Great shop and nice Silver Age and back issue selection. They have a lot of the newer releases too. I’m not a collector of cards but they’ve got a pretty good selection from what I’ve seen Baseball, Basketball and other sports cards. This reminds me a lot of the local neighborhood comic stores I used to visit when I was a kid. The staff is awesome. Stephanie who’s always there when I visit is real helpful and friendly and great for talking shop about current happenings with new releases.
Definitely recommend visiting this shop if you’re in the neighborhood. I wish I could of found this place sooner. I hear the older location was a lot bigger, would of been great to check it out.

This is a wonderful store! Great selection of merchandise for both the sports and comic collectibles fans. I’ve been a big fan of Alex’s MVP for years and always enjoy my conversations with the owners who are knowledgeable, friendly and fun to boot. Check it out!

Great comic and Cards Store with the nicest staff and a large collection of new comic books. This unique store gives its neighborhood a nice flavor.
When you simply place your first step in to the store, it’s as if though you’re entering a different dimension where everything is surreal. My heart was dying of joy when I found what I wanted… a Fernando Valenzuela rookie card. This made my day.

I am trying hard to contact Unilocal to get two reviews removed. One has despicable language and the another never happened to that person. How Unilocal can even allow someone to use that word is deplorable, not to mention the fact it was never used

Great neighborhood shop. The only one of its kind on the UES. The owners are always friendly and helpful. I used to go to their previous location on East 89th street but now since they moved to York ave. its even more convenient for me.

This place is a little gem. It’s a tiny little store but it reminds me of the card stores that I went to in my youth. If you go here, you go here for a small trip down memory lane and a few packs of sports cards which since I was 18 years old has gone up in price by almost 20X, crazy…
