Gramercy Natural Frontier Market

This place has an amazing selection of organic products that I can usually only find online, but I found the staff truly hinders the business.
I called to ask if they had aloe vera, as all health food stores do. The employee said no and hung up. Desperate and sunburnt, I went to check anyway– and they had multiple kinds! Overall the staff was very uninterested in helping the customers– haven’t gone back since.

My favorite grocery store in Manhattan. The people who work there are so nice and knowledgeable. Its the only place in Manhattan that I really trust has certified organic food (well and the 4^th Street coop). They have a great selection. I skip my local place and head on over here instead.

We are regular customers of this health food store. As for selection and quality, it’s a clear 4 stars. As for customer service, it’s a zero.
The staff is soulless and clueless. We were there tonight and purchased something from their salad bar. It came to $ 4.60. I handed them my credit card and Aladdin, the manager, told me that it was a $ 5 minimum for credit cards. I told them that I didn’t have enough cash and that’s all that I have.
Aladdin proceeds to tell me to go to an ATM.
Aladdin sees me there everyday, and I spend about $ 1,500 a year at this store. Never again.
This is becoming the norm in NYC. I will now only give my business to establishments that choose to treat customers with loyalty, honor and respect.
Do yourself a favor and stay away from these ungrateful bastards. There are more than enough health food stores in Manhattan who actually covet your business.

Es gibt richtig gute Gemüsesäfte und Coconut Smoothies, werden frisch vor der Nase zubereitet. Zudem kann man sich hier für New Yorker Verhältnisse ganz gesund ernähren, nicht alles Bio wie der Name vermuten lässt, aber viel Gemüse, Tofu, Sojabohnen, gegrillter Fisch usw. zum in die Box einpacken und mit ins Hotel nehmen. Ziemlich teuer aber das gilt für ganz NYC.

I love this store. People are nice, they have what I like. I appreciate their bulk organic grain/​bean section… soy yogurt, etc etc…

this grocery store contains many goodies for the vegetarian/​vegan in all of us. although a bit pricey, you do walk away feeling like you helped the same people. they have pretty good sales, which is one of the only times i buy products from here. they have a hot bar, juice bar at the back. and after 8:30P, the hot bar is 50% off.
my favorite snack item– the veggie jerky. i love it.

I’m not sure what possessed me to go in this place aside from my constant pursuit of vegan pastries. It doesn’t look much different on the outside from most other small green markets in the city but my love was cemented when I discovered an assortment of vegan muffins and cookies in the back near the salad bar. While it would have been even more exciting if they had been fresh, the price made up for that. $ 1.50 for a huge, let alone vegan, muffin is enough to make me stop by every morning regardless of the celophane. From what I could tell the other quality vegetarian and vegan goods were relatively reasonably priced as well so stop in and check it out.
