoiled by good service. The pizzas are tasty, but also get the stuffed bread. This is the best thing they make. Sausage and onion was recommended to me, and it’s delicious. It’s even better warned up the next day.

Okay prices, okay food, fast delivery. I got a small pepperoni pizza, mild buffalo wings, french fries. Greasy comfort food. It isn’t new haven style pizza, but its decent.

Yes, we live in a Pizza City, but adjust your expectations and you’ll find that Angelo’s is a perfectly good neighborhood pizza joint. Delivery(in East Rock) has always been fast! They sell by the slice in the store. I’m actually not too crazy about their traditional pie, but I love their others, especially there large selection of white pies. The Bianca is a delight: spinach, ricotta and roasted garlic. Yum!

Pizza in New Haven is all about expectations. Everyone talks about how nothing can compare to Pepe’s, Sally’s or Modern… or Bar. But since I live in East Rock and didn’t feel like driving to pick up pizza at Modern(ok, it’s a five minute drive tops, please don’t judge me), I figured I’d try Angelo’s so I could just walk the half block to pick it up. And it was good! Hallelujah, I found a decent pizza place in walking distance of my home! The crust isn’t too thin and the pizza isn’t too oily. I now have a place to go for my ultimate lazy dinner nights.

Avoid this place. I ate a burger here last night, and while the burger wasn’t the worst going down, it made me feel nauseous about an hour later. The man who took my order was rude and abrupt for the entire exchange. He made me feel like I was inconveniencing him to take my order. The two tables they have are broken and dirty. When I got home, I took off my sweater and realized that it stunk like Angelo’s(greasy, disgusting reek). Oh and when I asked to use the restroom he said they didn’t have one – then pointed to the laundromat across the street as an option. I actually know the people at the laundromat and they get annoyed that Angelo’s refuses customers the use of their facilities and sends everyone over to them. Overall, shady, smelly and rude little pizzeria that shouldn’t be allowed to stick around in East Rock.

The location of this restaurant is convenient for East Rockers. And there aren’t a lot of delivery pizza joints in New Haven, which makes Angelo’s a good choice. The food is reasonably priced and the portions are huge. As far as taste, there are a lot of better options. But the food isn’t bad.

Pizza delivery joint at the corner of Foster & Willow in the East Rock neighborhood. There is an abundance of great pizza in New Haven, and while Angelo’s isn’t The Best, it’s actually pretty good. They deliver, whereas most of the apizza places don’t. Also, they sold me raw dough for only $ 1, which I used to make my own fabulous pizza, and you can’t beat that!
