This place has been closed for years yet my wife and I still miss it. That is a positive review if Ive ever seen one. #chickenfingers #honeymustard

I can see that this place gets a lot of hate, and that’s just hatery. My bf and I went here last night for burgers before seeing a movie at Kips Bay, and we were both pretty satisfied with bacon cheeseburgers(he got a double) and more crunchy fries than any sane person could eat. For like $ 10/person. The burger came wrapped in paper, dripping with condiments, topped with crispy bacon, and the meat was just greasy enough to satisfy the greasy craving. It’s a quick, tasty fast-food style meal. It’s a step up from fast food chains. If that’s what you’re expecting, you’ll be pleased. Sometimes that stuff hits the spot. I mean, any place that offers the trifecta of burgers/cheesesteaks/Mexican(plus other things) isn’t going to master any one thing, but they do a pretty swell job of trying. I wouldn’t go out of my way for this place, but I’d def go back before the movies again.

FOODPOISONING!!! I have eaten here before and got the cheese steak because that’s what they advertise on their sign out front. It was OK. The other day I had a craving for buffalo wings and went there and ordered buffalo chicken strips. The guy gave me blue cheese in a salad dressing packet. I realized after a few bites that it was warm and the back of the package said keep refrigerated. The strips were kind of gross and I think I have a mild case of food poisoning as I have not been feeling well for the rest of the week, you know the rest of the symptoms.

This isn’t the worst option when you’re bar crawling up 3rd avenue, but I don’t think I’d go here sober. I wouldn’t seek it out, but it’s a drunk option if you’re nearby. It’s in the immediate vicinity of a few bars, so I imagine that’s why folks go here. The cheesesteak is subpar, but the place was empty on a Saturday night, so there was no line., so there’s that.

Three words — CHILICHEESEFRIES. Philly steak here is subpar, bordering on tasteless and hardly compares to Charlys :(Cheeseburgers are decent, but take FOREVER to make. Sometimes you wonder what the hell they’re doing in the kitchen. But yeah. Chili cheese fries. They’re so good they bring tears to my eyes. Still can’t beat Charlys, my FiDi staple :)

The only safe food here is a regular bean burrito. I call it in and pick it up so I can escape the irritated cashier and the«are they even MAKING my food?» feeling. But yeah — bean burrito. It’s fat. And make sure they give you the free salsa and sourcream… sometimes they forget.

The cheese they put over absolutely everything is absolutely disgusting –it’s worse then Cheese Wiz, it’s more than just processed it’s also putrid… The fries are really bad… The hamburger buns are stale and the hamburger meat itself seems frozen then thawed, I wouldn’t recommend ordering it medium-rare or rare — as a matter of fact I wouldn’t recommend ordering it at all… The burritos are filled with ingredients that’ve been sitting around too long, somehow all the indidual flavors are completely lost… The service is extremely slow and not friendly… A friend of mine lives right above this place, so whenever we’re hanging out and too drunk to get go get food ourselves he somehow always manages to talk me into having us order takeout from this place, so I’ve tried pretty much everything and it’s all bad…

I’m pretty sure they melt gold and add it to the vegetable oil because its the only way I can see them justifying the prices on food that needs no skill in preparing. They take forever to serve you’re shit and practice that annoying tactic of giving you an order number even if you’re the only person in the joint. People behind the counter seem to be relatively brain dead as well. I don’t really give a shit about the service though, because it tends to be worth the wait when you know what you’re getting. If you’re ready to feast on grease, then a burger here is gonna blow your melon. Portions are ridiculous and make up for a bit of the price on some things but overall you better be ready to finish you’re shit or I’m going to do it for you. Some of the stuff here reminds me of my cafeteria food like the Fried Chicken and Curly Fries, but that’s actually a good thing. Just be ready for the oil field that may form on your face.

