The saddest part about leaving NY was losing Aiesha as my Accupuncturist. I’ve attended sessions with other practitioners but Aiesha knocks it out of the park. I really love how much time she spends understanding your health history and overall condition. She deeply understands the mind body connection. I find her approach to be exemplary and unique. Also, my condition improved a great deal in a short span of time. I hope to book a session whenever I’m back in town.

I visited Aiesha about 20 times over the course of a year. I’ve been very stubborn when it comes to getting treated for various ailments but I had some muscle issues in my back that had made life unbearable. I had pain stemming from the bottom of my skull all the way down to the lower middle of my back. The pain was on both sides and at times I couldn’t move my neck or arms.
I was very skeptical of getting treated but having tried most everything else and see no results I finally gave in to a friends advice and tried acupuncture. I found Aiesha on Unilocal and on my first visit she listened intently to what I had to say. After an hour or so of her sticking me with needles it was over and I must say it was the first time I felt any type of release.
In my experience it was amazing how it offered immediate release for the pain I was in but also the repeated use made the entire injury seem to subside. I am now a fan of acupuncture and would/​have recommend Aiesha to anyone wanting to give it a try.

Incredible! A savior! I was stressed at work to the point that I had excruciating pain in my shoulders and could not move my neck. I did research and found Aiesha. The first session made a world of a difference and now I’m hooked. Aiesha is kind and has a gentle touch, her office is clean, refreshing, and welcoming.
I have recommended several friends to her and usually see her on a regular basis sometimes just because it is so calming to have a session.

I came to Aiesha after three months of terrible lower back pain + high daily dose of pain killers and had the most amazing experience! Not only she was willing to accept me after hours, she took the time to explain her method so I knew what to expect, she advised on some excersise, and off course treated my back and shoulders. I was sore for the rest of the night and early next morning but well into the day the pain just vanished and I have not taken a single pain killer today. Add to that the fact that she is a nice and compassionate individual who operates in a super pleasant environment — a visit to her is just short of a miracle

I was on day 6 of a really rough streak of migraines. Out of desperation I began to look for treatment alternatives to the cocktail of medications I had been taking, and I came across acupuncture. Aiesha was very highly recommended on Unilocal,so I called her at 4 pm and told her about my migraine saga. She saw me THAT NIGHT at 9 pm! I’m so thankful she did.
As a first timer to acupuncture, I was a bit nervous. But Aiesha was incredible! So caring and so passionate about what she does. Her office is peaceful and the smell of lavender and peppermint perfusing the space puts you at ease almost immediately.
Aiesha was very professional and she really made me feel at ease– I wish I had come to her sooner!
Today (next day) I FINALLY don’t have a pounding migraine, and I have her to thank for that. I will definitely be returning, and I cannot recommend her highly enough.

My new go-​to place for acupuncture. My previous spot had a set-​up where everyone was in the same room receiving their treatment and I felt like trying something different after the latest debacle with my back. So I tried Aiesha, and absolutely loved it. The space is great — I really prefer the private room to the community set-​up. The bed (table? whatever you call it) was heated. Heated. I felt like Marty McFly discovering some crazy new invention in the future. Aiesha is cool as hell — makes you feel really at home and at ease. She spends a lot of time and attention going over what is bothering you and ways you can help yourself — simple stretches and things like that. And as she’s doing the treatment, she explains exactly what she’s doing and how it’s going to feel. She strikes the perfect balance of making sure you’re all good and leaving you be to relax and enjoy the treatment. And most importantly, one treatment did wonders for my back. I will definitely be returning and I highly recommend Aiesha for anyone looking to get acupuncture.

I came to Aiesha several months ago discouraged about a bulging disc in my neck and supertight shoulders.
I’d been through the ringer of physical therapists, orthopedists and chiropractors, only experiencing temporary relief for short bursts of time.
Within one session, Aiesha lowered my shoulders and decreased pain and stiffness by at least 50%.
She is a true professional, investigating the root of any and all ailments and gives knowledgeable advice.
On top of that, she is one of the warmest people I’ve met in NYC limits, offering talk therapy during your treatment that many would happily pay for.
I can’t recommend her enough.

Aiesha is a world class acupuncturist with a special gift for healing. I began going to her over three years ago when I was looking to reduce my teeth grinding. After just one session I experienced immense relief. I have returned over the years for help with other conditions and Aiesha has always managed to help me tremendously with whatever ailed me.
Best of all is Aiesha’s marvelous personality. She exudes a warmth, intelligence and passion that make her such a pleasure to work with.
Her office is serene and comfortable; some of my most peaceful moments have occured there.

I can’t say enough great stuff about Aiesha and her acupuncture practice. She is patient, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and a wonderful healer. I’ve been going there for the last year due to systemic immune system issues and I’ve had great results. Her new space is relaxing and beautiful and I love how well she listens to my body/​my concerns. If you’re considering acupuncture for any reason at all this is the place!

I should premise this post by saying that I am extremely picky and have particularly high expectations for my healthcare providers. I’ve been going to Aiesha for over one year for neck/​/​back as well as elbow pain. Her amazing knowledge base and unsurpassable quality of service really puts her on a level of her own. Without getting too deep into my specific case, I would strongly recommend Aiesha for the following reasons:
–First and foremost, she is an amazing acupuncturist. She brought my back/​neck pain from a level ⁸⁄₁₀ (almost unbearable) to pain-​free!
–One of the most genuine and caring people I have ever met. This point is even more important if you have been treated by other top-​tier acupuncturists or chiropractors. With Aiesha, you never need to deal with any pretention or arrogance. She is the modest consumate professional.
–Reasonably priced, superior service.
–She lets you make and confirm reservations via text message. This is big.
–Beautiful office with spacious and luxurious acupuncture tables.
Honestly couldn’t give her higher marks!

