Lots of sushi options everywhere in the city, but Sushi Suki is the rare meeting of fantastic fish and affordable prices. Their sashimi bento box is 20 bucks and comes with enough food to sate even the most ravenous among us. Twelve pieces of tuna /salmon too. Great cuts of fish, some creative roll options that don’t go too far afield, interesting sake selections, a cozy atmosphere that is rarely super crowded, we love this place. It’s a nice refuge from the bustle. In fact… Don’t come here. It’s mine. You can’t have it.

This place is OK. Nothing amazing or worth travelling for, but if you’re wanting to switch up your sushi routine, give it a go. Shrimp Shu Mai– Pretty tasty giant shu mai. There are actual shrimp in here which is good news. Miso Soup– Didnt know this could go wrong, but soup is super watery. skip it. Tiger Roll– The star. Very yum. Rainbow Naruto– Pretty good as well Yellowtail Jalepeno– almost like a salad its so crunchy Salmon Avocado– standard

Ordered delivery twice in one week — super quick service. The food is fresh and good — orders are always done right and the price is normal. Their lunch deals are great too and extend to 3:30pm, perfect for late lunch/early dinner.

Good sushi but they keep messing up the our order and there was only one other table and us in the restaurant. We ordered crispy duck roll as appetizer and it was not crispy and super spicy, we wondered if it was even what we ordered. Correct that, we know we got the wrong order. I had spider maki, pretty good but needs more eel sauce. My husband got the monster and king roll, good.

Spicy tuna rolls not spicy and crunch mixed inside them was soggy. Salad is comprised of only lettuce for $ 3.75. I’ve had better sushi at supermarkets.

The suki roll is the best dish I ever had. It was my second date with my Asian friend. We had a distasteful experience at the first place. I kept my head in the game plan and showed that I can stay patience. The make up part two went fabulous. Thanks so much for making so much easier.

You people are mad. Place is sub-par at best. Seafood soup was terrible. ¼ of a scallop, 1 shrimp, a fake piece of crabmeat and a tiny piece of some white fish. You can gauge how bad a place is by how cheap they are. All rolls were sub-par too, chewy seaweed, not«fresh» tasting at all. Just pretty terrible. Wasted 40+ plus bucks on dinner tonight. Spicy scallop roll for $ 7 is ok, but still not fresh.

Very consistent quality and great value. My favourite Japanese in the UES. They have some unique dishes and everything I have ordered has been delicious.

Best lunch or dinner under $ 10.00 on the Upper East Side… Snow crab salad with tempura flakes, cucumber, tobiko, and eel sauce – add a side of rice. When I discovered their crab was so fresh I became instantly addicted. Try it! Now! (For overall review of Suki see previous.)

Great place for quick sushi! I come here multiple times a week and have never been disappointed and the staff is kind and amazingly helpful. Order the Undercontrol roll(shrimp tempura wrapped in rice and seaweed topped with spicy tuna), the chicken tempura roll, or the tempura ice cream. All divine!

I’ve ordered from here a few times. The food is good and fresh; they have a good selection of rolls and their dinner bento boxes are good. the place is clean and the staff is nice. i would order from here again. I gave it 4 stars because they messed up my order once and their prices are a little high.

Wow! Contrary to the name — the sushi wasn’t suki at all! Excellent, fresh and great service. Try the Uni!

Took a chance and ordered sashimi delivery. Very fresh and my husband, who is a not a big sushi guy found something good too, he enjoyed the non sushi rice dish and I enjoyed my super fresh sashimi. Our go-to delivery spot.

We were a fan of this small local restaurant up until a pattern of continual bad service over the course of several visits changed our view. LONG waits for food. Tables going uncleared and a focus on the delivery/takeout program over the guests in the dining room. Throw in tempura cooked in greasy dirty oil and that makes for the final straw. I do not think we can chalk this up to ‘bad day’. Lastly… bring extra layering on a cold day. It is freezing in there.

I came here on a weekday for their lunch specials(love lunch specials). It was pretty quiet. The only other people were some middles school students which was a bit odd in the middle of the day, but to each their own. My friend and I both got the bento box lunch special for $ 10. It comes with 4 california rolls, 2 shumai, salad, soup and your choice of entrée with rice. I got the salmon teriyaki and it was delicious. Just the right amount of tenderness and sauce. They didn’t give very many onions with it like some other places which could be good or bad. At the end I guess it would have been nice if there was a little more food, but for $ 10, it wasn’t bad. My friend got the shrimp tempura box and it came with 2 – 3 giant fried shrimp, along with some fried yams and a broccoli. She seemed satisfied with the amount she got. Food came out quick and service was attentive(took dishes away right when they were finished). This is a good place to try for lunch.

Love this place, my go to sushi place in the neighborhood. I love their dinosaur egg and their crunchy crunchy special. Their bento boxes are super filling and their lunch specials are around $ 11 which include a miso soup and salad. Service is really good. Staff are friendly. And it’s clean. Fish is always fresh. Will always come when I crave sushi in this neighborhood, I love sushi suki and poke for a change of scene :)

The sushi here was delicious and very fresh, the waiters were extremely welcoming and kind, and were very well-spoken. Although the place is small, the awesome sushi makes up for it.

Excellent value for the money. I’ve had many of the specialty rolls, much of the sushi. The place is intimate, 2 rows of tables. I would suggest dine-in or take-out if possible. Delivery has been hit or miss(but sushi usually is…) People tend to downplay this place because, «…the sushi isn’t expertly cut,» «…the [sushi] is Americanized», etc. but to be honest I think New Yorkers get a bit anal when it comes to sushi. It’s not Sushi of Gari. It’s not trying to be. It’s honest, fresh, simple sushi/sashimi done well and it’s certainly the best I’ve had around the neighborhood. Their lunch specials are a spectacular value: bento boxes are 10 $ and come with entrée, 4 pc CA roll, shumai, rice, salad, soup. Extensive roll selection(so if you’re a nigiri purist, look elsewhere) — the Lion and Lobster Rolls are both good bets.
