No appointment necessary and wait time for an oil change start to finish is a mere 20 minutes. I always bring a printed coupon to save $ 5 off the job but since I was out of printer ink at home I didn’t have it this time. The guy that runs all the payments not only recognized me as a returning customer (twice a year for the last three years) he gave me an automatic «regular» discount. They WILL try to up-​sell you on additional services, but you know your car best so don’t get suckered into additional maintenance if not truly necessary.

I have been bringing my car here for nearly 5 years. I can’t speak highly enough the service and quality of this location. In addition to regular oil changes, I also have had repairs done here (anything from minor electrical/​blow fuses to brake pad replacement). Even as early as the second time I went here they remembered me and my car and were so friendly and helpful. They are very honest and open to discussing exactly what’s wrong with my car, actually showing me the location and signs of the problem, and presenting me with options. As a woman, I never feel that I am being talked down to or taken advantage of. Actually just the opposite, I am always impressed by how friendly and accommodating the staff is. The one time they were not able to repair in the shop because it was a complicated electrical issue, they referred me to a trusted local shop and made sure my problem was fixed. I am so glad that this place exists and I can firmly say that they have my business forever. I highly recommend that you use their services as well.

Never going here again. Went in for a simple oil change and they tried telling me I needed transmission fluid replaced for $ 100+ dollars more because it looked really bad. I didn’t let them do it and I’m glad I didn’t because a month later when I took the car to a better shop they told me my transmission fluid was basically like brand new still. They were definitely scamming me.
Now, why was I in another mechanic shop a month later? Because someone here managed to break my oil pan when they were changing my oil and either didn’t notice or didn’t tell me (I’m not sure which would be worse really…) So, one night I’m driving less than a month later and my oil pressure light comes on because I’ve leaked out and I’m completely empty because of the piece they broke. Luckily I got pulled over before it bricked my engine and I was able to have it repaired by a more reputable establishment. Their negligence or ignorance in performing a basic oil change could have literally destroyed my engine.

If you value your life, stay away from this place. Came here for a break pads replacement and ended up having to tow my vehicle back to the shop after a couple of days. They did a terrible, unprofessional job fixing my car, so the brakes failed and the front wheels locked sending to car to a sudden halt. Fortunately, I was just leaving a parking lot when this happened, otherwise who knows what could’ve happened.
A towing truck brought my car back to the shop and they supposedly fixed their wrong doing. Regardless, I won’t ever be back or recommend anybody to come here.

I had my oil changed here today and was beyond impressed with their service. A mistake was made about what kind of oil my car needed (turns out it takes Synthetic) but I was quoted for the regular oil. Mechanic realizes after the oil has been put in the car that it’s not the right type. Let’s me know what’s going on and tells me that since it’s their fault I will be charged my original quote. I basically saved 50% bc there honest people. I will be going back to them in the future for sure!

This place is great! Just went for an oil change… live in the bywater… there and back in 45 min. No problem. V. Professional and affordable. Worked with one guy, Kenny, from pulling up to driving off. He informed me of additional services to consider without impressing upon me they needed to be done by them today. Will definitely go back!

This is the most convenient oil change place in my neighborhood and I have been going to them for oil changes for at least 3 cars (15 or more years!). They are fast enough (today’s adventure took about 45 minutes) and they offer several other services that I have, thankfully, never needed. Today they changed my oil & filter, topped off some fluids, made sure my tires had the right pressure and vacuumed my floor boards.
The lobby has a few chairs, a TV set on ESPN, and a soda machine for while you wait. I like supporting my neighborhood businesses. I also like sitting in the lobby and watching the parade of folks that are also supporting my neighborhood businesses. I had fun people watching while my car got her spa treatment.
The prices have jumped a bit recently, but if you go onto the website you can usually print a coupon for a few $$ off.

Women beware. I also went here to get a routine oil change and was given a high drama account of the multiple gaskets that had blown that needed immediate repair, for $ 700 +tax. My car was allegedly «leaking a Lot of oil», which I know for a fact was not true because it is rarely driven and not leaving any oil puddles, and it had been checked over several times the week previous (for another issue) by both my mechanic and AAA. After declining, and asking that they simply do the oil change for the time being, they came back with a lower figure claiming they’d made a mistake on the invoice. Right.
Another woman in the waiting room overheard the conversation and relayed that they had just attempted to swindle her for $ 500 +tax for break pads! Both of us were also heavily pushed into signing up for their Credit Card to cover the high charges. Afterward I took my car to my trusted mechanic, Will & Lenny’s, to be sure it was safe, and was informed that it is perfectly fine and Not leaking any oil. I advise anyone to steer clear of this Speedee or at least be forewarned– always get a second opinion on any «immediate» repairs that you didn’t know you needed.

I’m a Texas gal, but I’m stationed in New Orleans and I had no clue where to go… Google lead me to them. Thank you Google! Well long story short my truck needed a oil change. The guys that work here did not try to up charge me or try and persuade me to buy more expensive oil. In fact they wanted to save me money, by going with synthetic instead Mobile 1. They explained it to me and it made sense. The group of guys here are not threatening or offensive in any way shape or form. I felt safe… you know what I mean if you’ve visited New Orleans. I was greeted kindly and I was sent on my way with a smile. Great place!

Love this place. The owner is really nice. While the other workers might not be as friendly, everyone is straight forward, and you can tell they’re being honest with you. My husband and I know enough about cars to know everything they say is on point. We’ve been repeat customers for 3 years, and will continue to go there.

I gotta say I really like this place.
They did a bunch of maintenance shit to my shitty car, and I’d list it here but the receipt is out in said shitty car and it’s cold, so yall are just gonna have to wait till I remember to add in an itemized list. Anyway, it ended up being $ 315, which seemed pretty good for all the shit they did. I tipped 20 bucks because I actually really don’t know how to tip when you get a high-​mileage oil-​change, plus fluids checked, plus radiator flushed, plus filters changed, plus new wipers, plus whatever else. Anyway, they have a woman on staff and she knows what she’s doing. I like that. And she is straightforward and doesn’t condescend to you or dick you around. I like that too. That alone keeps me coming back, no matter what piece of shit I happen to be driving at the time.
It took a while, but I came in at like 4:30 on a Thursday. They have a TV, coffee, and lots of magazines to read, so I was able to amuse myself.
Oh and the owner ordered me a $ 26 gas cap, had it delivered, and gave it to me for free because the previous owner of the car I just bought put the wrong gas cap on it and it doesn’t fit. I guess the guy at Speedee felt sorry for me b/​c I drive a 10-​year-​old beat-​up Taurus I bought off my bartender, lol.
They were even cool when I went off on an f-​bomb filled diatribe about how much it sucks to be poor (you either don’t have a car, or you have to buy a shitty car that always needs expensive maintenance.).
So how much are you supposed to tip your mechanic anyway? I need to figure that out. Feel free to message me if you know how this works.

I don’t have much knowledge of auto mechanics, but wanted to weigh in and summarize what I feel was a great oil-​change experience.
I called Speedee at 3:30 on a Friday afternoon, they told me that they could squeeze me in for an oil change right away, so I hopped in the car and drove over.
I was in and out in less than 20 minutes, the mechanic who did the oil change was polite and helpful, he did a detailed checkup on the engine, and then showed me each component that he mentioned in his checkup.
The oil change was a little over $ 30, and I’ll definitely be back 3000 miles into the future!
