Lots of parking. Ticket window is only open during rush hours on the week days. The station building itself is also only open a few hours a day in the earlier mornings.
Not as cute as the other stations in the Orland area. Staff are nice and place is clean though.
They have books that you can barrow too.

Updating to four stars. They now have overnight parking. Just pay for how many days you want to park and put a note in the box reading how many days you are paying and license plate number.

It’s a very modestly sized train station for a rapidly growing town, but it gets the job done. The New Lenox metra station has plenty of affordable parking spots for commuters looking to take a ride north. The station’s ticket window is closed most days and times but it is staffed during peak hours. I would love for the inside of the station to be open during the winter months even when there is not an attendant on staff. Also, often ridders need to be prepared to move across the tracks as the oncoming train is moving towards them because the platform is rarely announced beforehand. I tend to have this problem the most with the express trains.

Small and quaint. I have only been here on the weekends, so I have not seen the ticket counter open or any coffee being sold, but I believe it exists! It is a small room with benches, and piles of all the unwanted books of commuters that pass through. Basic, but at least you have somewhere inside to wait for trains instead of having to stand out on the platform!

I used to ride this rail for over 2 years. It was always clean & friendly. The locals had an ongoing book exchange club in the waiting hut & they had a little coffee stand with some of the best java (the owner also supplies his java to the local library shop)! It was walking distance from an old friends’ house as well as from AJ’s bbq stop! There was also a fancy restaurant facing the station, which was fun people watch at night while I waited for my train
