Its okay. Its a long way from the train. And ten bucks for a chefs hat. Small place but I had to get the hat for work.

If you need scrubs in a hurry, go here. Prices are probably on par with Amazon but these you get today. Service was fine. It’s just looking at scrubs so there isn’t a ton for them to do but they were nice. The biggest problem was that the scrubs were not always organized appropriately by size and color which is annoying when you are trying to find a matching set of pants and top.

If you are a nursing student, this is a very convenient place to find scrubs, watches, socks, you name it! They provide many brands and colors for scrubs. You can find Nurse Mates shoes, so it was a very helpful store to buy from! The ladies attending me very nice. It’s a little pricey, but definitely worth the money. They don’t accept refunds, exchanges only. That is the only negative comment I have on this store.

Hesitant on coming here because of all the negative reviews and I usually order my scrubs online. But my next travel assignment requires a uniform: white top, and royal blue pants. B&R has a surplus of scrubs! All colors, all sizes and all brands. The worker there was awfully helpful. She asked what I was looking for my response–«white top and royal blue cargo pants. The cheaper the better.» She delivered. I actually find these scrubs to be cheaper vs the online stores AND I prefer to support the local business.

Great store. I’ve been to OK Uniform, where really friendly staff helped me to find my size, but not so many selections for my size. You better visit their website for better choices. Then I went to B&R next. B&R has great selection & sizes, especially Petite sizes. Shop staff also was really nice and showed me variety of scrubs they have. I bought 2 scrub pants & I’m very happy with my purchase. I will come back to B&R again :)

I created a Unilocal account just to review this store. Please DONOT give them business. I bought two pairs of scrubs from here and an overpriced labcoat, coming to a total of over $ 110. When I took the labcoat out of the bag at home I realized there were three dirt stains and a small blood stain on the pocket. I was completely disgusted and brought it back to exchange, which they did. A few days later I found out that I needed a different color scrubs than I had bought, so I called to see if I could exchange them even though I no longer had the receipt, which I had accidentally left on the counter of their store when returning the soiled labcoat. I hadn’t worn the scrubs at all and still had the tags. The woman on the phone was extremely rude and told me that she remembered me returning the labcoat and there was no way the stains had been there, and that they were my fault. Well, unless they line their plastic bags with dirt and blood, I don’t see how that’s possible since I hadn’t even worn it or taken it out of the bag. In short, rude employees, horrible customer service and return policy. Never going back.

I use B & R Uniforms as a vendor for costume design, and they could not be a better source. Indira is my go to gal, and she always makes sure I have what I need and offers suggestions to fulfill my design. If something is not in stock, she will have it ordered for me to arrive the next day. I recommend!

Do yourself a favor and avoid going here, there are places like OK Uniform which are better all around. Their return policy is awful. I recently bought shoes here and tried to return them a few days later, but I couldn’t even get store credit because they were«worn.» I wore them around the house for a bit to see if I actually felt comfortable in them, in which I didn’t, because they were terrible shoes. I would have made a better decision if the staff was at all helpful. The staff doesn’t want to be bothered with you at all or answer any of your questions. If you ask them if they have something else in stock in a different size, they will be noticeably very bothered that they need to go check downstairs. I give business’ poor feedback like this very rarely, but I can’t respect a place that has such poor, poor customer service.

I went to B&R because I was looking for some basic nursing scrubs. I am a 5’5″, 140 pound woman; I don’t usually struggle finding clothing in my size. However, B&R has so little inventory that I was not able to find both pants and a shirt in the same color which both fit me. Most of the smalls were too small, and the mediums were way too large. The salespeople in the store gave me very little help, ignored me for most of the time I was trying to find clothing in my size, and actively chastised me when I was trying to put the clothing back myself. When I asked if they had any additional inventory, and that I was having trouble finding something in my size, the saleswoman just said«no» stonily and walked away. Then I went to OK Uniform Company on Church St(near Franklin st 1 stop) who are AMAZING and bought a lot of stuff. Skip B&R and go straight to O.K.

Is this seriously the only place to buy scrubs in all of Manhattan? This tiny hole in the wall old school store? In a city full of hospitals, I find this very hard to believe! I came here in(almost) desperation for all white tops and bottoms in Petite XS. They had ZERO merchandise on hand in my size and color. On top of that, the woman was super anal and told me to «watch it» when I was trying it on because I had my rainboots on during an extremely rainy day. They didn’t even have any Petite XS in other colors so I could see if the whites would fit appropriately when their next shipment came in the following week. I asked if I could give her my phone number to call me when the next shipment came in, and she hesitantly said«yes». I didn’t even bother following up after she rang up my friend’s purchases. I promptly went online to and bought a $hitload of matching tops and bottoms in a variety of brands and styles. Missed opportunity for business, B&R!

i’m not an easy size to fit…6’8″…i have always had to order uniforms online and then have them custom fit… i needed a new pair of scrubs ASAP, and walked into B & R out of desperation… the sales staff was amazing, and she walked right over to the shelf and pulled my size like people my height are in there every day…

I second Kathleen C.‘s sentiments — why aren’t there more medical uniform shops in NYC? Well nevermind that — I made the trek to B&R and found it to be completely worth it. Good and organized selection of lab coats, and what seemed to be a great selection of scrubs. Got a pen light that I will lose, as always, and found a lab coat that fits almost perfect(although my freakishly long arms make finding a women’s tailored lab coat a chore — seriously, does everyone have stubby arms or am I indeed, just a freak?). Debate amongst yourselves. ..

Well my mentor was moving his feet a little too slowly for me and my lab mate so we went here to get labcoats. So let me preemptively state that we’re both obnoxious and HAD to have non-white labcoats because clearly we’re just too cool for school. They didn’t have that many labcoat color choices(in sharp contrast to their scrubs), but they did have grey and blue. They have other sizes and styles in a backroom and they brought me out a grey labcoat with a more feminine cut than what I had tried on on the main floor. The owner was nice but clearly did not want me and my buddy physically touching the merchandise lest we mess up his perfect piles and arrangement of garments. The labcoats cost approx. $ 27 and our boss is gonna reimburse us so in essence it was a win-win for the scientific community.

It’s hard to believe that in a city with what seems like at least 20 hospitals and thousands of health care professionals that this tiny hole in the wall is the only place that people buy scrubs for work. I mean, sure you can order online but how does someone new to a health care profession know what size to get unless they… well, you know, try it on at least once? i suppose that is what B&R is for. it does have a crazy variety but a very limited number of each kind. and a very limited color selection. The nice Filipino man who owns the place(and makes a point of telling people that he’s the only one in town) knows his stuff but is a bit shady about making sure to pick the more expensive brands, and always at the last minute. there’s a large selection of shoes and other paraphernalia(stethoscopes, penlights, etc) also available. but ultimately i’d say come here when you’re not sure what size scrubs to wear, buy maybe one thing and order the rest of it from .

Because I’m new to the city, I came here under the recommendation of a friend. The sales staff was exceedingly helpful, but the selection is paltry. I walked out with a good deal on some shoes, but mismatched white scrubs.

My girlfriend and I went to B& R yesterday to get some scrubs. They had a really large selection and were very helpful(we weren’t pestered at all). Even though we weren’t looking for them, they have a room of nursing shoes, even some for men! They also sell lots of chef/restaurant, maid, etc apparel. Their business card claims they have the«Largest selection of uniforms and scrubs in the Tri-State area.»
