Sami is also skilled in brazilian waxing. She is a quick and efficient hair removal specialist ensuring her clients feel relaxed during this process as well as performing the service with as little discomfort as possible.

Sami’s expertise extends to her thorough and flawless spa manicures, pedicures, and gel polish manicures. She has an art background which carries over into her meticulous application of nail and toe color.

When Sami Angelini arrived in CT seventeen years ago, she quickly established a strong manicure, pedicure and waxing clientele. Her attention to detail when treating her clients to one of her services, in addition to her warm & friendly demeanor, has kept them coming back for years. She is also a talented makeup artist and more recently, she has become known for her reputation for flawless makeup application using Motives Cosmetics custom blend mineral based foundation. She is a consummate professional and makes each client feel comfortable in her hands.

Sami has freelanced makeup for both MAC and Laura Mercier Cosmetics; gaining knowledge and honing application techniques during her years doing freelance work.

Included among Sami’s many esthetic forte’s is eyebrow shaping; she helps her clients establish the right eyebrow shape for their face, eyes, and life style and guides them through monthly upkeep. This clientele following has remained steady and speaks volumes of her talent!

I’ve since gone to a few other nail salons (even supposed «fancy» hotel spas) and it only proved that Sami is in fact the best around. I’ve never had a manicure better than hers! She treats it as an art, and her results prove her skill.

Sami is absolutely dynamic. Not only is she insanely talented at her work but she is a kind-​hearted, compassionate, hard-​working person. She has been doing my manicures/​pedicures/​waxing for nearly 2 years and I can’t imagine going anywhere else. Her attention to detail is superb; she takes a whole hour to perfect your manicure because she truly cares! :) Moreover, there have been several times that I’ve chipped my nails before I was due for a shellac and she’s managed to fit me into her packed schedule (read: she is quite popular, for good reason!) and fixed me right up. She uses the best products (CND shellac, CND vinylux, hard/​soft wax) and keeps her colors in constant rotation.
With advance notice (it takes her an extra 15 minutes) she will gladly put designs on your nails and/​or hook you up with a fierce glamour nail. She did so for my engagement photos, wedding, and birthday. For my wedding party, she allowed me to book her studio for 7 hours and my bridesmaids and I had a blast! We bonded over mimosas while Sami was diligently at work crafting phenomenal nail creations that got just as many compliments as our respective wedding/​bridesmaid dresses.
I noticed below there was a comment that questioned her techniques being hygienic — as a physician I find that absolutely ridiculous and unnecessarily critical! I have been regularly seeing Sami (every 10 – 14 days) for nearly two years and have never had an issue/​infection/​problem of that nature. She is meticulously clean/​sterile and keeps her salon organized.
TL;DR — I stand behind her work! She has a good heart, pours her soul into her flawless work, and will not disappoint! She is SPECTACULAR!

This is THE place to go for your beauty routine in the New Haven area. I became a regular in the past two years. Sammi does my manicure pedicure and waxing. She also does great make up for any ocasion.
She is very personable and stylish, very pleasant to be around. She takes the right amount of time to do everything perfect. She will go great lengths to please her regular clients, is very accomodating and easily understands and remembers your wants and needs.
Overall, i find her services extremely well priced, given the quality of the results and the amount of time she takes to get it done. She has no competition in the area.

I have been coming to Sami for over two years now, I love the ambience it feels like an oasis in my full life. Sammy is personable, bubbly and enjoyable. She is very meticulous and thorough. I have had her do manicures, pedicures, hair removal and make up; always fantastic and flawless! I highly recommend her.

Not hygienic — I was grossed out to see that the tools used on the customer before me were simply dumped into a huge jar of blue liquid and then used on me. Many people develop infectious from nail salons, and using proper sterilizing technique (via UV light or autoclave) is a must to keep from potentially landing in a doctor’s office or hospital.
–Addendum–
While flipping through in search of a nail salon open after work, I noticed a reviewer claiming to be a physician who wrote that it is «ridiculous» to comment on concerns over hygiene. Having worked as a primary care physician for the last 5 years, I’m amazed that someone who claims to be a physician would attempt to ridicule my comment. The number of abscesses I’ve lanced from manicures and pedicures using improperly cleaned tools, and the case of someone hospitalized in the intensive care unit for weeks after an infection from a manicure spread to her bloodstream and infected her heart valve are the things I’ve personally seen in only 5 years of practice. Please learn to be a little more respectful of other people’s comments.

