Cold Stone Creamery

I love cold stone ice creams and and their wide flavors But I had a worst experience in NYC 42^nd street cold stone. I ordered everybody’s size which is the biggest one and an employee by name Walter very lilt amount as if she is mixing for love it or like it size. It all added unto half of the box and later she just brought plain ice cream without any of the toppings and added to box. When i asked her to add the toppings she said she will charge extra for it.
That is really rude and i have decided not to step into any cold stone creamery in my life

Try to use my amazon local voucher, but it seems this place never opened or at least not open in the evening, while the pubs and restaurants in the same block opened till very late. Once I was there on 9pm, it’s closed, maybe I was too late I thought. But the 2^nd time I was there it was only 7pm, it still not open. The problem is cold stone website indicates that this place open till 10pm. So, if you do need cold stone from this store, make sure you are an early bird.

Cold Stone the chain is delicious but this location is horrible. They are constantly out of major items and the air conditioning is usually broken, resulting in angry, unpleasant staff and half-​melted ice cream.
Tonight I ordered the «peanut butter» signature item and as it was being made, the person behind me ordered the same and was told they were out of peanut butter. Well what did I get then? Apparently my server decided on her own to give me extra peanut butter cups in place of the peanut butter without checking with me. I told her I would prefer something else instead and she threw it in the sink and walked into the back in a huff. Then another server crammed my medium re-​order into a small cup and I was on my way with my melted treat.

I was cheated at this place. I ordered a Cookies and Creamery ice cream cake for a birthday party, paid $ 56 dollars, and the cake turned out to have no cookies and cream ice cream. Just vanilla. Never again!
Update!
Called the store! Spoke to a woman who is the assistant manager and who claims to have PERSONALLY SUPERVISED the making of the cake who insisted that it was cookies and cream ice cream. Told her i would be happy to bring back whats left of it as proof of her lie or incompetence. Will keep you posted.

Great place for ice cream in the HK area.
Not much else to say other than that the flavors are good (I love their mint ice cream combinations) and that the service was okay during the times I visited. Oddly I don’t have a lot of complaints — beyond the fact that the woman at the register was flaky. She swiped my card then literally walked away. I had to flag someone else down to get my receipt.
Generally people there were helpful, but seemed somewhat surly. Maybe it was a long day?
Strange, but oh well. At least the ice cream was good!

Cake N Shake Milkshake… enough said. Heaven in A Cup!
I like this Cold Stone better than the other one in Times Square because this one is more quite, less crowded so better service. I think they have downsized in their cups though because the price has come down a little bit but the quality of ice cream/​shakes have not changed which I why I ALWAYS go with Cold Stone before Carvel, Mr. Softee or any other ice cream spots in the city.

I treated myself to a nice little cup of coffee ice cream today. The flavor was wonderful! But– as I walked along, eating my treat, I felt something strange in my mouth. I took it out, and discovered that it was a blond hair about 12″ long. I’m not blond, and my hair is very short. And, by the way, the server had short dark hair, so it wasn’t hers, either. Totally totally gross… but all I could do was walk home and BOIL (almost) my mouth out! What could be more disgusting!

Dig in nice and deep. Thats right. Now slap it down on that cold frosty surface.
Mix it up baby, just like I like it.
What? Oh yes, I say dreamily, add some of that chocolate to my vanilla. Ohhhh yeah.
Why yes, indeed I would like like some whipped cream on it hunny.
What can I say? Across the street from my apartment, young dumb pretty boys making amazing thousand calorie dreamy concoctions of every sinful sweet you can imagine. Who cares if its crowded or hot in there or that its dripping down my hands as he gives it to me good? The ice cream, its all about the ice cream people, get your minds out of the gutter! Of course this is probably better than any of the things you are imagining anyways :)

«Stone Cold Dead Serious»
This place provides strong motivation lately while I am at the gym. I want my summer and to eat it to, and that’s here at Cold Stone.
Flavours rotate occasionally but strong foundation of staple varieties. The myriad of toppings is daunting for someone who can barely choose which underwear to wear sometimes. (me!)
This location is much more manageable than the one in Times Square. The Times Square location is long and narrow, which leads to confusing lines and epic temperatures. Not to mention you’ll deal with gobs of tourists asking «Where are the Cadbury brand candies»
There are a couple of tables but I suggest getting it to go and taking it down to the pier or park. Also do you really desire to hear the staff forced to sing songs out loud when they get a tip? I didn’t think so.
Always a smiling team that works here, even though it changes often. They also take credit card which is hard to find in your typical mom and pop ice cream shoppe.

