We are a locally owned and operated restaurant. McKenna’s Place started in Greenacres, Florida in 1997. We opened the New Smyrna restaurant in 2002.

Started my first restaurant in 1987 in a little town called Lake Worth, Florida. Mckenna’s New Smyrna Beach was opened in 2002 to allow me to be closer to my kids and wife. We love New Smyrna Beach due to the fact it is still a Old Florida town with great people and businesses. Stop by and say hello!

Nice environment, very pleasant service but the food was just ok. Had the shrimp Alfredo and the sauce was very watery as well as the scampi sauce. Also the coconut shrimp were undercooked when they first came out.

Awesome place, great food, and 24 beers on tap. We used to go to this family run place in Lake Worth many years ago and now it has moved to Port Orange. The Owner Chris still greets every Customer at the door with a genuine smile and makes you feel as welcome as if you were coming into his home.
We had the Chicken Wings, the Excellent Crispy Fish Sandwich, and tasty Philly Cheese Steak. Everything was top notch.
They have loads of televisions with a myriad of sports on them. Including the usual stuff I saw bowling, an antique car auction, girls softball, … you get the idea. Did I mention 24 beers on tap? LOL.
It is located inside the Park Place Plaza shopping center.

My families favorite local spot. A once a week must.
Mike the owner and the staff are awesome. They go out of there way to make sure my 3 year old daughter has her grilled cheese and French fries right away like in 5 mins from sitting down not kidding. Open late so it’s great for those late night cravings too. Just an all around great place.

Love this place! Recently moved to Deland, but anytime we get a hot wing craving, we make the drive to NSB! Servers are on point and food is A-MAZE– ING! Yup, I had to dramatically break down ‘amazing’. Its THAT good! The buffalo mooney salad is so delicious! The french onion soup is addictive. I could drink a gallon! The queso is perfect, not just microwaved Tostito dip. I have only 2 issues with Mckenna’s. 1. the crab legs my wife ordered were kinda skimpy and 2. There (sadly) isnt a Mckennas in Deland!

Me and my husband have been frequently going here and they have Great food. Love the environment and love to go here on sunday for football season. BUT the last 2 visits we’ve not been very lucky with our waitress. Its a small town and everyone knows everyone so I feel like we got pushed aside because our waitress was more involved in the bigger groups or friends she knew. We tip VERY well if the service is there and I feel like she may have judged us by our looks and thought we wouldn’t tip well so she felt maybe she shouldn’t make a big effort for us? I waited 15 mins (yes I timed it) for our waitress to come back after we received our food, so I could order another drink. She was more involved in her tables across the the room and the one table who had 3 people and 3 children RIGHT next to us and still ignored us. We had to ask a completely different waitress for our drinks, napkins and silverwear. She wasn’t too thrilled with her tip.

Went for happy hour, place is noisy but service fantastic. Waite staff work together and are so accommodating.

While visiting family in Edgewater, Daytona 500 week.
we went to McKenna’s.
We had such a good time, That we went twice.
All seven of us enjoyed both dinners
Food was delicious. Traditional Irish pub food. With good seafood.

Place was alive and packed both nights.

We stop and eat here EVERY time we go to New Smyrna beach. The food is delicious, the service is amazing and the atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed. The smoked fish dip is THE BEST you will ever eat! The children’s portions are very generous as well. We are faithful patrons when we are in town! I would recommend this place (and have) to everyone.

This place is legit! I work in the area and try to get here at least once a week. All food is good. If you come on Wednesday, get the shepherds pie. Any other day I get the Reuben.

Well, we go to sports bars to watch games, and eat burgers, fries, and wings, and have a cold beer. So did I.
Service was the most noticeable thing here. Not sure if this is always the case. The place was not too crowded. They always asked me if I needed something.
Not much to write about other than I had a McKennas burger with fries. I had well done. Fries were very very good. To improve, the bun was like out of the package, I would appreciate if next time they put it in the grill a little bit.

Great food great service. Fish sandwich has a lot of fish crooked to perfection. If you have room left You have to try the Peanut butter pie. Coffee is made to order and the have ½ &½ as well. They also have a 1&¼ lb Lobster for only $ 14.95 with 2 sides.

I got a whirlwind tour of New Smyrna’s array of sports bars (or, places to watch sports) on Sat, Feb 22, 2014 when my ball team was on the CBS Sports Network (subscriber-based station). None of the local bars had the channel but they all did try for me.
McKenna’s was the last stop, where we finally gave up and settled in for lunch.
The spinach salad with blackened chicken was more than satisfactory. My friends had, respectively, the cheeseburger and fries, and the buffalo chicken sandwich (a chicken patty with buffalo sauce). Staff were friendly even given my frustration at not finding my game on the TV.

Local Sports Bar not a bad place been here several times to meet friends for drinks. Lots of TVs to watch the games (Watched San Francisco beat Green Bay tonight :) oops did I smile. The food is okay nothing spectacular lots of fried choices they have clam and conch chowder or a mixture of each they call «swirl» not a fan but to each his /her own. Had a Reuben tonight the corn beef was fresh and hand craved it was a winner the wings are good not great but pass on the burgers. Tonight Beth was our server she was great no complaints on the service. I didn’t like the fact that they charge an extra fifty cent for a thimble full of ranch dressing this stuff must be fifty dollars a bottle some places don’t understand it’s not the price it’s the point. I will return I’m sure it’s close to home.

After spending some time at Canaveral National Seashore, we stopped at McKenna’s for lunch. We ordered a crabcake sandwich and a red fish sandwich. My fish filet was probably twice the length of the bun. My wife’s crab cake was excellent, not much filler at all. Service was very good and the staff was friendly.
