History

Established in 1923.

Woodward Design+Build was originally formed by Carl E. Woodward, an innovative New Orleans architect and early champion of the design-​build process. He believed in forging partnerships between the client, the architect and the contractor because he understood that the results would be successful buildings of exceptional quality with value built in at every stage. These results also led to satisfied clients who returned again and again, entrusting the company with their next projects.

The ideals of our pioneering founder live on with our integrated design-​build approach while the values he established for our company remain the cornerstones of Woodward Design+Build today.
