I really enjoyed my first experience at Cosmed Laser Spa. They staff was very warm and welcoming, and made me feel very comfortable with trying a new procedure. The technician explained everything as the procedure was taking place and answered any questions I had. The office is clean and organized and I would definitely recommend it to friends.

I have been with Nailya for over 2 years. She is amazing! She is very thorough during the laser hair removal treatment. I have purchased several packages including medium areas, large areas and full body. The full body was by far the best! I should have started with that to clear up/​zap the medium and large areas all during one session. But you live and you learn.
Cosmed Laser Spa also has very competitive prices for such a great service.
Nailya and her staff have always taken the time to answer all of my questions, explain the process and discuss preventative measures for hair regrowth and sun damage.
Additionally, the office has been very flexible with their appointment times. Everyone in the office is really friendly and helpful.

Had my first session and it went great. Elevator wasn’t working when I came in so I called them and they came downstairs to get me. Elevator was working when I finished so idk what happened. Staff was all very nice and lovely. Made you feel welcomed. Session was 20 mins and went fast. Feels like a massage. Only thing to keep in mind is that I bought my sessions through Groupon which was a good deal. But they do charge a one time $ 50 fee. And also leave a tip :) but I will be coming back for more sessions I really like it. Hopefully I have results :)

I found this place through groupon for a combo and figured «hey why not? It’s a good deal. Let’s try it «.
Prior to arriving I contacted them to ask for assistance and they didn’t understand me and decided to give me attitude before they even saw me. When I finally arrived, I filled out a form and wanted to do one treatment and I asked them one question; will I be charged again for the next visit?
How difficult is that to understand? I understand your not from this country and your English isn’t the best but your customer service should be at your highest. They allowed their customer to walk out unsatisfied and gave me a whole lot of attitude. They don’t know how to manage a «busy» store apparently because they were rushing me saying «we’re busy, it’s busy». Excuse me?
After finally getting the answer, she shows me the prices they have for groupon vs. what I found on THEIR WEBSITE. Comparing the prices online vs what they showed me in stores. Mind you, they were running back and forth with me.
I was completely unsatisfied with my experience with them and left with MY INFORMATION, which is the form I filled out with MY INFORMATION ON IT. So no, I don’t recommend this place because of their POOR service. Good luck ladies!

Thank you for the kind words but please don’t feed the customers false accusations about what happened. Please don’t tell people I was being abusive and rowdy about MY experience, this isn’t your experience to tell. Whether it was you or your lack of inexperience technicians, your company has failed to provide good customer service and you continued to do so by writing an invalid comment to make your «business» look good. Please, do yourself the favor and retrain your staff so you can have happy customers leaving and returning. You’re welcome.

So far so good. Love all treatments the spa has to offer. Great service and very pleasant staff. Currently I’m having vela shape treatment and already can see the difference on my legs and buttocks. I thought I will never get rid of the cellulite but now I will recommend anybody. Cosmed spa offers great deals on Groupon that’s where I got mine from

I am so happy that I found this place. First of all I would like to share my personal experience before COSMED LASER SPA. I was going to various places and it never worked on me my hair grew back only worse and I was very unsatisfied, I have found out the real reason is that a lot of places on GROUPON don’t even use real laser they use IPL which they apply gel on top of your body it hurts so bad and you will know the difference. Before unfortunately I didn’t know the real difference between machines but now I know. The best laser to use is cynosure cooling system. I have completed 6 sessions for full body at COSMED LASER SPA and OMG my results are amazing, not only it’s not painful but it’s fast and clean unlike gels which were so annoying. I recommend to people before buying online services find out what machine they use. I am in love with cynosure I have such great results which is 85% reduction I still have two more sessions because if you buy there package of 6 sessions you get 2 free for full body which I think is amazing !!! I went to other spas who use cynosure also but their prices are unreasonable too expensive. COSMED LASER SPA prices are amazing plus they have a lot of promotions always so best thing is to get free consultation with them. I def recommend this spa to everyone because having such bad experiences in the past I can’t explain how happy I am now to find this place. Appointments are so easy to make, they took me same day like couple times. I also tried their HYDRAFACIAL which I recommend to everyone the skin is so glowing afterwards. Thank you cosmed laser spa helping my skin.

The staff is really friendly and the treatment is effective. It’s been a month and I can already see results!