Sami is great! I am so glad I found her! I frequently try out different salons to get my nails done, and I am usually disappointed for one reason or another (cleanliness, prices, paint job etc.) but not this time. Not only is she super talented in her work, but she is also so personable that you immediately feel like you’ve known her for years. This is undoubtedly the best place in New Haven to get your nails done. I will definitely go back to her and will recommend her to all of my friends.

Sami is wonderful. I had my nails done (shellac mani) right after I got engaged and received just as many compliments on my nails as my ring! I am pretty picky when it comes to my nails, especially with shellac since it will be on for so long. I truly appreciate how precise and detail oriented Sami is. Her space is beautiful and she has such a wonderful energy. I also loved that I was able to text her for an appointment. Now that I’ve found Simply Flawless, I won’t be going anywhere else for my nails.

I’m VERY pleased with Sami’s work. She is a perfectionist and takes great pride in her work. She does not do artificial nails, so if your ghetto fabulous with long artificial nails this is NOT the salon for you. She uses the whole CND line from the undercoat to the UV lights. She is a CND expert and very interested in the CND line. She has a beautiful shoppe that lets you forget that your in New Haven’s hustle and bustle. I suggest you park at the 360 Market. They validate for an hour. She does excellent work and she is very personable. She welcomed me in when my nails were brutally bitten and after a 5 star rated salon in NYC’s upper East Side filed my natural nails down to unhealthy. May God continue to bless her shop:}

Sami was trained as an artist — literally a painter — which explains why her work on nails is so above and beyond! Sami’s nails are exactly as described — I had the BEST gel manis from her of my life. They lasted twice as long as anyone else’s, at least. Well worth it!

Sami is amazing — she saved me in a wedding emergency. I got a shellac manicure done a week before my wedding at my regular spot in NYC, and already a couple of days later the color started separating and generally looking ugly (erm, that was the last straw, Dashing Diva on 88th street). Because we were already in CT for the wedding, I had to go by Unilocal reviews — and, am so so happy that Sami made the time! When I first texted, she made it very clear she was booked up — but, when I mentioned it was about my wedding, she actually switched her evening plans to be able to help me. In the end, she not only redid my nails (for what I thought was a very reasonable price), she also did my eyebrows and a friend’s nail polish… This was absolutely the best customer service one can expect — and my nailpolish lasted for three weeks. I am now going to try and time my manicures for my trips to New Haven… Sami’s that good.

I’ve been to Sami a couple of times for weddings and she is amazing. She takes her time and your nails look fantastic when she is done. She’ll suggest colors if you just aren’t sure. She is friendly and will have a conversation with you while doing your nails. None of that awkward silence. You’ll need to schedule an appointment but she is super easy to contact and schedule with. She runs the groupon and living social deals from time to time but even without a deal she is worth going to!

To begin with, I have had manicures and pedicures literally all over the world. Sami is the very best there is. No question about it. I really could go on and on… let’s just start with those ridges some women get on their nails. You could go to all the quickie nail salons you want, and you will still have them. Not with Sami. How about the smoothest feet on the planet. She is talented, professional, and a lovely person too.
Makeup…Sami did my makeup for my wedding. I had hired a fancy schamcy makeup artist from Westport. It was awful and Sami came to my rescue. She understands women’s skin and makeup needs of all ages. I am «a woman of a certain age», but she also did my daughter’s wedding. She was fresh and beautfiul.
Just go to her once, just once and you too will be spoiled.
P. S. Salon Lulu no so much. Sami simply rents space there.

I was visiting New Haven and my daughter suggested this place for a pedicure. I’m always a bit nervous trying a place away from home but it was perfect. The salon was very clean. The soak was in a large copper basin so I was not worried about any problems that you might find with the more traditional tubs. It is a one person business so an appointment is needed. Sami was quite comfortable to talk with and gave a terrific pedicure. My feet were very smooth and the polish was applied perfectly. It was a very relaxing session. I was going to get a brow wax too but she recommended against it (my brows are fairly sparse). Instead she filled them in for me with a brow pencil so I could see how it should be done. I would definitely come back here for a pedicure again.