This place has the most delicious fries! Since we stopped eating at fast food restaurants, these fries are the next best thing. Of course fries are bad for you, but these are just sinfully delicious! A real treat for the weekend! During the week, we get their veggie burrito for dinner, and save half for our lunch for the next day. The burrito always tastes better the next day for some reason. When ordering, we always leave out the sour cream, and ask for brown rice with whole wheat wrap, and it’s no extra charge! Last year, when we were meat eaters, we used to get their buffalo chicken wings, and they were delish! Very yummy when you feel like pigging out one weekend. Really hits the spot! The mozzarella sticks are not that bad. Ziggiz is great for those bar hopping kids, especially late at night.

They serve great hangover food and are open til the wee hours of the night. Too bad when I ordered a steak burrito, they stuck philly cheesesteak(aka steakumm meat) into my burrito. FAIL. –Double Burger($ 7.45) [w/bacon & cheese] — 12oz, they also offer a triple(bypass) @ 18oz($ 9.65) and a Home Run(Heart Attach) @ 24oz($ 11.65) — nothing special –Steak Burrito($ 6.45) — all Burritos are Packed with Rice, Beans, Jack & Cheddar Cheese, Pico de Gallo, Sour Cream & Salsa. Add Guacamole for $ 1, GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!! raves about their fries though…

my usual ziggiz order is chili cheese fries with a cheeseburger on the side. yes, you read that correctly. why is the cheeseburger on the side? because i come here for the chili cheese fries. everything else is a garnish. and if you haven’t had them, then you just don’t know.

If you are drunk, this should be your destination. That ginormous chicken burrito never disappoints. I even came here once when sober. I had a single steak taco. It was tasty. Stick to the Mexican items on the menu… stop giving this place 1 star.

I was drunk, it was late and Ziggiz was close. It was the most disgusting pizza I have ever ingested. I only did so out of sheer desparation. Please do not eat here. Please. I wish I could forget about it, but I dont think I ever will.

I don’t know why I keep seeing people rave about their supposedly superb buns. It’s a goddamn bun guys. If the filler ain’t great, no goddamn bun is gonna make me want Ziggis. If it weren’t for my late night hunger pangs, I wouldn’t order from this place. I’ve since stopped once I remembered Wendy’s was open late nights too. Though I get a healthy portion of beef each time, I wouldn’t say this place is good value for money because their cheesesteaks are expensive. My cheesesteaks(with mushrooms) are always delivered soggy, greasy, and bland. My boyfriend ordered their homerun once. Lots of beef. But greasy. Their cheesy fries are tasty though. But again, greasy. I think my heart stopped beating a little after having some. I was surprised to see a steady flow of med students eating there once. Looked like it wasn’t their first time there either. Can’t say if they’re alive anymore. If there’s any reason why this place is still around is that they’re open late nights and are next to a bunch of bars filled with potential drunk customers who won’t know the difference between filet mignon and paper.

I’m not so sure about the rest of the menu, but the cheese fries are totally rockin’. They’re large portion for a low price. When you get them to go they put the sauce on the side so they’re not soggy when you get home. I think they’re open pretty late. I recall seeing a sign that said open 24 hours, but I’ve heard otherwise. As far as I know delivering doesn’t stop in the wee hours.

I love Ziggiz for a quick bite. They’ve got a decent menu list and the food is filling and yummy. I generally prefer to stick to their Mexican menu items(burritos, tacos, quesadillas) but I’ve tried the chicken sandwich and philly cheese steak and they were both good too. Their nachos are pretty wimpy though — nothing on ‘em and just a small side of fake cheese. Prices are decent.

Ordered out here once while at a friend’s watching football… I think next time I would do my best to encourage ordering elsewhere. At my friend’s encouragement I ordered a cheesesteak. I understand from eating Pat’s/Geno’s countless times in Philly that a perfect cheesesteak is a) greasy and b) slightly soggy, but Ziggiz took both of these to the extreme. Unsavory. If I were going to order from here again, I’d go for the chicken fingers, which my friend had. They weren’t nasty.
