Let’s remember we’re rating a dollar pizza store. That being said 2 nights ago 4 slices for $ 4 and it was one of the best pizza nights at any price. The employees are quick and professional.

Eh, not the best pizza. The pizza is hit or miss. Tonight the pizza was lukewarm, the crust was flaccid and limp. The flavor was sad. Would not recommend.

So the sign out in front of the place says«The Best $ 1 Slice Pizza», not the actual name of the place, a much more trumped up «The Best Pizza» which they surely aren’t. But it’s a dollar a slice! Not $ 0.99 plus tax or whatever, but ONEDOLLAR. You hand them a George Washington and they hand you a slice of pizza, the novelty of it was so amazing I had to do it twice. And it’s not that bad! Sure it’s not gonna win any awards, but it’s far better than you’d get at any sort of chain. So why 4 stars instead of 3 for«not that bad»? The value of it all overwhelms me. Of course if you wanna get fancy with various meats or vegetables on your pizza then things change, but why would you do such a thing when there’s free shakers to dress your slice(s) with garlic, red pepper, and oregano?

Your Standard Dollar Slice Overall: 2.5 There is nothing impressive about the pizza here. As for $ 1 slices go it is exactly what you expect. The slices are of decent quality. Slices with toppings are extra of course. It is extremely small but very visible, so it is easy to miss if you aren’t looking at all. The Best Pizza is a place you pass and say, «Hey I’m a little hungry time to grab a quick slice to satisfy my hunger until I get home.» Then name is hilarious(ironic) considering they sell dollar slices, but whatever, it sells pizzas I guess.

As cliché as the name is, for $ 1-$ 2.50, it really is the best pizza. You’ve got to be sure they heat it for you, or it’s made fresh and still hot. Cold pizza just isn’t the same. I’ve tried the cheese, my favorite, spicy chicken, bacon, and pepperoni. All are delicious! It tastes like the New York style pizza you crave! The shop is small and meant to get you in and out, like a real New Yorker you have to walk and eat. They have a few tables that you can stand at and eat quickly but this is not a restaurant you stay at for a short period of time. If you’re looking for a true New York pizza and experience I highly suggest here! Bonus they are open 24 hours, and pizza at 3 am tastes so much better!

You better have really good pizza to earn this name. First of all they make pizzas at budget prices. We can all use a break from domino’s pizza. It won’t go pass 3 bucks for a slice with toppings. Plain is just a dollar and all it does is attract school kids after school. As for the quality of the pizza, it falls very short of «the best pizza»…well a lot short. It’s just decent pizza

Love this place. They have a great $ 1 slice. It’s a hole in the wall with no place to sit, but it’s fast and good if you’re in a rush or on a budget. I go at least once a week. Just make sure to ask for the slice extra hot because sometimes they only pop it in the oven for a minute.

Pizza is good. For dollar pizza that is. But the really heavy set guy always eats behind the counter and never washes his hands… Its disgusting.

Here’s the story. I called last night for delivery… Answer: Hello? Seriously? Can you announce the name of the business so at least I know I have the right number? Something along the lines of «Good Evening – The Best Pizza… How may I help you… Second, I ask for delivery. Answer: What would you like? Seriously? How about asking me for my address, name and phone number? Third, they call me back and they say – «can I ask you a question? Did you order the vege pizza?» Seriously? Can’t you get your orders straight, and finally, fourth after an hour, I call and ask them where is my pizza and they say. it’s coming it’s coming…5 minutes later… he gets to the door(and I actually think it was the guy I talked to on the phone), and he has 3 separate boxes as they«ran out of the large boxes». Oooookkkkkkayyyyyyyy… so they conveniently cut up my whole pizza into separate slices. Their saving grace was that the chicken roll was decent… All this for $ 25 dollars. NEVERAGAIN. Get your f… ing act together…

Coming out of a concert starving, my friends and I were scrambling to find some great food. We stopped by a few places and they all were one of three things: closed, overcrowded to the point where you can’t eat, or looked like death. This place is none of those. After a few failed attempts we saw this place advertising their $ 1 slices. The place is small, but that’s all it needs. I ordered a vegetable pizza and it was so good I had to order another for the walk back home. Great prices, great quality, highly recommended.

I think this is a standard pizza you can expect from this city. While I was waiting for my company for dinner, I decided to have a slice of sausage and pepperoni. It was pretty tasty, but I am 99% sure you can get pizza of this quality in most places in the city in reasonable price. For that reason this is a 3 star pizza. Don’t get me wrong. This is a tasty pizza.

As a tourist from Washington DC(via Atlanta) my mates and I found this place at 1am after a night of bar hopping. Now I know what your’e going to say: When you’re drunk anything can taste good, but this place was different. The pizza here was great while drunk, with a hangover the next day for lunch, and even better sober the following week for dinner. The slices are large and fresh, not cardboard as other $ 1 places might be, and they seemed to really put some care in making it taste good. I can’t say enough good things about this place. Perfect«hole in the wall — literally» food stop. One caveat: Don’t sit on the bench outside. A couple of us sat out there on that bench, and a woman waiting for the restaurant next door invaded, screamed at us, yelled homophobic slurs, and generally made a scene. Why? Because that bench was for the restaurant NOT the pizza place. Typical, unfriendly NYC, but she was a bit extreme. Otherwise a great pizza place. Certainly better than anything we have in DC.