I’m doing the Vela Shape treatment… it’s simply amazing, I saw the results right after the first sessions. I highly recommend this center and be sure to ask for Anna, she’s the best!!!

I just had my first sessions at Cosmed Laser Spa yesterday and so far I have been very happy with my experience and can’t wait for my next appointment. I purchased a groupon for laser hair removal and I am working on removing the hair on my legs. The first appointment went really well, as I was a little nervous but the women who work there were very friendly and explained how the process was going to work. The session itself went really quickly and the most painful area would have to be around the ankles. Next session is in 4 weeks and I am actually looking forward to it. The place is very clean and neat and the women who work there are very nice and helpful.

Had my first session of laser hair removal after purchasing a groupon and so far so good. It was literally no more than 20 seconds and nearly painless. The ladies are nice and the place is clean. Building looks a little sketchy but no big deal. Looking forward to my next treatment!

To update, I’ve done 3 treatments so far for my upper lip. The hair is still growing a little, especially directly under my nostrils. Last time I went I felt they were in a rush and didn’t fully cover my entire upper lip with the laser. I’m hoping my next sessions are more thorough as I initially really liked their services.

Came in for my second treatment today and the person that helped me — Natalie, was great! She took her time on the indicated areas and was very helpful when I inquired about additional areas. The place is clean, their machines are top notch (I’ve had experience with others), their prices highly competitive, and they are accomodaring schedule wise. I would recommend this place to other people for sure.

Excellent service !!! I purchased my Groupon yesterday and started my Velashape treatment today !!! They are so nice and friendly and really want to help. This is my 1^st session but I already see results. I will be purchasing more services from them and referring all my friends.

I definitely recommend Cosmed Laser Spa. They are flexible in booking appointments and making payments. The results i have had after each session have been incredible. The staff (Nelli, Tatyana) are amazing they talk to you through everything. They are very friendly. Person who did my treatment Tatyana, she is fantastic at what she does and knows what she is doing. :). The place is clean and the prices are very pleasant.

For the record, that which I ‘stole’ from your ‘spa’ was a sheet of paper on which I had written my name, address, DOB, phone number, and medical history. I felt extremely uncomfortable leaving you in possession of personal details which are legally mine.
Your response has confirmed all of my suspicions. Your establishment is unprofessional, and you engage in the very dangerous practice of bullying clients /​prospective clients.

Ok so I have been here twice already after recently buying a group on deal for laser hair removal. The first time I went, there was six people in there. The place is small and dark but I didn’t care as long as it’s clean and did what it promised. I made an appt at 6pm and I would say that she actually did see me around 605 610. It went quick, I thought she was polite and did a good job. In fact I noticed after the first session my hair growth probably reduced by 60% which I was amazed by. I recently wrote about a 2^nd time but soon after writing the reviews, Cosmed contacted me and offered to let me come back again later this week. I did appreciate that very much and I am going back in on this Friday to redo the 2^nd time. I’ve upped my ratings for now as I feel that reaching out and ensuring your customer’s happiness is a big part of doing business. I will update as I go through each of my sessions.

I had an amazing time here, the staff was so lovely. My skin felt renewed after the microdermabrasion and oxygen facial, and the laser hair removal was almost painless since they use a laser which blasts cold air while zapping those pesky hair follicles! I recommend this for anyone who wants a relaxing and effective beauty treatment. Plus, the services are very affordable for Manhattan. I will be coming back here every month from now on!!!

I had my last Velashape sessions with Tatiana and I’m seeing some great results on my thigh area. I brought the 9 session package which I use on three different areas so my results may not have been as prominent but still good. I am still feeling the soreness from the Velashape done yesterday which I consider good. Tatiana is so sweet and knowledgeable. She is very thorough with the machine on each area hence my soreness.
On a side note, I suggest people to try the heating blanket for $ 40. I told all my friends about it because I love it. In essence, you are wrapped inside by plastic then wrapped in this electric heated blanket for an hour. It sweat out your toxins and water weigh. There was literally a huge cup of liquid that came out of my body. I was told it’s equivalent to 4 hrs of exercising because that how much calories it burned. I know because I checked my heart rate right after and it was 150. I was new to it so I was only able to do 50 mins but I love what I saw in the mirror next day. I felt slimmer and lighter. I would probably consider doing this once a month simply to reduce water retention and detoxification.

