I love my purse! I mostly store my sparkling water and plain yogurt in it, because most other foods are like, «choo choo, next stop your thighs» amirite?

Came to replace a very well worn and beloved bag bought years ago, had only a short time to pop into Manhattan and get a new one then back to Brooklyn. I have now waited 25 minutes for them to open (supposed to open at noon). Store is dark. Such a bummer!

Best bags I own are from here. I keep getting compliments on the very first one I bought at their store in LES five years ago. It’s in perfect condition, so wearable and practical. My favorite feature: its very original design.

I purchase purse and wallet and I love them. They made from leather and look handmade. Also everything on sale. The purse that I wanted was yellow and a little dirty. Gentleman tried to help me and fixed it, but it did not help. And they said it was last one. So anyway I decided to buy it. During the conversation I told them I work not far from here. Well, I went to my work and after an hour gentleman came back with new purse that he founded in the stock and bring it to me. Absolutely new, clean and yellow :) I was happy. I satisfied with customer service and so thankful for that gentleman. It was really nice of him.

I wandered into this place right after I got blood drawn a couple of blocks away. probably not the best idea. I purchased the most adorable leather backpack and a super soft leather crossbag from florence. They were both extremely high quality and the store just happened to be having a 30%-50% sale. I only ended up spending about $ 120 for both! The clerk/​owner was super nice and wasn’t pushy at all.

When I walked in the lady at the counter made comments about my weight… It was just uncomfortable.
Be prepared to drop $ 200 + on a non designer bag. After bringing it home, I realized it was not worth it because the quality diminishes VERY quickly. The bag has not lasted.
This place is weird & the staff is bizarre. I agree with the recent other comments of the poor bag quality and rude staff!

This place used to be great. like, 2 – 3 years ago. But during my last trip there the woman working (maybe the owner?) was rude, and the bags look like they’ve gone down in quality and selection. the salespeople who used to work there were young and friendly and helpful, without being pushy. Some of the bags I saw during my last visit you can get right over in Chinatown. I’ve bought a few bags here in the past, but I don’t think I’ll be back anymore.

I’ve admired bags at this store for quite some time. I finally invested in a messenger bag last December — it was on sale, originally valued at $ 350. After three months, the strap broke. Totally uncool. Much worse was what happened next. I took it to the store and asked them to fix it. Seemed reasonable, no? Apparently not. The manager scolded me for having the audacity to carry two paperback books and a notebook in the bag — apparently, that’s way too heavy. When I pointed out that it seemed like a design or manufacturing flaw, given the bag’s size (we’re talking 12 by 18 here), she told me that wasn’t her responsibility. When I pointed out that the bag was in fact made in-​house and designed by the store, she said it still wasn’t her problem. Apparently, it was outrageous of me to think they’d do some basic customer service — I wasn’t trying to return the bag or get a refund, I just didn’t want to pay to get it repaired. Sigh.

I guess the sales staff has changed since the last review a year ago… My experience was quite negative. There was only one person (on a busy day) who only got animated when chastising customers to drop their umbrellas in the bucket by the door. Otherwise, she was all about straightening the bags into compulsively neat rows and copping an attitude like customers are just SO annoying ’cause they mess up these neat rows…
BUT the smooth leather purses, non-​designer, timeless styles in a rainbow of colors are quite wonderful. Merchandise needs to sell itself because she certainly didn’t help it get purchased. Also beware of the half-​priced bags on the rear wall… Look closely at their leather quality which is clearly inferior to that of the regular priced bags. Be sure to visit nearby Amigos de Tierra first. Far fewer bags but better buttery leather, cool inexpensive leather jewelry, and super nice sales staff.

I almost walked out with a wallet, before I realized that my old one managed the job perfectly fine. even though this one looked and felt a lot prettier.
LOVE THIS STORE. I think their soft leather purses in all sorts of styles, colours, shapes and designs are well worth the visit.
GO. But be prepared to drop $ 200 — $ 400. These beauties are not cheap, and are a treat.