Aisha is brilliant. So thoughtful and compassionate, she’s as much a therapist as an acupuncturist due to her incredibly positive attitude and concern for her clients. Thoroughly recommended.
Accupuncture ended up not being for me — for the particular ailment I was looking for help with — but I really appreciate Aiesha so much that I’ll give her 4 stars either way.

Aiesha is the best! In any category! She is sweet, she is attentive, and best of all she is super knowledgeable about her field and it shows in the way she works. I recommend her to anyone looking into their first adventure into acupuncture. I was weary at first but she made me feel comfortable and relaxed from the start. I feel incredible EVERY time I leave her office and she is the ONLY acupuncturist I will recommend wholeheartedly. She is gifted and loves what she does, and it radiates through her incredible personality. I’ve been going for close to 6 months but feel like her and I have known each other for years. Its all about personal service, and she is the absolute best when it comes to that!

Aiesha is phenomenal to work with in every way. I initially contacted her to work on chronic stomach pain, but have since gone to her for severe colds, headaches, and back pain. Aiesha is incredibly warm and energetic, which makes it a pleasure to go in for treatment, even when you are not feeling well. Her demeanor makes it easier to discuss all of your symptoms. Aiesha is an excellent listener and will ask many follow-​up questions to ensure that she is on the right track for your treatment. Every visit has been perfectly tailored to what is currently going on in my body, but she has an excellent recall of what has been worked on in the past. She takes diligent notes during every visit.
Most importantly, her treatments work. Every issue that I have come to her with has improved consistently, or in the case of headaches and back aches, ceased immediately following acupuncture. In addition to acupuncture, Aiesha uses herbs, oils, and nutritional counseling for a more comprehensive approach to symptoms if necessary.
I highly recommend seeing Aiesha if you are even remotely considering acupuncture. She is a wonderful person and acupuncturist!

I have seen several physicians and specialists for chronic foot pain that has not been diagnosed or alleviated. After only a few weeks of seeing Aiesha, I am seeing signficant progress in the pain. Not only is she a skilled acupuncurist, but she is empathetic and sincerely interested in my symptoms and progress. Her treatment not only impacts my pain, her energy is infectious and improves my mood as well! I would highly recommend Aiesha for whatever ails you.

Dr. Aiesha Abel, isn’t your typical acupuncturist, she surely loves what she does and it’s incredibly determined to help you out with all roots of your problems. Wether they are migraines and even sinus infections. She’s very professional and knowledgeable. I would recommend her to anyone, even if you are just looking to get rid of a cold.

I came to see Aiesha when I had a severely stiff neck. She fit me in her schedule and I am SO glad she did. Not only was she extremely knowledgeable and did a thorough walk through with me of my medical history, but she was extremely gentle and explained everything very clearly to me as I had never had acupuncture before. Beyond the acupuncture she also took the time to talk to me about nutritional information that could help my food allergies which I greatly appreciated. I left feeling amazing and I am so thankful that I found her. It is evident she loves her work and she’s just a caring person all around. She made me feel so much better and I look forward to visiting her in the future.

My husband has been seeing Aiesha for years, but I am just now affording myself the pleasure of letting her stick needles into my body. I honestly cannot figure out why I waited so long.
Aiesha is amazing. Warm and passionate about what she does. She listens and is insightful without prying or being pushy. She truly makes you feel like you are her one and only client. She has treated me for stress, stomach issues and neck pain, all with amazing results. Even my husband, a «Western medicine» kind of guy, acknowledges that she is incredible at what she does, which in his case was curing debilitating back pain that even the «most knowledgeable back doctors in NY» couldn’t relieve.
I recommend her without reservation for whatever ails you. She is extremely flexible and offers plenty of appointment times after general work hours.

I’ve never really been interested in getting acupuncture… something about needles all over my body just didn’t sound appealing.
But then one of my closest friends finished her license and asked if she could treat me. I’m not one to NOT be open to new experiences… and so, I agreed… needles and all.
As I mentioned, this is a friend of mine. But of course, in the acupuncturist-​client relationship, things are a little different. After all, she’s got needles! No seriously, Aiesha was amazing — and really, very professional. She was comforting in telling me exactly what she was going to do (that’s big with me, with all of my «doctors» — I need to know what they are doing) and how I was going to feel. I was a little bit more sensitive than some other clients, so she just switched to a smaller needle. The whole time, also educating me with which chi/​points each body part was associated with and the connections that were being made as my pathways were clearing up.
I will have to say the session was really amazing. Once all the needles are in, you stay for 20 minutes — just laying there. The ambience Aiesha creates is wonderful — beautiful, relaxing music and a really cozy space to let your thoughts go wherever they are meant to go.
For me, acupuncture is really spiritual. It took me to a place where I was able to feel from the inside out, rather than the outside in. Quite beautiful… and actually, really hard to fully describe in words.
I know everyone has a different reaction… and I know there are all different reasons why people go — my treatment was for focus and balance. But, it’s proven to help in so many other areas of life.
I say, give it a shot if you’re curious. It’s worth the experience… and Aiesha is really wonderful, not only as a friend, but seriously — as an acupuncturist.
Her fees are low too — $ 80/​session. You won’t get such professionalism and skill for that price.