I have never been to a worse Coldstone. I came here with my birthday certificate, which is a buy one, get one coupon. My partner and I ordered and proceeded to check out. When I presented the cashier with the coupon I was told I could not use it because I had ordered a «Signature Creation» and the coupon was good for a «Creation.» Apparently this employee thought that meant a «Custom Creation» only. As I explained to him that it didn’t make any sense, he just walked away and left me to deal with another cashier. I have contacted Coldstone’s corporate office and am waiting to hear back. I reviewed the coupon and the disclaimer and the reality is that it’s for any creation. In fact, it would have actually cost the store more money if I got a custom creation as I could have added more mix-​ins. Anyway, that’s the last time I deal with this store. Never again.

I hadn’t been to a Cold Stone since I moved to NYC in 2010. I left it in the dustbin with Chili’s and Olive Garden and Red Lobster as a place that I simply did not visit now that I was a sophisticated urbanite.
But taste buds often win out over my desire to be classy and such was the case this weekend when I found myself positively desperate for some ice cream. Cold Stone was across the street, so Cold Stone is where my feet led me.
I got a «like it» strawberry with graham cracker pie crust. It was delicious. And the girl behind the counter was exceedingly sweet and talkative. I don’t think she stopped smiling the entire time we were there.
Sophistication be damned! Cold Stone is delicious.

My fave is plain sweet cream. (I’m boring i know). I’ve just had every single concoction of cold stone ice cream and mixins imaginable (used to work there) that now plain old sweet cream is just fine. want yum? when they have banana ice cream, mix it w/​graham cracker crumbs, marshmallows and top w/​whipped cream.
Came back into this Cold stone last week on evening and the cute gay boy behind the counter spent 15 mins on one order cause he was so busy flirting w/​the cute gay boy ordering. As a former employee, I wanted to go behind and make scoop my own plain ice cream into a cup (not hard). but as a customer, I walked out.
I’ll come back when there’s no wait. The new people working here are just so soo slow. I’m a year round ice cream eater so I’ll be craving again soon.

I LOVE COLD STONE, but not THIS coldstone.
Mostly because of an employee — I was the only customer but he took forever trying to read the ingedients for the cheesecake lover ice cream I ordered and putting them in one at a time. by the time i got my ice cream it was all melted, then he forgot to put it in a cone. this was after i paid 5.50 and then he told me my total was 6.50 (charged me for the whole thing again.) ridiculous. i told him to forget it and stuck w my melted ice cream in a cup.
Avoid the small, slow effeminate white guy. he’s kind of good looking which shouldve been a sign that something was wrong. good looking people over 25 years old dont usually work at ice cream places.

This place is a typical Coldstone — amazing ice cream. More spacious than the Times Square location, but only slightly so. I think there is one table to sit down at. Still, it’s better to grab and go. I love Coldstone. Again, I say OPEN ONE UP DOWNTOWN! :(

I freaking LOVE this place. If you don’t, I ‘m either going to assume there is something seriously wrong with you, or your one of «those «people who wouldn’t like it b/​c it’s not starfish gelato with sea weed and truffle oil. you know the people I’m talking about… the «foodies»…but i digress…
This is not just ice cream. It’s heaven. I can’t even explain it. I’m not even an ice cream kinda gal. But offer me this and I’ll gladly take every single one of those 1500+ calories.
I also HATE, and I mean HATE with a passion, the whole times sq area. (NO, I do not want to see a comedy show tonight!!!) But I will make that dreaded trip just for a scoop of their creamy heaven on a chocolate dipped waffle cone.
If you go here, and you realllllly should… I suggest the birthday cake remix. The way it is. My b/​f would tell you chocolate devotion… but everyone has their own, thats the fun of it. You can do w/​e you want… just put thought into. I did this once and the end result wasnt so hot. Apparently all of the different candies does not work mixed in the sweet cream ice cream.
While the service isn’t professional, or 5 star… it’s more often than not still fun. The people working there seem to enjoy it, or at least make the most of there shift while also making the customers laugh and enjoy the cold stone experience.

Ice cream always tastes better when its cold out.
I recommend:
1. Coffee ice cream with brownies.
2. Strawberry Blonde (Coldstones creation)

No other Ice cream will ever be the same!

I come here for the sinless nonfat no sugar added ice cream. Cold stone makes several sinless flavors though typically they only serve one of them at this location at a time. I usually have mine topped with pecan or walnuts. Yum!

Isn’t an ice cream shop suppose to be some what cool. Well that’s not the case as this CS. After we reached a high of almost 90 you would think it would be chilly in here. We walk in its hot, there is some heat breeze rolling in from the back part of the room and the staff is obviously in another world.
When my ice cream was served it was already starting to melt. FAIL!!!
There is something seriously off about this place.
