I just have to say this was one of the best haircuts I’ve had in a very long time… Samantha cut and styled my hair and she gave me just what I was looking for I was more than pleased! The salon itself is decorated beautifully it had a warm friendly feeling very relaxed atmosphere I just loved everything! Thank you Samantha I will see you soon… Happy Holidays!

Sam has done my make-​up there and her work is AMAZING! She did exactly what I had wanted and the make-​up was merely identical to the picture I had showed her as reference. I highly recommend getting your make-​up done by her, and she airbrushed my face as well. She has also done my hair numerous times and I was always pleased. Thank you Sam!

I went there sometime last year to get highlights and color. BIG MISTAKE. The girl who did my hair put a filler in my red hair, which I found out two days later at the next hair salon I went to to fix my hair was the wrong thing to do. I left Danielles with hair that was still red, and highlights that were pink because the red bled into the highlights. Literally had rainbow hair, I wish I still had a picture to show. I learned the hard way that most places have groupons because business is bad. Probably the worst part was when the girl was blow drying my hair and she said something along the lines of «it isn’t so bad… you could deal with it for a month right?» Go somewhere else.

I’ve had my hair cut by several places over the years… Danielle’s Place is always CLEAN and staff is super welcoming!!! No one compares to the time and detail they take!!! AWESOME SALON!!!

I have been to Danielle’s Place twice for a simple cut and style. It has been a great experience every time, the stylists listen closely to what you want your hair to look like, and do their upmost to make your hair look it’s best. Great service and reasonable prices. Would recommend.

Staff is laid back and friendly, prices are great for the work that they do! It was busy but the girls handle everything well. They even offered a free deep conditioning treatment to someone who had to wait 15 minutes!
I felt very comfortable here and my haircut and highlights are exactly what I’d asked for! Looking forward to coming back.

I found Danielle’s Place through Groupon and am super happy after my haircut. I was lucky to get an appointment with Danielle herself! I was greeted warmly and Danielle found the best look for me. I already scheduled my next appointment to fix the disaster I’ve made with coloring my hair at home :-P

First time customer. Service was fast. My hair cut was great except my bangs were styled different then usual. Everyone was really friendly but I wish my stylist was more talkative.

In need of a drastic change in style, I turned to my fellow Unilocalers and found Danielle’s. What a cute place– very easy going, friendly vibe, quirky touches in décor that I loved, and none of that über-​stylish attitude that I find so intimidating in many salons.
Samantha cut and styled my hair and I love it– it’s exactly what I wanted and she patiently took her time styling until she was satisfied… and so was I. I’ve already booked a blowout for a party in a few weeks, and am planning to try highlights in the near future also.

Danille is amazing! Shes so sweet and has a great staff. We went there for a wedding. She opened the salon for my new sister-​in-​law (since they are closed on Sundays) The place was clean and stylish.
Even tho she used a lot of hairspray, my hair stayed soft and kept its curls for 2 days. (Curls never stay in my hair). I gave Danille a photo and she recreated it. The photos I have do not do it justice.
The make-​out came out amazing! She was so talented. I told her how I wanted to look (without a photo) and she did exactly that. It was airbrush foundation.
They have a groupon for new customers. Check it out. She gained a new customer. I will post photos of the haircut in the near future.

I love Danielle’s Place. I have shuffled around various hair salons for years, chasing a deal, and never really being thrilled. I definitely never found a place where I wanted to pay full price after the deal. Enter Danielle’s Place… I first visited with a Groupon, and I’ve been there four times now. Each time, Jenna has done a stellar job with my hair. It’s long and straight, which you would think would be a no brainer, but I have had lots of bad cuts in the past. She does a fabulous job, and she is a sorceress of color. She always knows just what I want from my (not too helpful) descriptions, and she really rescued me from the overall blondeness of consecutive highlighting by skillfully mixing in lowlights. I usually get a partial highlight (one step down from half), and you’d never know it’s not a complete job. Of course, I discovered this salon a few months before I moved from NM to JC, but I still make the trip up, because it’s totally worth it!

Really a beautiful salon, one of the nicer ones I’ve been in. The salon chairs are especially comfy! Lourdis gave me a beautiful blowout! Beautiful curls, volume, and even used a flat iron on top so the whole look was super polished! I could only wish my pin straight hair would stay looking like this all the time. When I had to wash it out, I was really sad! Def. recommend them for special occasions and nights out!

First time here as my regular Stylist (who I love) is dealing with medical issues.
Great Cut and color by Danielle (owner). She took the time to listen to me about where I’ve been with my hair and where I’m going. I also had my Eyebrows done by Samantha. Good but a little thinner than I like. Samantha also did a nice job on my Wash.
Though they do not carry J Beverly Hills Fragile Shampoo (best sulfate free shampoo extends the color and minimizes scalp irritations) they offered to order it. If they get the Fragile for me it makes it nice for a one-​stop-​shop. I will definitely come back.

I am so glad I found Danielle’s Place! I found them through Groupon, which offered a great introductory deal there. As with other Groupons, I didn’t know what to expect when I booked my appointment. Luckily, my experience was wonderful from start to finish. (Typically I don’t tell the business I have a Groupon until I absolutely need to in case they treat me differently because of it, so I think for people reading this, my review should be read as a normal first-​time client experience.)
It started off with very polite and accommodating booking: I gave them 4 days’ notice and they fit me right in at exactly the time I requested, 5:30pm on a Friday night. I was pleasantly surprised by their weekday hours so I didn’t have to leave work early to get there on time.
Once I got there, I noticed that the salon looks like it has recently been redone. I would say it is «Upper Middle» in terms of style and class: updated look, fancier and cleaner than most salons, but had a warm, personal feel and not an uptight uncomfortable ambiance.
It was so refreshing to arrive on time for my appointment and actually be taken right back on time! I didn’t even have to sit down. I don’t know if that’s normal for them or not, but I was nervous about what the cut would be like and appreciated not having to sit around and wait. The girl who washed my hair didn’t get water in my ears (woohoo!!). Jenna cut my hair and I think she did an amazing job! She was surprisingly gentle on my thick head of hair, and delivered exactly the look I wanted for a party the next day. My hair continued to look amazing throughout the whole weekend and I got lots of complements =-)
I have been trying to find a good salon in my area and struck out at the salons nearest to me in Rockland County. I finally feel like I found my salon: quality hair cuts and blow-​outs with friendly service.
