I used Carucha for a photoshoot with my parents and my giant dog, she was amazing! I can’t tell you how patient she was, and somehow what I thought was going to be total chaos turned out to be the best pictures I have of my family.

What a great photographer! Carucha photographed my husband and I with our two boys ages 2 &5. She was very patient with the kids and they warmed up very easily to her. She went out of her way to get them to giggle and capture their true personalities! Great photographer!

Rue is super patient, fun, and amazing! She photographed me, my husband, 8 month old son and our boxer dog! I dont know how she was able to get such great pictures. My son, dog, and husband were all over the place. I didn’t think she’d be able to get 1 shot with all of them looking in the same direction, but she did! They all came out amazing. She even managed to make me look good even though I still had quite a bit more weight to lose. She was punctual, easy going, and professional. I loved the fact that she was creative and her pics were very modern and contemporary. Thanks, Rue!

I purchased a Groupon for CLM to photograph an event (my daughter’s first birthday).
Communication: I found the best way to share updates and to communicate with Carucha was via email. She responded in a timely manner and provided important paperwork well in advance of our event.
Personality/​Style: It was great that the photography for the party was one less thing to worry about. Carucha put us at ease with her positive disposition and flexibility. We had a few younger kids at the party and she was a natural at making them comfortable and helping them to laugh (which made for some great photos). She worked off our requests to capture the day and her photos were really crisp and creative. Carucha paid attention to the little things (like fixing my hair a bit or turning my husband to the side a bit) to help make each photo polished and refined (and definitely helped us look our best).
Cost: Since we purchased Carucha’s services through a Groupon deal, the discounted fee included fifty images and a free 8×10. Carucha took extra photos to choose from for purchase. Despite a minor glitch (quickly resolved) the process, choosing extra photos, and receiving all materials was worry-​free and pretty easy to handle.
Bottom Line: I would definitely recommend using CLM Visuals for events/​photo sessions. Carucha was really great to work with, has a great personality and aesthetic, and takes really great photos.

Carucha was a pleasure to work with. She is very detailed, humorous and easy to work with. We purchased her service through a Groupon for our daughters baptism and she exceeded our expectations. She got all of the shots that I requested on my list and the pictures are absolutely beautiful!!! She was also great with our 8 month old daughter, doing all she could to make her smile and laugh (she gave great direction with the adults as well). I enjoyed working with Carucha and would definitely use her for future events!

Carucha photographed our newborn when he was 12 days old. She was great with the baby; she was patient when he would get fussy and needed to take a break and she was good with soothing him. She’s a very talented photographer and the pictures turned out so beautiful. Overall it was a good experience and we are so happy with the photographs.

Carucha photographed our wedding in Chicago in November 2008. The photos were stunning. She captured very intimate moments and we never even knew she was there. Time and again, she went beyond the call of duty to get the perfect shots and tell our story. The morning of the wedding, she arrived at 6 am to take photos of me getting ready and then went to the hotel where my fiancé was staying and photographed him for two hours. She was very patient and cooperative and even played the role of wedding coordinator at times, helping guests who were confused about what to do. I even saw her helping the caterer clean up! She does whatever it takes to make your wedding go without a hitch. You can’t go wrong with hiring her.
