As a Rotarian whose Club meets at this establishment weekly and and a member of an informal breakfast group that also meets there twice a month, I have nothing but good things to say about the Graduate Club. The food is excellent and the staff go out of their way to make sure all your needs are met. Did I mention my wife and I also had our wedding rehearsal dinner there? Great job there as well.

The Graduate Club is a private membership club, so I’m not surprised I’m the first to review. I am not a member, but as an attorney I have attended a few different events there, including continuing legal education seminars led by local attorneys and judges. It is an elegant-looking old house on Elm Street in New Haven, well-preserved. Creaky wood floors, original woodwork, lots of pretty little rooms. The Club is not a restaurant, but serves food as part of its hosting of weddings, banquets, and other events. For example, when I’ve been for seminars, which usually start at 8:30 or 9 in the morning, the Club has put out a nice table of fresh fruits, coffee and tea, juices and water, along with hot steel-cut oats and appropriate toppings(nuts/dried fruit, brown sugar, honey, etc.). Everything I’ve eaten and drunk there has been really tasty. The Club could be a little better at being mindful of the events it has going on simultaneously. During one seminar there were members of another organization meeting in the next room, and they were quite loud, making it difficult for me to hear my seminar leaders. Also, during another seminar there was a worker in a room directly above us, apparently vacuuming, for the majority of the time we were there, which also made it difficult to hear. A comfortable four-star rating. Look into it as a location if you need to host a meeting or are interested in becoming a member of a new local community.
