Refined presentations of Cuban classics in a homey setting make this East Village restaurant a neighborhood find
History
Established in 2007.
Husband Ricardo Arias and Wife Patricia Valencia bring their dream of authentic cuban cuisine to NYC’s lower east side. The goal was to give diners a refined presentation of cuban classics in a «Mom &Pop» type setting.
Café Cortadito has a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere offering a unique dining experience. It has a rustic décor that is heavily influenced by the many different cultural aspects of old world Cuba. You can find elegant candle stick holders next to old cuban currency while staring at pictures of beautifully restored antique cars, all from your seat.
