History
Established in 2003.
After she arrived in New York, Deborah Gavito started Body and Soul – an all-natural baked goods and pastries business – with a $ 300 investment and a year spent lugging fifty-pound sacks of flour around in a borrowed car… to a borrowed kitchen. Her loyal following grew to include specialty stores, supermarkets & customers at her Greenmarket outposts. Body & Soul eventually generated the capital needed to created Counter.
