C.S. Leung Rehabilitation is the longest running and most established Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation practice in Chinatown. Dr. Jonathan Leung and Dr. Ching Sum Leung are father and son physicians who are dual certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Medicine and Medical Acupuncture. Highly respected among their peers and the Chinese community, they reduce pain problems, in a manner which does not include unwanted side effects and unnecessary interventions. While they are American board-​certified physicians, they also incorporate some Eastern medicine/​alternative medicine approaches to their care when appropriate. Dr. Jonathan Leung & Dr. Ching Sum Leung are both board-​certified physicians specializing in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. History

Established in 1978.

Dr. Ching Sum Leung, M.D. completed his medical school training at the National Defense Medical Center, Taipei, Taiwain. He subsequently completed his Residency training in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Long Island Jewish-​Jamaica Hospital. He has obtained his board-​certification through the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ABPMR). He holds a New York State License in Medicine and Surgery along with a license to perform Acupuncture in the State of New York. He helped established the first multi-​specialty medical practice in Chinatown, Confucius Medical Group. While doing so, he also established C.S. Leung Rehabilitation Medicine in 1978

Dr. Jonathan Leung is a board certified physician in the field of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. Dr. Leung is one of few medical doctors who also holds a license to practice Acupuncture. From his experience and training, he has seen that Eastern Medicine (Acupuncture) can produce excellent results, especially when administered as a compliment to traditional western medicine. Dr. Leung is an advocate of Acupuncture because of it’s minimal side effects and efficacy with pain management.

In addition to treating patients with Acupuncture, he will also administer joint injections and utilize electrodiagnostic testing when necessary. Dr. Leung is an advocate for non-​narcotic pain management. He is a dedicated physician that seeks to provide patient-​centered care through a customized approach.