High quality, unique bags. All the bags are classy and made of good leather. They also sell beautiful scarves and tunics. I got a really nice tunic here for only $ 20. And I have gotten many compliments on it!
It is on an assuming street and the owner is laid back and lets you browse without being pushy.
There was also a cute dog napping on the couch. My kind of store.

I’ve bought bags here before and love them! So I must say that I like the store and the selection of bags they have, but…
I bought a bag and when I brought it back to get a refund 3 days later the sales associate said that there is NO REFUND, only store credit and exchanges. I was a bit taken a back as I was not made aware that there were no refunds (after 3 days), to which she mentioned that it is printed on the receipt and there are no exceptions whatsoever.
The size of the receipt by the way is 2.5 X 2 inches, so as you can imagine the size of the print was very small. And if one gets the notice on the receipt, isn’t that too late anyway?!
I think merchants have a responsibility to disclose their policies so their customers do not feel swindled, and this was not the case.
Needless to say, I will not spend a penny more than the store credit I now have.

While I love the look and style of the bags and accessories in this store, I am extremely disappointed in the quality of the product. I purchased a bag that cost nearly 400 dollars, and after owning it for only a year, it began to fall apart. First the interior lining all came apart, and the actual holes began forming in the leather near the zipper. After owning it for less than two years, it’s now unusable. If I pay that amount of money for a bag, I expect it to last more than a year. I’ve bought bags from H&M and American Apparel that have lasted three times as long. While I truly appreciate the fashionable look of the bags at Bag, I will never purchase anything there again.

I love this place for their unique but not loud purses made of the softest leather! The store’s small, but there’s so many colors of each bag I find something to like every time I come. It’s nice to be able to find a purse that isn’t typical black or brown. Only thing is they aren’t cheap — $ 200 to $ 400 per bag.
Don’t bring the boyfriend though! I brought mine and drove him crazy by trying on the same bag in 5 different colors and then asking him which one he liked the best. Hmm. I’ll bring an honest girlfriend with a critical eye next time.

The management at this store rocks! I brought a certain pricing discrepancy to the manager’s attention. Not only did she thank me for bringing this matter to her attention as she was unaware, she reached out to her supplier to see if she could negotiate better prices of certain bags. She sincerely apologized for the misfortune.
It goes to show that this store cares about their customer and wants to retain customer satisfaction, which is hard to find these days. Management went out of their way to resolve the issue, kept my updated on the pricing status and was polite, genuinely apologetic and professional throughout!

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!
I am so incredibly sad and I will tell you why. I have this friend Yvette who is a bigger purse whore than I am (who knew that was even possible?!). Anyhoo, she and I will go to lunch for business and usually end up spending most of the time yapping about our fave bags, boutiques and shoes. Hey, I am not proud of this, but it’s the damn truth.
So, on our last lunch I was pretty much stalking her new bag and mentioned that I was heading out to NY and she just about jumped out of her seat and started raving about Bag; this incredible little store in Little Italy that carries TANO bags. And trust me, when you dangle the TANO carrot in front of my nose, prepare to get your finger lopped off! They are just the greatest bags ever!
She went on to tell me that she scored that bag there and ever since that lunch, I have been dreaming about this bag. And so today, while toolin around town with my friend and checking out the sights, we found our way over to this store, only to find that they didn’t have them anymore. Soooo bummed. I mean, granted, I set myself up for this. But much like the Easter Bunny or the Toof Fairy, ya gotta believe in it people and miracles can happen, like a TANO bag!
They still had a wealth of other cute TANO stuff and I easily could have cleaned that store out, but I had my little heart set on that bag, so I passed on buying anything. I will be back however, oh yes, I will be back!

Bag shopping in Soho can feel a little intimidating for those with little spending loot, but Bag is a pleasant surprise. This warmly-​lit, understated store practically invites you in to pick up, try on, and subsequently add something sumptuous to your purse collection. They have a wide array of leather bags in vibrant colors, and styles ranging from hobo to messenger to clutch. Prices range from $ 100-​$ 300, but for the quality and range of use, it feels like a worthy investment. The store clerks were attentive, but laid back when I needed time to deliberate. The only downside is that it may be all too easy to part with my cash here.
