Description

Specialties

While any number of factors drive people through the doors of AKT (weight loss being chief among them), there’s one reason why they come back: Because being there feels good. The AKT approach will change the way you feel in body, mind, and spirit – and ultimately determine what your life feels like. It is trend and torture free, never boring, no plateaus, no green instructors, with no intimidation factor! Are there any better reasons than that?

History

Established in 2013.

When Anna opened AKT in Fall 2013 on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, she’d already spent years staring into the blank faces of gym members – and knew she wanted to do something different. The result is a fad-free zone dedicated not just to fitness, but to lifestyle: a full-spectrum, amenity-rich, and community-minded mecca for movement, and the place is filling up – fast.

Meet the Business Owner

Anna Kaiser M.

Business Owner

A celebrated fitness authority and elite personal and celebrity trainer (Shakira, Kelly Ripa) with a background in professional dance and sports medicine, Anna Kaiser’s diverse background, vigilance to client needs, and unremitting passion for fitness and helping others, are just a few of the qualities that set her apart. Now, through AKT, Anna combines all of her years of expertise in performance and training to create a cross-training technique that incorporates the best workouts available (dance, HIIT, strength training, flexibility) in the most effective, efficient and fun way. After years of personally bringing these services to clients in New York City, Connecticut and the Hamptons, Anna is now making her trademark technique available through AKT. Luxurious without being pretentious, the space exemplifies the AKT approach to fitness: never judgmental, always results-orientated, and seriously fun.