I found this place through Groupon also, but for the full-​body for $ 809 Groupon, it’s actually only 5 areas. If you book directly through the spa, you can pay a bit more ($ 899) and get unlimited areas. I set up for a consultation, but I was just sat down in a room and given an extended sales pitch instead of talking about the pros and cons, how the laser works, etc. They sell you on this really hard!
That being said, all of the women were very nice, the place was clean, and it is a great deal. So I bought it! I’m going to check in after each of my 8 sessions (full year=8 sessions) to talk about how each one went. My first session is late next week.

UPDATE AFTER SESSION 1:
I couldn’t be happier! When I first walked in, the woman with whom I had made my first transaction remembered me, and even remembered my astrological sign. I got a bit nervous laying on the table sans-​vêtements, so maybe she turned the power down a bit because I didn’t feel a single thing. Some reviews say that it feels a bit like a rubber band snapping against your skin, but I wouldn’t even go that far – I hardly felt it.
The process involves ~25−30 minutes (for almost the whole body) of what amounts to a cool-​air blow dryer, being blown back and forth across your skin, and the machine beeps every time the laser flashes. They use a CynoSure laser, and really-​really, I didn’t feel a thing. I’m not sure if 20 – 30 minutes is too quick actually to make sure that everything gets done quickly enough. Then again I’m not an esthetician, so we’ll have to see! I’ll update again after my next appointment in four weeks.
Last thing – the ladies here are very nice. Throughout my process, my esthetician was very comforting, sweet, and ready to answer any questions that I had. I’m very happy after this first treatment, and would have actually been just as happy if it had hurt a bit more. Great laser, great staff.

UPDATE AFTER SESSION 2:
I noticed big results on my underarms after the first session-80−90% of the hair was gone, and about a 15−20% reduction on my bikini line. On the rest of the areas I really couldn’t tell. I had a different esthetician this time but she was also very nice.
Looking through some of the other comments and people’s concerns, yes, women who work here poke their head in to say things to each other during my session, but they don’t leave the door wide open. Yes, you’re going to be laying naked on a table if you’re getting something like the bikini or full body, but just like when you go to a waxing salon, this is completely normal, especially here, so getting over that fear is a must before doing this. The women are nice, yes they are women and they do this all day, so nobody will be judging you. Yes, you are expected to give a tip, that’s part of getting a service done.
In general, don’t expect this to be an upscale spa where they give you your own robe, slippers, and a glass of wine when you walk in while you’re paying for much less. It’s like shopping at TJ Maxx – they have the same merchandise (i.e. the same lasers) as someplace high-​end, but you’re paying a lot less for it, so the environment will be different. But just like shopping at TJ Maxx isn’t a bad experience like a sample sale in the middle of times square, this isn’t either. I think the service is great for a the price.
Since this is getting really long, I’m just going to update more if anything worthwhile happens instead of every session, but I do still recommend Cosmed!

Overbooked, six people in the waiting room all booked for the same time slot with only two technicians working, unfriendly staff, people are in and out quickly, makes me wonder how thorough they are (20 minutes for a full body treatment without the use of aloe or gel, a full body treatment should be over an hour at the least and not recommended for one session). I hope that they are also taking the time to sanitize the equipment.
Dont let the discount fool you, there is a gratuity fee for each treatment.

Found this place on groupon and, because the deal was so amazing, decided to give it a shot even though there are no Unilocal reviews. So glad I did! This place is very clean and professional, and the ladies running it are very nice and descriptive with their services. They use the CynoSure laser with the cold air blower to help minimize pain, and move very fast so you’re not in there for an hour. Definitely worth it with the groupon! Keep in mind the «unlimited for a year» actually means 8 sessions (1 every 6 weeks max). If you don’t see a package you want on the groupon website, you can call them and ask for a custom package that you can pay for up front at your first appointment. If you go this route, pay in cash instead of with a card, it’ll save you a lot with taxes. Don’t be afraid that there aren’t any reviews on this place, it was great! I’ll update once I’ve gone for a few sessions with how the hair regrowth is. :)
*Update* — A little less than 3 weeks after my first treatment and I have to say, it’s really working! The way laser works (if you’ve never had it done before), is they zap all the follicles and then they grow back in and fall right out. After this happens, you go for more sessions and over time, the amount of regrowth decreases. First it gets patchy, and then it just doesn’t grow back at all. Even though I’ve only done 1 treatment so far, I can definitely tell that the hair is growing back less and is falling out in patches, which is a great sign!
