I came here because the line for chick-fil-a was TOOOOOO long and I didn’t want to wait. I ordered the fried chicken fingers platter with yellow rice and mashed potato. The chicken was soggy and not crispy at all. It was also kind of dry(it definitely would be better if they fry it again so it will be hot and crispy). The yellow rice was alright but it had too much pepper on it. As for the beef stew, it was alright too.

I used to go here almost 4 times a week out of convenience(breakfast/lunch time) but that changed about 4 months ago. I ordered an omelette and they gave it to me with cheese. The lady at the register charged me for the cheese I did not even order, fine, I didn’t even notice. Walked back to the office and noticed the cheese. Went back to show them, and their solution? Scoop out the cheese and basically half the omelette and hand it back to me. Their service was already mediocre and that day I decided to never go back. Usually go to blacksmith across the street now, sure they don’t know my order like café 37 used to but at least their cashier/service isn’t rude.

Great lunch spot. They have everything. The menu is actually almost overwhelming because of all the options. And so far I’ve tried their traditional sandwiches and their Mexican spread and I was highly impressed with both. Reasonable prices, and the staff is so friendly and attentive there. Get the lunch rush moving as quickly as possible but don’t rush you when you’re trying to order, which is nice. Definitely will keep coming here and try more options to see if it lives up to the rest!

I love this place. I come here most work-days for a salad, sandwich, or sometimes even the occasional quesadilla. They’re such hard workers and the staff listen to your order. Not to mention, the food is delicious and tastes so authentic and home-cooked. My coworkers are obsessed with the chicken francaise. I usually opt for the salad and the salad guy knows my order at this point! They also recognize regulars at check out and always make a point to say hello. They’re also pretty quick with delivery, I always see the delivery guy busting his ass running around midtown by foot. Take it up with them directly if you’re unhappy with an order and they will fix it immediately but don’t post a negative review on Unilocal without trying first. They work too hard to please! I have nothing bad to say about this place, they’re my peoples.

After Blacksmith Deli across the street closed down, I randomly tried this place. So far every sandwich I’ve eaten from here was great, filling, and didn’t leave me feeling bloated like Blacksmith’s crap used to. Quick, never crowded, and has a great selection; definitely a great alternative from Picnic Basket’s overcrowded and slow orders. This is now my top sandwich place while I’m at work and I love it.

The food here is pretty good. Personally Im a big fan of the atkins burger(its delicious). The prices are quite fair. About $ 7 or $ 8 for a deluxe burger which includes fries, and a drink. They also have a variety of foods to pick from. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent food, lots of elbow room upstairs. V. Good prices. Beef burrito delish, yummy mixed salad, good chicken soup(w/potatoes). Brought my 3 kids here for lunch. We recharged our batteries away from the bustle. We will return.

I will keep this short and to the point. This place has by far the best food on the block and for the best price. The selection is also quite big. Also, BREAKFASTISAMAZINGHERE. THUMBSUP.

Ouch! I come here often(if anyone can sniff out a good burrito it’s me!) Officially docking a star due to absolutely unfriendly and rude cashiers. One of them grabbed my credit card out of my hand(which was not extended to her) before she told me the price of my lunch, and threw a fit when I asked her to tell me the price. She yelled it out loud like it was the 10th time I’d asked her, and when I asked her for a receipt she literally«shooed» me away to make room for the next customer. Not appreciated, not even a little. The food here is great, but several unpleasant experiences with the cashiers leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Café 37 has quickly become of my go to places in midtown for lunch. Haven’t had a bad lunch from here yet and the prices are right. Go to the back for the tacos. The selection is usually beef(which is essentially pepper steak), chicken, pork and spicy pork. Every once and a while they have chorizo but it’s rare. The shells are soft corn and they are doubled up. They offer lettuce, sour cream, a green chili sauce, avocado sauce. You can get shredded cheese but it’s an extra $.75/taco. Don’t bother, you don’t need it. The tacos are stuffed and they are only $ 2.50 each. 3 tacos is a huge lunch. The burrito’s are available with the same fillings and they are huge as well. They also offer hot plate lunch specials for about $ 7. You get a protein of choice and two sides. The sandwiches are good as well and priced on par with other midtown deli’s if not better. They have some pre-made wraps that are huge and look pretty good. I haven’t tried one but I’ve heard they are good. One thing that can not be under valued is there good selection of chips. On the right hand wall when you walk in they have a large selection of ‘gourmet’ chips. I love the Deep River cheddar and horseradish! They also have a make your own salad bar but I haven’t tried it yet. Do yourself a favor and go check this out for lunch if you work in midtown. You won’t regret it.

Fast friendly and efficient This is my lunch spot because I work across the street I absolutely love: the roast pork w mashed potatoes, the salted cod(bacalao) w their tomato sauce, and quesadillas… Sometimes they have side dishes like mangu, and maduros… These r the dishes I always get when I go to café 37 they have other dishes like roasted chicken, tacos, pasta, your typical deli tossed salad, sandwiches… but I opt out of those… I love what i listed above… it. s like a grandma made it w love… it. s so flavorful. It is very very hearty… so I warn you… u will get sleepy and NYC doesn’t really have ciestas…

The food is complete crap. The only nice thing about the place is it is away from the hustle and bustle of the city. I had chicken lomain and I have never had worse the food was all mush and bland like it had been sitting for a bit. The place also does false advertising saying they serve pizza but when I went in the guy said no. avoid this place if you value your money and luch hour.

Wow, talk about a place you can truly get everything. Mexican, Italian, American, you name it, all in this little place. And there is ample seating upstairs. So you know ahead of time, it’s an order-in-line-and-wait-there type of place and then you take your food upstairs. No wait staff. The food was all decent though and I’d definitely come back.

Great little deli! Its clean and the staff is always friendly. I usually get a salad from here at least once a week. The little man who makes the salads is adorable and takes great pride in serving his customers. He knows my order and begins making it before I even get to the counter! They have a variety of hot dishes, soups, and sandwiches. All are good and everything is always consistent. The prices are also incredibly reasonable. Perfect place to escape the office and grab a quick bite.
